Try for a date that's not his first night, if you have that option. That way you may end up with more choices for seats. F5 is your friend :) Jealous that you can attend!

I can make 5 additional points from this alone. :)
You did a great job calling out the blatant issues. I watched this drama with a fellow mid-management drone and we were both in awe at how horribly written this drama was, from the business standpoint.

I couldn't wrap my head around them hiring back the ex-lawyer that, through her complete incompetence, allowed them to sign that acquhire contract. Menchildren making decisions with their hormones do not make good business partners. Call this drama a fantasy written by Lewis Skolnick straight out of an 80s movie, then it makes sense.

The scene with the song and the guitar is *everything*. KSH's expressions will make you catch your breath.

The FL annoyed the hell out of me, though. How insensitive is she

Han Ji Pyeong went into my top 4 characters list. He's in good company with Ning Que (Ever Night 1 - not 2, that season 2 never should've been made.), Gu Dong Mae (Mr. Sunshine), and Yi Bang Won (Six Flying Dragons). Charismatic antiheroes, all broken men that go on these spectacular journeys, and while only one of the three goes on to break your heart, they are all so, so fun to watch.

Of course. Not only that, but jipyoung had to explain the damn concept to him. Too lazy to look for a clean scene, but here's a clip from the Swoon. https://www.instagram.com/p/CISpD0UpuWK/

Iirc... It was in the letter dalmi wrote that jipyoung showed to dosan early on. I can't remember if the words were exactly the same, but that was the gist of it.

Writer did the same thing when HJP said to go forward without a map will result in certain death, yet when dalmi wrote this to him he said he related to her sentiment. And then he at the end agreed with Dalmi that she'd made the right decision when she decided to set off without a map. Which one is it? I'm pretty sure HJP just said that in the elevator to be a contrarian to dosan (and the last statement I took as he divorced himself from dalmi's company, like he said to yong san, he only says nice things to companies he doesn't care about), but this and what you mention are two instances out of many that make all these characters seem shallow in the way they process thoughts and communicate.

Agreed, he pushed dosan because he felt bad for him, he stated as much before he left dosan's house. It was also evident to him that he was fighting a losing battle, after dosan stating he'd never give up. What I didn't understand was how he arrived at the conclusion that the hands beat the memories (only because dalmi avoided acknowledging jipyoung's confessions? They were never shown discussing anything about their shared past, for him to arrive at this conclusion) and why the hell couldn't dalmi take over after jipyoung gave her an out. He told her he'd lied to dosan and gave her an opportunity to go after him, why did she choose to leave dosan hanging if she liked him so much? Seriously what a shitty drama.

Could HJP been SDM's love sandbox, where he readied her for the NDS big leagues love affair by being her first love? I mean, I can't write that without laughing, but I suppose that's one way the writer envisioned the dynamic and applied the sandbox metaphor to the romance.

For me the big difference between Reply 1988 and this is that Reply 1988 wasn't primarily about the husband hunt, the story was so rich in so many other ways, that the triangle didn't dominate the conversation as much as it does for this drama - precisely because everything about this drama is so weak. And both Jung Hwan and Taek were so well written, as #teamjunghwan I was able to accept Taek because I understood why she made that choice. Here, well, it's a very different story.

With you 100%. Found the scene, it's on ep 4 timestamp 37:20. It's about his Chuseok wish. He'd forgotten he'd written her about wanting to play Go Stop with his family, and it's the flashback of him doing so in a letter. He's so touched by it, too.

Agreed! There's also the scene later on, episode 2? 3?, where he's shown writing the letter on his own while watching TV with families playing together, where he says his birthday wish is to play Go Stop, right? That first letter and maybe a few after had the grandma's influence, but a point in time came where their exchange became personal and exclusive of grandma.

Nice! I have to pause frequently while watching because I'm laughing so much, I can't read the subs lol. The scene with the severed finger and the Tony Montana-esque massacre was a turning point in the drama for me. It was hilarious!
