I am totally itching for a character reveal like on The Last Empress, by the same writer. They actually switched…
I will check that one too. The World of the Married, and to an extent Secret Love Affair, made me fall in love with these zany dramas. They remind me so much of the telenovelas of my childhood, but, uh, crazier lol

Not yet, no, I only learned about it after Penthouse. I think I can only take one crazy drama at a time lol

I'm praying for a Cheese in the Trap ending, but with HJP doing the sneak at the end instead of Yawn Do San.

Much of episode 1 had me crying, everything about it was beautiful. It hit so hard and so well, I hadn't reacted to a drama like this since CLOY or Mr Sunshine. Then the rest of the drama happened. Talk about teasing the audience - I thought I'd found my 2020 sadness puddle (which I looooove), but big fat nope.

can i complain about Yong San the character, not the actor, for a second? He had very few character traits; he…
These guys make all their decisions with their d*cks, let's be honest. Who would hire back a lawyer who missed the biggest flaw in the contract and or who didn't know her own limits and didn't advise them to consult with someone else? Yong San didn't need to consult with Ji Pyoung at all, he'd already spoken to director Yoon, he could've asked the same questions to her. He just wanted to rub it in (and the writer wanted to give him some sort of redemption).

Also, I don't understand how the first thing that In Jae did wasn't to consult with lawyers about those developers stealing the work done at her company. Did they not patent their work? Is it not a trade secret? This was a legal non-event and I can't wrap my head around any of the business aspects of this drama. Add to that the toxic love triangle and all that we're left with is Kim Seon Ho on our screens, aaaaand that's why I'm still watching xD

Maybe it's just me, but I'd swear Sang Sang is eating a pepperoni and cheese pizza near the end of EP 18. Is that…
Pizza Hut is a sponsor, this is ppl like the Franic makeup store. Look at the logo used for Victory Restaurant. They also eat popcorn chicken and French fries, if I remember correctly, in the scene where Sang Sang gets takeout lol

Min Seol A was the one who fell
She's not, I'm willing to bet her husband married her for her money, besides his pride (you'll see in ep 3 what I mean). She's using the poor people as part of her revenge plot.

Is it too late to turn the drama into a tragedy? Perhaps they could all die in a mysterious autonomous vehicle…
They should end this like Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, without the last 2 minutes. This would also be aligned with the Cyrano inspiration

I mean it's nothing overt, but it's very weird, right? I think it doesn't help that they look (and the actors are) much older than the characters they're portraying. The scene where Dan Tae takes the son into his 50 Shades of Grey dungeon, I swear I thought he was going to do some very nasty things to him. But then I remember it's Korean TV and go "phew!"

They've appeared incestuous from the start, I think it adds another ridiculous, over-the-top layer to the makjang that makes it such a hilarious watch. It's even mentioned in episode 9 that their classmates also pick up on the kissing siblings vibe. Ew.

Min Seol A was the one who fell
I almost dropped it where you are now because the bullying was hard to watch, but at 3 and after that, it gets amazing. Watch it like it's a parody, it's so funny, every character is a piece of trash. If you watch it like it's serious, you may continue having a hard time. The revenge plot is fantastic. Soo Ryun is probably the scariest character because she's actually cunning - she teams up with Yoon Hee to exact her revenge upon all the Hera Palace denizens for the murder of Seol Ah (we still don't know who actually pushed her off) and Dan Tae's infidelity. She ends up using Yoon Hee, but she and Bae Ro Na get to reap benefits, too.

I feel, especially with that ending, that this drama was a non-stop troll, a con if you will. We were taken for a very exciting ride, on the surface, but if you dug deep you really didn't know what was going on or why, and even on ep 16 I was asking myself "who the heck is this guy now??"

After a slow build up we started getting sharp turns left and right, heads spinning while enjoying a very sexy and slinky cast do their thing. I don't regret watching it, I love me some Lee Hak Joo and Go Kyung Pyo did sexy in a way I didn't think he had in him, but I certainly still don't have a clue wtf I just watched. But I had fun, so it's all good :D

Hahaha, right? The same goes for the scene when within one or two minutes(?) ML and his friends burst ALL into…
One more thing about that scene, they did that entry to the tune of a swelling, heroic soundtrack, too! If the scene didn't end up being so boring, I definitely would've ended up on the floor rolling in laughter.

The three stooges are perma-embarrassing to watch. Even three years later. And to hear YongSan today so freaking non-chalantly take the blame for the contract getting signed was the cherry on top. I don't think I'd watched a drama before where I felt so much animosity towards the supposed good guys, without there being an anti-hero to balance them out. HJP hasn't been enough of an anti-hero for me yet, but I still have hope (with three episodes remaining LOL)

If I'd fallen off the couch, I think some may have called it swooning? Lmao. Legit wanted to turn the TV off right there and then, had I not been watching it with someone else. Sigh.
