It amazes me how quick people are to play self-righteous as if they have never done anything wrong in their life. Everyone in the comments seems to be jumping on the bandwagon to ruin this man's life, but none of you will apologize or take responsibility if you are wrong about this situation. I think calling him a pedophile or groomer and not having full facts is wrong on all levels. What you have is one-side, and that is her grieving families side. None of you are asking the right questions in this situation, which is very serious.
The first thing you all forgot to consider, was the fact that these same pictures were released by her last year, in an attempt to extort him and she removed them...I don't recall her family coming forward to support her accusations at the time. So question, when she released it herself, WHERE WAS HER FAMILY?!?!?!?! That's right, there were nowhere to be found. The 2nd question, why is her family coming forward now with this, in the aftermath of her death...what exactly are they hoping to accomplish or achieve. It never crossed anyone making bad comments about him, mind is that this is extortion and blackmail. They want a payday, now that their cash cow is gone. I'm sure she was supporting her entire family since her childhood.
The other thing is, the debt she had, if South Korean law is still the same, that $487,000 she borrowed from Gold Medalist transferred to them and they are trying to get out of paying it by instigating a scandal. Money is money and though he is part owner in this company, he cannot just let that kind of money go, he had a duty to collect it back and she agreed to the terms when they leant the money to her, to pay off the debt incurred from having to be written out of Bloodhounds drama on Netflix.
The 3rd thing is, if you are alleging he is a pedophile, where are the rest of his victims. If he has a liking for young underage girls, there will be more of them out there...and as soon as this story dropped, if they wanted to release themselves of any burdens or shame they felt, they'd be pouring out from everywhere. There are no other industry stories of him having inappropriate contact with minors in the industry or outside of it. A pedophile and/or groomer doesn't just have one victim and stop....THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING AND THE LACK OF COMMON SENSE.
What I do know is that South Korean media and it's people love scandal culture and it's starting to spread beyond their walls and into the world. I really hope Kim Soo-hyun comes out of this okay and with the evidence needed to correct all of this. And when it's over, if he is vindicated. I hope he sues her family and the YT Influencers into the dirt...I mean sues them so hard for slander and defamation, that their ancestors feel it.
There legal system sucks, while the court system acknowledged that YAI had psychological issues that contributed to his misuse of illegal substances, they still sentenced this man to prison. What a crappy system, instead of treatment and he was a 1st time offender, they said treatment is prison.
I hope when he is released he immigrates and starts his career in another country and becomes and even bigger success and star. Wow! He is an amazing talent. The hard work and dedication it must have taken for him to learn sign language for this role. He was brilliant. I enjoyed his acting opposite his co-lead. To be able to act an entire drama without saying a word, is beyond astounding. He had to rely on his facial expressions, body language and signing abilities. I hope that he gets other work as a main lead actor, in varying genres of film. He's definitely proven he can carry the role. Casting Directors, Writers, Directors do not pass this talented man by.
I watched the drama "See Your Love," at the recommendation of my drama watching friend. And I was not disappointed. The Casting Director did an excellent job when he or she cast this young and upcoming actor Raiden Lin. It was nice watching him convey or rather bring life to the story/character he was playing in "See Your Love," I believe he has a brilliant future ahead of him. I hope to see him in other works, in varying genres. Please do not typecast this man.
The 1st season was amazing, despite its minor casting challenges, which they Directors & Editors did a great job overcoming. I kind of get the feeling that this will be like Die Hard and Die Hard with a Vengeance (if I can make the comparison). I don't know the storyline but it feels like Rain will play another sinister character, that is there to avenge his fallen brother. I'm willing to be wrong of course. But no matter what the entire cast is hot (let's all admit it...they know they are fine as hell).
Anyways, I'm glad this will be on Netflix...I'm not paying that subscription fee for nothing...lol!
I just watched this movie on the online platform I use to watch all Asian movies and dramas. I have to say I've never been so angry after watching a movie, than I was after watching this one. The pacing was a little bit slow and drawn out, which is good because to me it give you a sense of what the victim felt...his torment was a slow and daily process in his life with no escape. His tormentors followed him through his adolescents (high school), into the military (where they beat and sexually assaulted him), into career life (where his same tormentors found him) and physically /sexually assaulted him, leading him to take his own life.
I mean I can't understand what drives psychopaths like the ones in this movie. But they all deserved exactly what happened to them. I feel sad for the main protagonist and his mother...the rest of them, I hope they are burning in a blazing hot movie hell (you know it's bad when you what movie characters to burn in hell).
The creptic trailer, does not give off romance in any sense of the word. It also gives off some kind of murderous intention. It could be neither...so I will not guess what this is about or why the two have to be in a contractual marriage...for who's benefit is this marriage, when Gong Yoo's character is already in a contractual marriage but ending it to marry someone else. It does leave me wanting more. I'm just glad to see he is back...this man's gaze & voice alone deserve a movie all by themself. ..ugh
And Seo Hyun Jin, she is brilliant....I know she's been in other dramas since "Why Her," which is my all time favorite from her...she deserves all the success. I hope she brings just as much cleverness to this drama. I also hope Netflix releases this in all countries and not just the Asian geo-block.
This is heartbreaking. I know he said it's incurable, but God can do anything. I am rooting for him and his family, that they overcome this challenging time. I hope he is receiving the medical care he needs. I have enjoyed his acting in the dramas I have seen him in, and wish he earned more for his efforts. I will be sincerely wishing him well.
10/01/2024....I originally gave this drama a 10, until they aired ep 9 of this drama. All I can say, is I don't know what comments they read and where, that made them rewrite this episode and any of the rest of until completion...but they flocked it up.
I know fans of Tutor x Yim were awaiting a proper intimacy scene from the...but the script writers, the directors and everyone involved with this flocked it up. I heard they got most of the negative comments on "X" formerly Twitter...I don't know, but what I do know is, they obviously took into consideration the wrong comments. I was so disappointed with this entire episode and mostly because of the NC scenes. But it's done now, so hopefully fans will stop bothering them about it...because this was nothing more than an insult.
I'm really upset! I don't know why I'm taking it personal but I just don't have the words to convey what a dismal mistake it was to have messed with the script this late into the airing....ugh!

It's okay to make changes in the direction of your career, I'm not saying that James cannot do that, however, what I am saying is that he seemed to have did whatever he felt like in breaking his contractual pairing with Net and that left everyone at DMD scrabbling and they had to do damage control to clean up his actions. If it was a decision they made for James x Net to separate, so that James could focus more on his musical aspirations, then a planned execution of this would have happened...just like how they prepared for a long while and NuNew started doing his music. There would have been a clearer plan...but it seemed he did this without or against the advisement of DMD, and it placed everyone in a tough spot.
Net got the short end of the stick, possibly thinking there was nothing wrong and even if he was aware of James' feelings, he might have felt like James would at least tough it out for the sake of them both, until he could have the opportunity to do what he most desired or was promised contractually I'm sure he'd be able to do through DMD, but they kept putting it off behind the scenes in the management office, and so he forced there hands...which left Net hurt. Because when they announced Net's new partner, they even did a company wide PSA behind it, to get old James x Net fans to accept and get onboard with Net's partner by showing everyone at DMD, with the exception of James in the video supporting the pairing...j/s, if James is supportive of Net and there was no issue between them, then James should have been in the video wishing Net and his new partner well in their future work.
I don't know...I think DMD rushed Net's pairing with someone else, because he's been out on promotions events with his new partner and the vibe and chemistry isn't there...he doesn't seem really excited about this new partner. I think perhaps they should have given Net some time...just like how they had to give Zee some time after the issue with Saint. We all know that Zee loved Saint, and as more than an acting friend...so it took some time, and when NuNew came, it still took time to unthaw him...but it worked out surprisingly that NuNew liked him authentically. I think that is what Net might need...you can't force a partner on him ...I just hope it works out for Net, he deserves better.

But when a drama is not made for you, then this is what you get. I do agree with you about Yoo Ah In...he did not deserve the punishment he received for something that hurt no one but himself. He deserved compassion and drug treatment. That said, SK people are fickle and have a herb mentality, they operate without common sense at times, and for the life of me, for such a developed country, I don't know why the laws of their country have not adapted to current changes in society.
Kim Sung Cheol is a brilliant actor and I have no doubt he will do the role justice. I've enjoyed watching him in many of the dramas that he has been in. So I hope this drama will be worth the 3 years wait.
I am looking very much forward to this drama. I loved Stranger 1 and 2, and he played a character that I loved to hate. He is a brilliant actor, so this drama should be quite interesting. Will he keep to his disgusting ways or has he reformed after nearly dying in the last season of Stranger 2.
I would be remiss if I said I would not like to have a Season 3 of Stranger...I mean it was an oddly enjoyable drama. But again, I am looking forward to this drama with anticipation.
I had heard that this week's episode was cancelled for a re-write and I was wondering if I would find some news as to why at this late point in the drama, is it being re-written and is it only ep 9 that is being re-written. I saw that James makes an appearance in the next episode, is that possibly why they are re-writing the episodes to the end, to add him and give his character significance after the stunt he pulled (yes, I say stunt...and then it didn't workout the way he wanted...don't fight me, it's just my best guess).

I however, like the drama, it's a lot better than Middleman's Love, not that drama sucked and I watched 3 episodes and then dropped it. This drama is a vast improvement. I still think Tutor and Yim deserve better, in terms of the scripts they are getting, the Directors that work on the project, location/setting, supporting cast surrounding them, etc....so I hope the more true adoring fans of theirs speak up on these and other platforms, advocating for them, then the more DMD will want to do better by them.

There is a lot going on in SK right now. But heck there is a lot going on everywhere. I have been recently watching Queen Woo, and I thought it was going to be cancelled because people in SK do not like the explicit sexual scenes in the drama and they were blaming Western influence for the Directors having such scenes in the drama. That is a whole mess of a disagreement under that posting, but I love art and know when somethings are uncalled for in dramas.

I think it's the same. Just as a point of reference, White people in America are the only nationality, that doesn't say or define themselves as European -American, Portuguese -American, etc...they act as though they are indigenous to America, while everyone else is not...i e., African American, Hispanic American, when our ancestors have been her le the same length of time as theirs so we should just be American...but that's a story for another day. But to be fair, we got a lot of our customs, practices and beliefs from our original origins...we (I mean our ancestors) just adapted the formula to the new location.
