Yes you could have sent me a private message, but would it have been any different than the tone go with you originally spoke in. I also wonder what it is about my original statement that made you believe that I was some sort of expert on South Korean military system or construct? Because my comment does not imply that I am. I simply read the article and stated something that seems sensible, he's provided a military medical exemption, then why insist on re-examination in order to qualify for active soldier. Take the exemption and go about his life. Now culturally, I'm not an expert there either and I don't know if you are and I wouldn't even call it into question. But what I spoke to that may appear that I have cultural knowledge, is simply from being a observer of many YouTube documentaries published on this very subject and Korean males speaking on the fact that nobody that's an able-bodied man wants to serve and the measures and links for which they utilize in order to delay service or get out of military service. So I think what you should know about me is I have the ability to read, and search out information just like anyone that would like some knowledge on the subject.

I'm very surprised Lucy L... Considering you have befriended me and you seem to be at odds with my comment on this particular post. Which I don't really appreciate you having such vitriol for me, just because I happen to have an opinion that may differ from yours. If that's a problem, please unfriend me because I don't like confusion or impolite people, especially since you yourself say under your own profile that you don't like people that bully others in comments. And it seems that may perhaps not be true seeing as how you talk to lash out at me....Thanks.

Ok Taec Yeon renounced his American citizenship because he wanted to serve in the Korean army. It's part of their…
I think for him at the time that he renounced his American citizenship to fulfill military duty, he might have been facing some backlash if he decided not to enlist or give up his American citizenship, given the fact that he has been in South Korea earning a living at the time. But Kpop generations have changed, so those that whole citizenship from other countries, won't face the same type of backlash ergo Vernon and Joshua of the K-Pop group SVT, Bang Chan of Stray Kids or a better example would be Felix if Stray Kids, he's more similar I believe to Taec Yeon, in this regard.

Nevertheless, I understand it's something they all must do if they are South Korean citizens or in a position whereby they want to become a citizen and are of age to fulfill military duties, but if you have a medical exemption, take it and move on with life...why force the issue.
lo_ve Jul 17, 2025
Honestly, if they told me I failed or didn't qualify for medical reasons, I'd take that and run. Why they feel like they will be considered less than or looked down on, if they can't serve in the military, is beyond me. You have a medical exemption be happy. To my understanding there are really no South Korean males that won't to enlist...he and others like him are only doing it, so they aren't left out. If he doesn't go and continues to work around other males who e had the experience, that alienates him and others who can't serve.

If medically he can't serve as an active duty soldier, I'm sure they give them the option of Public Service Worker to fulfill their duties to their country. If he so keen on fulfilling his civic duties, then why not exercise that as an option. There's no shame in it. Ugh, why am I getting upset? Oh well, I wish him the best at getting what he wants from this.

Oh this looks very lush! I expect some very high quality acting in this drama, the cast is nice...so focusing shouldn't be difficult. I hope the storyline has been well developed and any plot holes tightened up, so there's no rushed ending. I also hope the soundtrack works well and there isn't the same song on repeat or melody on repeat, I'll be glad when Korean dramas realize that's a bit tedious, even for a period piece.

Anyways, look forward to some great intense moments and some wonderful cinematography too. Best of luck to the cast x production for high ratings.

So it's 2025, and I just rewatched Blueming and I'm wondering why this man has t been cast in another drama or movie since doing this work. He was really great in this series. Casting directors please wake up and cast this gem. I really want to see him in more projects. If you come across this message, this fan is rooting for you.

I found myself re-watching Blueming, and I'm wondering why this man hasn't been cast in anything since. If he's been auditioning, there is seriously something wrong with the casting directors, because he's a bright talent and he's very good looking. I hope to see him in another drama soon, and it doesn't have to be a BL.

That's is not to be trusted...she is the one who's gonna drink Tong dry, the 1st chance she gets. She had his blood drawn to test out on herself, because she's week and dying. She wants to make sure it won't kill her. Something tells me, she kill Tong's mother and then took him to the orphanage. Just like she showed up out of nowhere and turned Mark into a vampire...she wants Mark by her side for all eternity. This series has a lot of parts in it that resemble other dramas I've already seen.

Anyways, Nakan is right in a way about the Trojan horse, and in the modern world, it's going to be Thara....that's my guess. Both sides are building an Army, while Tong and Mark are lost in each other. Glad they were able to finally be together and Mark didn't go all crazy...it was sweet. Can't wait to see the rest of this series, easily a series that will go on the rewatch list.

You can be neutral and wait for his side story instead of supporting him. Whether it's true or not, it doesn't…
So 6 days have past, and I believe he has provided proof to refute the story her family and this YT influencer, whose objective it is to make a lot of money have put out there. When you provide tax records and statements, signed agreements that she willingly accepted and refuted any claims of an underage relationship with her...what more do you need to be satisfied. Her family and others joining in to hurt him is not right and I think you know that. Given your username, I can take it that you are a support of BTS and as a fellow Army, you should know not to support people that falsely accuse someone...you've seen it with the way the did our Suga. I hate to use it as a reference, but I felt that perhaps a reminder would make you see some wisdom. We can both agree that her family is in pain right now, but they don't have any proof for the allegations they are making. And again, if it were true...why did they not speak up about it when it was happening? They didn't because it's false.

Would you be okay supporting people mobbing this man and dragging him to his literally death. We have seen these situations take a turn for the worse. At the least, you could say you don't advocate or support people harassing him over something that even South Korean law has deemed not a crime. At the very least you could be supportive that no suicide letter has been provided by her family naming Kim Soo-hyun as a contributor or primary reason for her death. At the very least you should advocate for more objective/fact-based evidence and not just subjective/personal feelings or assumptions and speculations.

Except those sources, how do you expect to know the whole truth from? Dispatch and other investigations are the…
So you advocate that a person has the right to call you whatever they want without proof. I wish I could see that happen to you, and then see how well you bear it. I don't think you could stand up to the weight of it all...with people mobbing and attacking you for something that you continue to say and provide as much proof as possible is not true. You should study the legal system, because there are people convicted by public opinion and a jury of their peers and they were innocent all the time. But in the aftermath, who takes responsibility for being on the wrong side of things, right, no one. You want be there to give all of the money back to Kim Soo-hyun for participating in ruining his hard fought for career. You won't be responsible if you drive him to take his own life...no you will blend in with everyone else, reversing your opinion and fake mourning for him.

He did not cost her her life, she took her life on her own and you don't know the reason. Unless you've got a letter or something that specifically says from her she is taking her life because of Kim Soo-hyun? That doesn't exist, so what you have is nothing, just like her family. I'm sorry that it hurts for you...but use some common sense.

Well looks we got another supporter of himI hope he doesn't come out of this and his whole career gets destroyedbecause…
She was responsible for the debt she owed to Netflix, for property damage associated with a DWI/DUI incident she created, so no one was responsible for coming to her rescue. If anyone should have come to her rescue it should have been the family that used and spent all of the money she earned from childhood until she put a period at the end of her own life. Kim Soo-hyun is not responsible for this woman's life. That's where you seem to be confused. The way you talk, everyone you ever dated and broke off with, should be held accountable for your failures and bad decisions. Grow up! No one was responsible for her, except her...if she could not handle life, she should have gotten counseling...where was her loving family at to ensure that...nowhere to be found, they couldn't be bothered. If that makes you upset and you want to lash out at Kim Soo-hyun, then you need to get some help for whatever hurt you're dealing with.

You don’t seem to realize that you are making a lot of assumptions and allegations yourself while accusing others…
She didn't take her life because of him. Where has it been said that she left behind a message that said I am killing myself because Kim Soo Hyun dated and abused me when I was a minor and he will not support me, after a relationship with him, he will not give me nearly $500,000 for a drunk driving incident I created and caused all on my own. Until you have it that to present...then her death is on her and her family.
