Sounds like an interesting storyline...I like An Bo-hyun for the lead male...but who would make a good female lead for him. Whoever they chose, I hope she isn't too young and goes with the visual of seeing the future or having visions of it...perhaps: Im Jin-A aka Nana (gorgeous and she'd be perfect), Moon Ga-young or Han So-hee (she's brilliant...her role in My Name). Anyways, just who'd I'd see as strong actresses and would visually work next to him.
Exactly... this system is quite inhumane, especially since rich sons from Chaebols and influential politicians…
I believe you have taken some of what I've said out of context. The Unites States being involved in war in other countries was not something I had intention to address. The topic is South Korea military, the actor and his having to ask for permission to travel outside of his country of birth, simply because he has not fulfilled the countries military requirements. That should be deemed a human rights violation. He is almost 30 years old and does not have the freedom to travel when he wants to, because he has not served in the countries military. This should bother him and others in his country. So that is not about the United States and war campaigns we participate in...wars might I add, not started by the United States (war we engage, due to treaties established I am sure long before you or I existed and to an extent more than the reasons published for citizen consumption).
I understand that South Korea and North Korea are at continuous conflict, but that is their issue...an issue caused by them. One that no one can settle but them. One side holding everyone hostage, the U.S for being a friend and allie to the South...would if we could, I'm sure we wouldn't even be involved but if you research history, it was North Korea attack of their cousins to the south with the help of China and Russia after WWII that ushered in the Korean War...since Japan, no longer had control of the Korea. At some point the Chinese that fought with US forces against Japan, shifted their allegiances to align with Russia and North Korea against South Korea. It's not a war that the U.S wanted to be involved in, but with the request of South Korea, to protect themselves against the communist North Koreans and Russians, America assisted. A lot of people might frown on this, and would if the war between both sides could be ended, but it seems it will never happen as long as North Korea's leader and family reign...because he believes he is a King or Emperor and has lead as though his family is entitled to divine rule. This and only this is the only reason he threatens nuclear war to all of those around him...whining like the worst toddler. There will be no unity if Kim Un Jong and his family cannot rule like it's the Shilla, Joseon, etc. dynasty.
Is the United States under threat, yes all the time. have we been attacked on our sole since Pearl Harbor, yes 09/11/2001, which saw the twin towers attacked and thousands of people lose their lives. Was that fair, of course not...we are not exempt to be attacked. But, I will say this, America never engages in a war, unless provoked and we don't join one unless absolutely necessary. We have military installations around the world, I would like to think, in order to try an keep or help our allies keep peace...no one likes fighting or sending their sons and daughters off to die. War wouldn't happen, if not for the power behind the powers behind the powers being greedy. Man's greedy to oppress and dominate everyone, is the only and sole reasons we need military...I hope we can agree to that.
I digress, again if South Korean men do not wish to be under the conscription system they have...then they are the only ones that can solve it.
I watched him in his new drama on Netflix House of Ninjas...not really what I expected of the drama...I mean it's very lackluster and Japanese in tone, if you understand what I'm trying to say. The excitement and thrill is underwhelming for it to be about figures that slink/stalk through the night and kill. This is more of a psychological cat and mouse game...and the why isn't really flushed out...is it over a dead brother Gaku or the crazy cult ninja family that was supposed to have been annihilated...but wasn't because Haru couldn't kill the person from the Fume clan...anyways, the build up wasn't there for me...it's to sleep and slow paced.
Wow he signed with a new agency...what are they doing for him. I need them to step their game up...this man is to beautiful to be sidelined. He needs to be appearing in more dramas and films...his fans want to see him New Way. If you couldn't represent him well, you shouldn't have signed him...so come on...if you can't do it, release him from his deal and get him signed to a better agency!!!
Exactly... this system is quite inhumane, especially since rich sons from Chaebols and influential politicians…
Again, who is permitted to avoid and who isn't, while is an issue, it's not the greater issue. If those without money see that as a major issue, the. They need to band together and outcry until it's so globally embarrassing to them as a country until those they elected must overhaul the laws.
In the U.S. prior to and after Vietnam 18 year olds couldn't vote, but they could be forcibly drafted and sent off to die in wars. It wasn't until the youth saw the gravity of this that they protested in mass and sometimes it was violent, but they did until the law was overturned, and the voting age changed to 18 years old instead of 21, and drafting ended. Now the military is a voluntary system, in which the volunteer gains benefits the person deems beneficial e.g. college tuition, preferential treatment in civilian job selection (hiring), spouses get preferential hiring over others, housing loans, no taxes and most things for life, and their children also benefit from them having served their country.
Yes, I think it's discriminatory that women aren't openly welcomed in South Korea's military, but there are women among them that serve...I believe for them it's voluntary, they want to join and that's great. I'm not sure if the environment is truly welcoming, I mean history has shown how deplorable it has been for men over the years, I mean the Netflix series D.P. 1 and 2 does a brilliant job of highlighting this. And all military's are challenged with these same environments of abuse among personnel...but anyways, all I want to say is until South Korean men and women ban together to change the system they all know is unfair, then it'll continue.
Everyone is crying about women in South Korea should have to enlist and serve in the military...I think it should be a voluntary system, but the reason it's not is because the government knows not one able bodied male would volunteer to seek a career in the military. And parents would be against it, as it's not profitable. That aside, the fact that men ages 25 - 30 years who have not fulfilled their military obligations, have to request permission to leave the country...why, because the government feels this is the time they would flee and never return. They have to basically hold them hostage. This is what people overlook, looking at the stupid stuff they chose to comment on....like he must be dating his co-start the reason he wants to go on the reward vacation, etc...
I honestly feel sorry for these men...but this won't stop until they all band together and stop thinking of the stupid reasons to keep forced conscription around e.g., jealousy, if I had to serve so must ever male. Instead of them all saying enough is enough, and finding a better way to protect themselves against their cousins to the North and any other country that might be a threat.
I simply adore him...he is such a talented person. I am enjoying his current drama Love Song of Illusion. I am looking forward all of his future works.
Where oh where has part 3 of We Best Love gone...I don't know, but whatever happened to it...the producers need to work harder to bring the two main leads back together. They had amazing chemistry and it showed well on screen. I don't know about anything else but I believe fans (overzealous fans) ruined everyone ability to see a part 3 because they kept implying the two had an off-screen love or relationship, and it possibly interfered with their real off-screen lives and relationships...and if that's the case, it's unfortunate and I do hope they are able to overcome it and work together again. That said, I hope Sam has even greater successes with his music and acting.
I haven't seen Yu in anything since We Best Love series. I see he has other roles to his credit and I will make time to check them out, but honestly it would be nice to see him in a leading role again...in a really nicely written, produced and directed drama or movie. He is a worthy actor. I don't know what his agency is doing to support him but they should work harder for him and support him in all areas, so fans that love an adore him, have more chances to see him in many areas.
Found him via the drama Takara-kun & Amagi-kun, simply adored the character he played. I see that he has other work to his credit, so I will check them out. I hope that he will have more abilities to showcase his talents and that he will put out more works with other great actors.
Brilliant actor...his list of credits should be longer than it is...I don't know what his agency is doing but they need to really be finding great scripts for him and fighting for him to have the chance to be no only on television dramas but the big screen. I hope for him to have more successes and soon.
I love Max...and it's probably gonna make me hated by many for saying this, but I think he would do well leading a drama with his love interest is a woman. I'd love to see that happen...he seems to have this burning passion that works with Nat to a degree but he could go further if given the chance to showcase his abilities in other genres of drama and movie.
I adore Nat...but for the love of drama gawds everywhere can we not have this man cry ever again in a drama...because it's not appealing at all....otherwise, Domindi needs to step it up and show Nat in more leading roles.

Tutor is a good actor, I believe he has range...if only he would be supported with a well-written, directed and produced drama, where he has the opportunity to shine. I believe he can do exceedingly more that play a supporting role and has it in him to pay characters that are in all genres of film. I look forward to seeing Tutor expand his abilities with actors beyond Domindi.
For his 1st drama Frame did an amazing job. I have to say this man has beautiful eyes...his gaze goes right through you. Anyways, I hope to see him in more dramas...well written, directed, and produced dramas. It's clear he's a main lead! I hope he gets the opportunity to act in not only BL dramas but a variety of dramas.
I recently found this actor following another to the drama For Him. I'm impressed, visually he is stunning and surprisingly he does well in the drama I am watching. I think with a bit more work, he could sincerely lead or support a nicely written drama, no matter what the genre.
I enjoyed his drama Twins, which led me to the drama For Him. I was impressed with his acting in Twins and believe he has the ability to lead a well written, directed and produced drama, no matter the genre. I look forward to seeing him increase his body of work. Wishing him many collaborative successes with other good actors and actresses.
jesus christ, for the international fans constantly harping and blaming korean culture, read the fucking room.…
I know you fxxkin' lying. This wasn't an International fan issue...this was a homegrown South Korean issue...so stop trying to deflect. It's always jerks like you that can't take your own advice and read the room. Just by your comment, I know you are of Korean origins...take a long look in the mirror...no one in the international community would even about this, if it weren't for South Korean media and people dragging this man literally to his death. So before you start blaming and trying to pull international people into this...go have a conversation with the folks you need to have the conversation with the Korean press/media, the Korean law enforcement and the Korean citizens...go fight with the wall if no others...
Can't wait to see this webtoon come to life.
