I'm also thankful with the ending that was given in this drama
++++++2 , me too!!! It is a happy ending, and I couldn't ask for anything more. They even give all the other side characters a happy ending without unnecessary deaths.
I'm also glad that the Snake Demon and his lover along with YH shixiong is Alive in the drama!!
8.5 is fine for me. See a lot of bad drama recently LOL
8.5 is not bad. I just don't understand those dramas where it's actually not that great but gets a very high rating so thats why for me personally I wish that BFTB will be higher than 8.5 in here since in my heart it deserves a higher rating.
But then I just keep telling myself to not be so popular can be a blessing in disguise. If there's unwanted attention like toxics or haters I don't want them to target on something I really love.
I saw one comment in the Divine Destiny page where they said that drama is better than BFTB that, that person can't get into BFTB but got hook into Divine Destiny....
Honestly I was so tempted to reply to that comment in there but in the end I didn't...
It really goes to show that everyone have different tastes and preference.
All I will say is, I will do my best to recommend it to people online but in the end if you don't watch it or couldn't get into it than you're missing out and it's your loss IMO π
To me this drama is a solid 10/10 because the journey was worth it.. I just wish that in MDL it got a higher score than 8.5, but I guess... Sometimes not being too popular can be a blessing in disguise... To protect them from unwanted attention

You shouldn't be watching it at 2x speed because you will miss a lot of important details and that's when you won't understand the story since you fast forward it.
It does get a lot better afterwards after they got the development. What happened in episode 16 was a necessity for the developments to go down that path to have the ML get the development in his own way and that we get to see him chase after YH to earn back her forgiveness.
Tian Yao (ML) really does love YH and his love for her is unconditional and selfless which will be revealed to you later without us having to give you spoilers.
I personally love what Tian Yao showed me during this time though, it all adds to the plot point in the drama to build on their relationship where they came out afterwards with equal love, sacrifice and developments.

He translated the quote from the script he was supposed to say but that surprised ZY cuz she was like "???" At it. She also mentioned that in an interview one time that he said it so randomly lol.
