But why are people bashing him all of a sudden? Like I've read the post but out of no where they just target him?

And just like HMH defends and speaks up for TianYao, I feel the same as him too because Tian Yao is such a loveable character in my eyes!! I'm sure there are many who loves the character.

Those who targets his character are probably the same old (paid haters or fans trying to bring down the popular character to boost the character rating of their own favourite character that is airing 😒😒).

I am seeing some haters in here too so I can't say I love MDL in here too but unlike some of them who wants to spread negativity , I want to do the opposite and spread the love to this drama and CP!

It does for me too. I cried so much that my eyes hurt. But it's in a good way and I don't regret watching that episode. It left an emotional impact followed by a touching scene later. I definitely wont forget that episode too.

So those who said the last 10 episodes is bad will never make sense to me!

Yeah those comments doesn't make sense when they gave their "review", because I felt like they just comment for the sake of spreading negativity and false and misleading information. When they asked questions that said it is not explained that lead to plot holes already shows me they didn't watch the drama properly... Because those "plot holes" was explained by the end!!

And also, TianHui was praised by many fans where they have an amazing and natural chemistry that goes well together...

I get that if you don't like a pairing but to say they don't have chemistry just because they don't to you is just subjective that shows you don't like the pairing for whatever reason I will never understand.

TianHui love for each other and their story journey from the beginning to the end along with their developments and how YanHui came to open her heart to love TianYao again after what happened was really touching to me . I couldn't have asked for anything more! They are the epitome of true and unconditional love in my eyes!

The way they love and sacrifice for each other really touched many fans... And I wish that we have those type of Xianxia where it shows them as EQUAL love and sacrifice the way TianHui is portrayed!

BFTB break all Xianxia clichés and codes and make it into something beautiful, this is why I will always love it!!

In my heart TianHui is my no.1 favourite Xianxia CP.

I will definitely come back to watch it again and well now I'm reading the novel.

I know there are others dramas airing and I've tried to watched it to be honest but in 2023, not much drama I definitely said it's great or got me hooked in the same way Back from the Brink does. Another drama that got me into it from the first episode is Hidden Love so these two definitely have a top place in my heart. I don't know but the other dramas airing just doesn't have that same emotional connection or pull that draws me in. Even if I may like it but I don't love it to the same extent as BFTB and Hidden Love...

This is why I don't understand anyone for saying there's plot holes
because it is explained afterwards. They just need to be patient. The fact that this person updated and said completed the drama and still asked the question that was explained really shows me he or she didn't watch this drama properly.

I remember back in those days when BFTB was airing there was those who asked those questions, but then when we answered it after watching the episode, those people made a comment saying "I can see it now, this drama really does take the audience questions to heart and explain it later in the story".

So I don't understand people asking something that has already been answered. I also like to pay attention to a drama when I really love it and sometimes on my second watch I can pick up on these little details that I might have missed on my first watch.

Yeah chemistry is subjective since not all feel the same thing.

It isn't only in MDL but in the Chinese fandom, alot of fans love the HouYe(HMH and ZY) chemistry as well, even in the live stream the actor Riley who plays BXS said that when they are together on set they have that natural chemistry that clicks, and judging by this CP photoshoot https://youtube.com/shorts/W2e9RPVBT0A?feature=share3 there are fans on set that likes their chemistry. Objectively I also say they have amazing chemistry so people who argues they don't will never make sense to me.

Yup! The point that Tianhui doesn't have so many kisses or those very romantic scenes yet we can still fall in love with them because of their chemistry from the forehead touch, their hugs, holding hands and calling each other names just shows they have chemistry! Oh and the nuptial agreement is the most touching ones I've seen and read so that is a highlight to show how much Tian Yao love Yan Hui!

Same here!!! For this year the two drama CP that made me love the leads chemistry is definitely BFTB and Hidden Love!

I mean I tried to watch Here we meet again (on hold), Snow Eagle (on hold), Divine Destiny (dropped) so not many drama can make me get into it the way BFTB and Hidden Love can!

For those of you in here who said that ZY and HMH doesn't have chemistry, I strongly disagree with you, because to me they have chemistry both on and offscreen that when you see them together it's gives that natural feel that they really go well together. This isn't just me who is saying it but fans from China as well as the other casts and people on set have said it as well.

Also, another point I want to make is that the last 10 episodes is NOT bad, if you really think so than that's your loss for not knowing how to appreciate it, I for one will always remember episode 31 and how emotionally impactful it made me feel that night after watching episode 31 and the baby dragon arc is one of the best thing in this drama. I am speaking in a pov where at first I was skeptical and not sure how it will play out but in the end I love the baby dragon arc because HMH acting really played it very well and made it so natural and convincing that pulled it off for all those who came to love it, so that FYI is top acting... also the final battle was done in a way that is poetic that I really love with the whole Yin and Yang concept. For those who is confused with the ending can go and read the ending explanation thread in here.

If you don't like Back from the Brink than just move on from it. Watch other dramas that you think is "good acting" and has a "good story"...

I mean there's a lot dropping left and right here... Surely you can go find yourself a "good" drama 🙄

I don't mind that we have different preferences since we don't all like the same things but to comment just to spread hate in something you don't enjoy just to mislead people from your personal biasness for whatever the reasons makes you feel illogical to the point that I felt like are we watching the same drama here?!

Also this isn't my first time seeing ZY because I've seen her in WOH before but IMO, ZY played her role as Yan Hui very well and I love her character here more (even when I also love her character in WOH too).

I hope people can get into this drama without biasness because for me I got into this drama without expecting anything after TTEOTM, but in the end I fell in love with this drama and will surely recommend this to people and hope to spread more positivity and NOT hate!

True I can never understand people saying bad acting from the leads imo because both main leads not only have chemistry but their portrayal in the characters brought the character to life!!

Ohhh I know what you mean. I felt the same too! I really hate BXS during those times he deliberately hurt the ML I even said I can never like him again after all that but he will get his developments and then when that time comes and at the end he is back to the character I like.

For BXS I felt like he's someone where I have to pick the scenes and judge whether I like him or not.

That's one of the things I love about it. It will always remind you that he is a dragon. And I love his dragon form too

I don't like the ML for being a dishonest person and lying about his identity... It's very off-putting. I only got into this because of Wang Zhuo Cheng.

I don't know if I will continue, I guess I will watch a few episodes to see for my self. The fact this is aired by IQIYI is kinda offputting for me too, but like I said I only got into this for Wang Zhuo Cheng...

To answer your question.

When I became a RPS where I ship two people IRL as well I can't watch them being paired away from each other even if it's just a drama(I will still respect their works in the dramas though but I can't watch the drama of seeing my favourite CP being paired away from each other), thats how I am when it's a RPS. Since it's the only one for me. I am like that for all my other RL CP that I've ship as well not just HMH and ZY

In reply to your second question, it's only for HMH and ZY that I am a RPS, for Hidden Love ZLS and CZY, I like them on-screen as a pair but I am not a RPS for them outside the drama (not yet anyways), so I can still watch their other dramas because I'm not a RPS.

But that doesn't mean I love HMH and ZY any less for not watching their other dramas but I came to love them personally as a CP on my end too.

If HMH and ZY film another drama together as a CP I will be among the first in line to support and watch it. And I hope they will collaborate again as a CP. Since I've come to love them very much.
