That needed to happen for writing perspective... If TY would have explained it to her, and knowing how YH is reasonable, she wouldn't have misunderstood him, and we wouldn't have gotten the developments that we came to love later (e.g. Tian Yao chasing after YH and earning back her forgiveness), so this makes sense...
Honestly, if people came to like the developments later, and how TY chase after YH (to show it's his turn to chase after this relationship) in conveying his love for her, then can people not understand why it needed to happen like that in writing perspective...
If no misunderstanding, then we wouldn't have gotten the later development arc and how it played out in the drama afterwards that we all came to love in terms of character & pairing developments.

Seeing HMH and ZY videos and their interactions outside BFTB, how close and comfortable they are with each other is my daily dose of happiness at this stage.
Is it just me or some of you also do not get used to seeing MH and ZY paired with different actors in other projects…
Seeing how I've come to really love HMH and ZY(and I ship them IRL too, but low-key about it) I don't think I can watch them being intimate or pair away with someone else in another drama.
For me, it only happens if I ship them IRL as well, this is how I feel towards other pair I ship too.

BXS also said that he was going to cut off the communication channel which prevents FY and CL from communicating with each other afterwards so this already implies that they communicate regularly to share their sources with each other.
When Ying Huo(the butterfly/moth) said what she said as she was walking towards the fainted TY, her tone when she said it felt like she got this source from CL since she did said she was ordered by CL to capture TY on her end. So there might be a possibility that CL was the one who told her about it(if you really want the answer to how she know). But that's just my guess to answer your question there.

FY knew about the Nine Stars since he went into YH mind eye before he placed the dark flower on her, that's why he made that comment saying that "The dragon king really did love YH" because TY gave YH something so valuable on his end, and FY knew about it the moment he went into her mind eye. Him placing the dark flower on YH was so that he could control her to kill TY(but YH didn't want to be under FY control that's why she wanted to get back her freedom by learning the Ghost Eulogy).

Because when the black flower is destroyed, YH will be freed from FY control but that also would mean she would die from it.
The reason TY was dying was because he gave YH his Nine Stars, where he exchanged his life for her to give her another chance to live like a normal human without relying on the use of HPS to preserve her life. So if YH life is in danger and she's going to die from it (like what happened when the black flower was destroyed), the one who will die in her place is TY. That was the life exchange spell that he placed on YH when she was asleep by giving her his Nine Stars. To exchange his life for her
To save TY is to ensure YH life is saved, if she really "dies" than TY will die in her place instead. That's why when BXS put the HPS back into YH, it stopped the Life exchange spell from accomplishing it's job because YH life is saved in the end.
FYI, TY knows that if he give her his HPS it will also save him as well but because YH have been telling him all this time that she wanted to live a carefree life away from all the danger, TY was willing to take HPS with him (to his death) if it means that YH will not be a target to those unwanted attention that wants to get their hands on HPS so from TY side he wanted to fulfill her wish even if it means it comes at the expense of him giving up his own life to ensure she survives in the end.
Neo really nailed it. TY is a character who doesn't speak his mind a lot. So the only way to convey his feelings…
Exactly that's why I appreciate Hou Ming Hao (Neo) in playing TY because he really nailed it through his facial expressions when he is playing those scenes!

Episode 17-21 is hard to go through because of YH fear of TY. And we don't enjoy the whole "date" BXS has with YH too. That scene in episode 20 made up for the entirety of that episode for us because it was indeed hilarious cuz he made a fool of himself in front of YH lol 😂😂😂
For BXS character, I didn't like what he did specifically later (when you watch on you will know), so for me I am not fond of BXS in episode 22 and 23 to the point I want to punch him. I won't spoil the details for you so you can see when you watch on.
He will eventually get his redemption for most of us later. But during these times we don't like him for valid reasons.

As for TY not telling her when he took back the HPS.. honestly like I said yesterday in another comment section, in writing perspective that makes sense because the writers wanted to go down this path of misunderstanding for them to build on the characters respectively and them as a pairing where they can come out at the end of the developments showing us they are EQUAL.
Before all this we saw YH chasing after TY, but this time, because of what happened and how YH is afraid of TY for valid reasons it is TY turn to show YH and chase after her to earn back her forgiveness.
YH is not an unreasonable person and if TY explained what happened before he took the HPS and he told her that he have every intention to come back to save her afterwards by giving back the HPS to her than YH would NOT have misunderstood TY for not valuing her life on her end. Then we wouldn't have gotten these developments that we all(most of us who finished the drama) came to love. So for me, TY not telling YH and YH misunderstood TY for not valuing her life and her being afraid of TY at first was done in a reasonable way that makes it believable and I love what TY shows me during these times on how much he puts in for YH makes me love him more and I love it because of the developments they got during these times it makes the pairing portrayed to be EQUAL love and sacrifice IMO.
So for writing perspective I don't hate TY for not telling her when he took back the HPS because I understood that it needed to happen like that to build on their developments now.
So yeah you will get all these explained once you see those scenes when that time comes

This drama is a gem and for those who dropped it early on really miss out imo.
