To be honest for me, this misunderstanding have rewarded me great developments in terms of pairing and character development so I don't mind they used this misunderstanding to build on their developments.
I don't want to spoil the details for you, you will have to wait and see for yourself.
I will just say that for my take on this direction by the writers if it was handled poorly I wouldn't like it or be speaking up for it now but because the writers handled their developments well in a reasonable way, I don't mind how it was during these times because the built up to their developments made them stronger in terms of characters and as a pairing at the end of this whole process.
Oh no, I'm approaching the infamous episodes 17 to 21. Is it really bad? Does she hate him? Are they separated…

To her, when TY took back the HPS, she misunderstood and thought that he didn't value her life, when we know that's not the case but YH doesn't know that on her end
Honestly I felt sorry for TY during these times when he's being misunderstood but from YJ perspectives I didn't blame her since she didn't know the whole truth. I like what she's shown me because of this I get to see TY chasing after her and earning back her forgiveness.
And after that we get to see how strong their love and bond and trust is for each other when the misunderstanding she have for him is completely cleared up. I love during these moments it shows me just how much TY loves YH because he really shows it in a very sincere way which makes me love him even more for it.

Same with me. I love the drama version of YH and TY as well.
In the novel I felt like YH can be a bit blunt at times where she ended up hurting TY with what she says.
Well I'm up to chapter 44 on my end I guess I will continue to see what it's like.
Another thing I know I love the drama better is I keep going back to the drama and while I am reading I always get distracted by either watching BFTB again or visit MDL here so I know I am not as absorbed as I am when it comes to the drama version even when I do like the novel too.

I am also reading the novel to Hu Xin as well but for me I still say I love the characterization in the drama BFTB better. But that's how I feel since I fell in love with both characters from the beginning but in the novel I find myself sometime feel sorry for Novel TianYao for the chapters I'm reading at this stage.

What HMH said at the beginning when he is talking about his character Tian Yao.

Then skipping forward to when the question was asked if you get to have an ability, what would you want it to be?
ZY said "to be able to fly"
HMH said "You will choose to fly? Then I will not allow that person to fly"
Omg HMH lol, the interviewer was saying he made that "###" sound again, which HMH said before in another interview that he rarely make that "###" sound on his end but there's a possibility he would when he see his beloved car.
Then the interviewer said that when he made that "###" sound in this interview (after he said to ZY that his ability is to counter her ability to fly) his love for his car has now become his love for a person(in this case ZY since he made that same ### sound at her lol). As expected of someone who is a Leo as a star sign lol.
I felt like he said that "then I won't let that person fly" was his way of teasing her to get ZY reaction when she heard him say it lol.
Seriously... I love these two on my end... Hope they will have another drama together and many positivity for these two, I support them on my end.
