I see, I see, glad we are on the same page about that, and yup, and in the novel, it was also pointed out in his monologue that the sword stab does not hurt, but her words does 😭😭 So yeah, when you think about that, it does feel like what she said hurts him deeply, but it can't be helped because he wanted her to give up on him, which makes it even more sad 😭But yes, we all know that was impossible because their love is unbreakable and pure 😭😭

I have been going back to rewatch the first arc again, because it's the precious times. That ending lol 😭😅 Let's hope there will be a season 2, and if there is, I honestly hope Xu Kai and Zhou Dong Yu will come back and play Bai Jue and Shang Gu again, because if not, I don't know if I want to watch it 😅😭

Actually to me, when I said, it hurts me to see him wearing black, is not about him doing something bad behind her back, since lol, I don't view what Hei Jue doing is bad(because I understand why he did it, and won't question him for it), although, it's a sacrificial path he's taking so he can protect Shang Gu from her destiny.

If I were to elaborate how Bai Jue wearing black makes me feel i.e. sad seeing him wearing back because it is more symbolic of how he is being misunderstood, which yes, he have Hou Chi/Shang Gu misunderstood him on purpose, because *we know why*, when I am re-watching the 3rd arc again, I just felt sad to see both Shang Gu and Yuan Qi misunderstood Hei Jue like that, and since Tian Qi know what Hei Jue is planning, he could have told them the whole truth, but he didn't because it was Hei Jue's wish and Tian Qi understood why Hei Jue did it, so he helped him kept that a secret.

Bai Jue wearing black = Hei Jue, to me, how I feel about this whole 'black' business is a symbolic to how he is feeling sorrow/pain on his end(yet, he is silently enduring all this, not letting Shang Gu knows). And the mystery surrounding him, because Shang Gu don't understand why he's changed so much, but we know, and the black is like a symbolic of the tragic-path, because there's no light at the end of the tunnel for him, since he is already determined to take her place in this tribulation, which is why for me, when I see Bai Jue wearing Black, it does bring out a tragic sense in his character, because he's doing all this, but Shang Gu and Yuan Qi just doesn't know how much Hei Jue loves both of them 😭 And it's a reminder for me everytime I see him in black 😭

While I do think Bai Jue looks handsome in black too LOL 😂😂 But the Bai Jue in Black = Hei Jue, and yes, I felt the same too, the black to me, additionally is also a representation to how he is hiding his true feelings deep within his heart, and not let Shang Gu know how he truly feels. Even if some of the things she said/do have also hurted him in the process too (My heart hurts for him when Shang Gu poison the wine, because he didn't think she will but she did, although he didn't let that get to him in front of her, but damn, that scene, I felt for Hei Jue so badly 😭😭)

So for me, when he wears black, it brings out a tragic sense in his character, and makes me feel sorry for him, since him wearing black is already total opposite to who he once was, but as Hei Jue, he is more vulnerable to being hurt on his end. Just like Tian Qi said to Shang Gu, "Bai Jue have been enduring this very painfully", yet he kept the whole truth from Shang Gu/Hou Chi, is because he didn't want her to feel sad (when he's gone). That's why he wanted her to cut/broke off her love for him/Qing Mu. It's sad really.

Bai Jue/Hei Jue, to me is definitely a character worth loving. His sacrificial love, and how he endured all this silently, so he can protect Shang Gu from her destiny, just makes me love him even more. True, some of the things he said have indeed hurted Hou Chi / Shang Gu, but honestly, on most times when Shang Gu came back, what she said and did, does hurt Hei Jue too when you look at it, and when he tried to hold back his tears, but later when she's gone, he cried.... that's just.... well, the angst for you 😭That's why I am not satisfied with the short happy ending LOL 😭And always go back and watch the first arc again, since those are precious moments before the tragedy occurs haha

And yeah, it's good to watch it again and see it from a different angle/perspective, since you can pick up certain things you might have missed originally. I know I certainly picked up a few on my end, which makes it better since I understand the story to a whole new level.

Yup Yup, this is why it's always good to go back and rewatch it since you can find certain things you might have missed from your previous watch, and then after rewatching it, you can appreciate it to a whole new level 😀 I have re-watched the drama 7 times now, I definitely need help LOL 😂😅

Apparently, there's a few of us (in here), I came across with who felt that way about Cheng Xiao, but in the end, we still accepted/like that pairing because Xu Kai acting made it possible for us to like it. I was thinking that if it was another male actor who doesn't show the love/adoration, then that pair would have been very awkward indeed.

So this is why for me, in ALP, Zhou Dong Yu and Xu Kai did well in playing their characters, respectively they both were able to show me 'their love' for each other, so for me, I love Zhou Dong Yu and Xu Kai chemistry as Shang Gu x Bai Jue / Qing Mu x Hou Chi better hahaha.

I totally agree with what you said here, I am still not satisfied with the ending we've been given 😭😭 Bai Jue and Shang Gu deserves a more fulfilling ending than what we've been given 😭😭. I really wish there was an episode 50 to wrap up the story in a fulfilling note.... but right now, I am just hoping there will be a bonus clip to show an extended scene for Bai Jue and Shang Gu after he came back. A family of 3 would be nice though... Glad it's no.1! Despite there are things I wish was done better (i.e. ending being a more fulfilling one, and Jing Zhao punishment to be more harsher than what she was given...) I still love this drama a lot so, no.1 is well deserved for ALP!

That part was actually Bai Jue saying it to Gu Jun, because he said that Gu Jun could have done something on his end to prevent them, the newly weds from separating for 100 years, but Gu Jun didn't do anything to stop it, and that part was just so sad, you can see the expression from Bai Jue, how much it hurts him too, so he knows how Hou Chi would have felt on his end because no one knows how Qing Mu was feeling better than he does (after they merged/become one) 😭

I don't have a problem with Wu Huan's punishment since it was fitting to her, because death would be too easy.

I just didn't like how Jing Zhao can still accompany her mother like that and take care of her, stay by her side like that. Although I am trying really hard to comfort myself that Jing Zhao seeing her mother like this hurts her eternally because (1) she can't talk to her or communicate to her, only just watch her like that and (2) She is watching her mother losing touch of reality, i.e. she's crazy now.

I am not a fan of Jing Yang, but what he showed me and said, redeemed himself for me, so that makes him better when compared to Jing Zhao....

Even for Wu Huan, when she feels a moment of remorse in losing her son, Jing Jian and how she begged Shang Gu for saving Jing Jiang, and she will take any form of punishment on her end, as long as Jing Jiang can be saved... That is at least a bit better, even though she returned to being annoying/hateful in the end.

To me, I do think that Jing Zhao got off with a light punishment, because her punishment only come at the expense of cursing Shang Gu (not the crimes she committed previously..), so in my mind, I was like.... "If Jing Zhao did not curse Shang Gu, she will not be punished at all????" This is one reason I don't like it. Because I still think she deserves to be punish for what she did to Bai Jue, by poisoning him. Although it didn't succeed because Bai Jue was smart to not fall for that trap, but still from Jing Zhao's actions and her attempts to do it, she deserves to be punish for that IMO.

But in the end, while I may not agree with how the writers handle her punishment, I will just take it that Jing Zhao suffers from (1) and (2) said previously, as her punishment.

Anyways, that's how I see it, it's okay if we don't feel the same about Jing Zhao's punishment, it shows that we don't always feel the same in everything. If you don't mind how it ended like this (in terms of Jing Zhao's punishment), then it works out best for you :)

Oh, that is true indeed, when Qing Mu and Bai Jue became one = Hei Jue, in the third arc, he is definitely seen more soft/less of an ice-cube when compared to how he was back then, someone actually made an analysis about this and shared in here before. He also shows to have more vulnerabilities as well, this is why I feel for Hei Jue on my end :( [Still love him though]. Yup, complete memories, that's why I love Bai Jue(Hei Jue) more since he's the complete/original version, even though I also love Qing Mu a lot too.

Although I have to say to see Bai Jue wears black actually pulls at my heart (hurts me), because I know what he's planning to do (which I love his sacrificial path since it shows how much he loves Shang Gu/Hou Chi), still hurts because it's a symbolic of how much he's silently suffering on his end. I know why fans named him that way to differentiate, but to me, Hei Jue is still Bai Jue to me, no matter what colour of clothes he's wearing hahaha. But it is interesting how fans came to name him "Hei Jue" to differentiate.

Second Main leads in Miss the Dragon is definitely more interesting than the main leads/main couple, although for me, I have to still say I enjoy the bromance between Xue Qingxuan and Longyan better than the main couple hahaha. There's so little scenes of the secondary leads, and yup definitely want more 😭OMG, LOL, that actor who plays Jin Guangyao, I thought he was decent in Miss the Dragon, because I did like him before he revealed his true colours, when he revealed his true colours, I was like -___- you have to be another scheming bastard in Miss the Dragon, don't you??? -___-

I also heard there's a novel spinoff featuring Tian Qi and Yuemi's reincarnation, but I have not read it yet. I want a 2nd season for ALP as long as they keep the original casts, I still want Xu Kai to be Bai Jue and Zhou Dong Yu to be Shang Gu... I wouldn't like it if they changed cast for these two, I was disappointed that some of the casts was changed in ELOD i.e. Zhe Yan, Bai Zhen and A-Li was changed to a different actor in ELOD, and I personally prefer the ones in TMOPB better, and Ye Hua didn't even make an appearance in ELOD at all, despite he did in the novel (Pillow Book) 😭

Is Arsenal Military a happy ending? A fulfilling happy ending? I don't know if I will watch it or not, since I am still in the ALP phase (too deep in, having withdrawal problems), but I might consider watching it and see for myself when I feel like watching something new (although that drama is quite old), but from the scenes, it does look good. And LOL, they think it's BL, because Bai Lu's character is tomboyish? Well, it's not hard to tell that a female pretends to be a male right??? I usually don't have trouble telling it despite I don't know the actress. Censorship, always ruins a good show/story -___-That Happy Birthday one is smart, although everytime, he said "Happy Birthday", I wonder if those around him pick up the strangeness in it? Since imagine they have already heard the "Happy Birthday" in that year, and later on in that same year, he said it again. Hahahaah, then that would seem like she have more than one birthday that year 😂

Yup, novel don't have a hug. Just words to express how happy that moment is to her that Bai Jue has returned and that's the end. So I didn't like how the novel ended that way even more 😅Yeah, Lol, I have not counted the forehead kisses, but I do think that it's more than the kiss on the lips, since that was only 3, so forehead kiss, I think vaguely from what I remember is a bit more than the kiss on the lips 😅😭

As for Xu Kai and Bai Lu haha, everyone(me included) love the chemistry between these two. I do hope they will have another drama together as a couple in the future.

Sorry to say this but I actually felt that while Xu Kai character Lu Si Cheng did well in expressing his love, but I can't really feel the 'love' part coming from Cheng Xiao, like there are times where she felt awkward to me, which makes it hard to watch. If the story did not say, they are a couple, and they did couple things like kissing, I can literally just take how she sees him as a friend, instead of boyfriend. Xu Kai did a better job in expressing his love for her than Cheng Xiao, which is why in the end, despite what I am saying, I don't dislike the pair in FIYS, I do like the pair, but I don't really love the pair on my end, because the chemistry is lacking from what Cheng Xiao failed to show me on her part. No hate on the actress here.

This is just my opinion though. No offence intended.

To me, I felt Zhou Dong Yu and Xu Kai have more chemistry in their characters here (Ancient Love Poetry), but this is how I see it from watching both dramas entirely 😅

Who? Zhou Dong Yu?? If so, then I disagree with you, to me she was able to convinced me with her acting in her character as Shang Gu and Hou Chi. She expresses her emotions well, to the point that I felt she was made for this role. It's also because of her acting ability in expressing these emotions that made her chemistry with Xu Kai character Bai Jue/Qing Mu so refreshing to see. I wouldn't say they don't have chemistry, because to me they do so I quite enjoy the pair on my end.

All I can do now is just to imagine Jing Zhao lives a miserable life because she's mute and can't communicate with her mother anymore. But I will be honest, I am not satisfied with her punishment, since she disrespected Shang Gu and cursed her like that, and she even poisoned Bai Jue, which is a capital crime. Even though Bai Jue was faking it, doesn't change how she actually did poison him on her end. Worst, she shows no remorse...I wanted to see her being punished harsher not just being mute. But with how it's played out, I can only just put my imagination to good use here that she's suffering eternally on her end.

As for the last part, I do also think that Bai Jue kept her close so he could monitor Wu Huan through her.

Haha, but I can already see Qing Mu traits in Bai Jue back in the God Realm back then, like the part when Bai Jue wanted to apologize to Shang Gu, but didn't know what to say and do on his end, so Hong Ri helped in by writing it down for him, and Bai Jue took it down on his palm, and then the part when he read it word for word to Shang Gun LOL 🤣🤣🤣 and after he read it, both Tian Qi and Yuemi was laughing at Bai Jue, and they were like "is this something Bai Jue would say?? And then Bai Jue realized what he said LOL, so that embarrassed look and how he just left afterwards was LOL 🤣🤣🤣 that part is almost equivalent to how Qing Mu found out that the flowers he picked for Hou Chi turned out to be herbal flowers, and how Hou Chi laughed at him and he was like embarrassed lol.

Another example is, when Bai Jue was jealous of Tian Qi back then in the God Realm, as well as the part when he went to apologized to Shang Gu at the Dating Event, that is another similar trait that we see in Qing Mu, so honestly to me, back then, there are more than one occasion where Bai Jue have already shown me these Qing Mu traits, where he can really be sweet and adorable on his end. This is why I love the first arc so much because even back then Bai Jue have already shown me his adorable side on these rare occasions, not once but several times <3

This is why to me, Qing Mu is an extension to Bai Jue, and how Qing Mu felt for Hou Chi is Bai Jue sincere feelings, because Qing Mu is an extension to Bai Jue that is more open and unrestrained to love, so these feelings that he felt, I believe are also from Bai Jue, but the more honest/upfront part to him.

Hei Jue is the name the chinese fandom dubbed for Bai Jue because "Hei" means black in chinese and "Bai" is white haha, so when they referenced "Hei Jue" it is the him in the third arc where he wears black. And Xu Kai knows about how fans dubbed it like that to differentiate the Bai Jue from back then compared to the Hei Jue that is in the third arc but loll to me I view them as the same 😅😅🤣
