Just because he can't be there under his real appearance, but him using "Feng Ran" appearance and all those hints, already tells us that it's not the first time he did it...when he played with Yuan Qi...

He even got told off by Tian Qi because him going there every day secretly makes it harder for Tian Qi to keep this a secret for him....

Did you forget the toys that he made for Yuan Qi and gave to Tian Qi for Yuan Qi????

Bai Jue have been using indirect methods to spend time with Yuan Qi...and Yuan Qi knew in the end when they had their time in episode 48 so this is not parent negligence....if he actually spends time with Yuan Qi, even when it was under the diguise of "Feng Ran" everytime it happened. The "Feng Ran" that Yuan Qi comes to really love is actually his father, that disguised as Feng Ran, so honestly, this is not negligence...if you think it's negligence then did you see Shang Gu was neglecting Yuan Qi when she spent 503 years waiting for Bai Jue to return??? She left Yuan Qi to Zhi Yang and Tian Qi's care too....

If you dont see Shang Gu as a neglecting parent, then don't put this label on Bai Jue. If you can understand this from Shang Gu's perspective, try to understand Bai Jue too, afterall, it was revealed Bai Jue left Yuan Qi to Tian Qi's care was to protect him, from Wu Huan...

What do you want him to do? To just sit there and do NOTHING at all, and let her sacrifice herself again?

Why he did that is because it shows us and her(even if YOU FAILED to see that) how much he loves her to want to take her place in this sacrifice instead.

And FYI, No one wants to see the person you love dies. His sacrificial love for her comes from how he wants to protect her from dying.

And when one sacrificed itself for the peace of the three realms, you are supposed to sacrifice every being of you (soul and body), so if your soul is gone, then the chances of you being reborn is close to zero.

Bai Jue stopped the process back then when Shang Gu sacrificed herself, so even if her body is gone, her soul wasn't, that's why she can still be reborn.

If it weren't because of all this being their love trial, and Shang Gu begged the ancestors god to bring Bai Jue back in the end, then Bai Jue wouldn't have been able to return to her. Because she have waited 503 years for him, and he didn't come back or reborn at all, so it was a miracle in which the Ancestors Gods fulfilled for Shang Gu since that is her wish.

If Bai Jue knew about this, and didn't do anything and let her die, then there wouldn't even be a touching love story to tell.

To Bai Jue, he only wanted to protect Shang Gu and all he wanted was her safety, ofcourse before he sacrificed himself, he ensured that she can live on happily so she wont feel sad when he's gone, that's all and what he can do for her, because he loves her, loves her so much that he can't just sit back and do nothing so him taking her place in this sacrifice is showing us and her how much he loves her and is willing to take her place.

So stop only seeing this from Shang Gu's pov. What Bai Jue is doing now, Shang Gu did the same to him back then....the only difference is, unlike how Shang Gu did not take into consideration how Bai Jue being left alone after she's gone to grief for her, Bai Jue at least did everything he could to ensure Shang Gu can forget about him and this relationship so this makes it less hurtful in the long run...

And again, Shang Gu isnt the only one suffering, Bai Jue have suffered MORE than her.....

Yeah it happens a lot, not so much on western side but Chinese side, some are paid to make such toxic comments from what I know. If a series is popular there are sometimes paid haters to make such hate comments to mark it down so the series wont be so popular. That goes the same for actors. I think we can learn a thing or two from FIYS with how little things can also spread hate on Weibo on certain players and that is only for E-Sports, so you can really imagine that actors had it more hard.

So it's really sad when that happens, cyber abuse is never a pleasant feeling. No actors deserve that. You dont like then don't watch. No need to directly attack an actor with hate comments like that! 😒😒

Some are paid to do it though. Its not uncommon, and it's just disgusting imo. If something is popular, they became the centre to attention, this is why for me, sometimes not being popular is a blessing in disguise because at least they are protected from being targeted....but that thought is just sad though...

I honestly hope Xu Kai will get paired with Bai Lu again, because they really did have great chemistry. It will be a shame if they can't collaborate again. Whatever it is, I do hope that they didn't let what happen ruin their friendship.

Xu Kai will always have my support. I am glad I came to love him in ALP. It's the first drama I've seen him in and fell in love with. The Legends is another one I love, and I also love him in FIYS, he really have a way of bringing the best in the characters he played in these respective dramas.

Yes, their loss for not knowing how to appreciate a complex and loveable character such as Bai Jue, but glad to know that at least some of us did in here ^^

Yeah, that really did. Yeah the subs aren't exactly translated as per what's been said 😅 wetv subs arent that great in translation from what I gathered. However whoever did the subs for 47-49 that was uploaded on Dramacool was good imo, since they translated it better.

Oh Jing Zhao is such a bitch to the end. I wanted to stab her 1000 times everytime she open her freaking mouth to speak!! 😒😒 so I am glad she's mute now!! I can't believe she have no remorse and cursed Shang Gu at the end, like wtf!!! Even her elder brother redeemed himself for me at least...but her?! She don't even feel remorse for what she's done!! She poisoned Bai Jue, a true god, which is a death crime!!! 😒😒😒 but in the end, I will just imagine how she will suffer in the end, by not being able to speak again and communicate with Wu Huan, and I do think her seeing her mother being crazy like this hurts her... so, urgh, even if I wanted to see her being punished more, I'll just take that she is not going to live a happy life to see her mother like that lol

For me, I did doubt that Bai Jue and Tian Qi will be down for the count but at the same time I am someone who, despite I find it suspicious, but because of what happened and what I saw in that moment, I need to know and see for myself to reassure me that they're okay. I mean, I know they are okay, but because I am so emotionally attached to them, I want to see them okay, and not like how that cliff hanger ended 😅 it was agonizing, because I literally have to wait for a week for the next episode lol

Some say they are likely paid haters to stir up the trouble and I find it sad. Like if they can give constuctive criticism that actually makes sense then sure, but some of those hate comments is really just there for the sake of hating the character or actor which is annoying.

I heard about what happened to Bai Lu and I hate that it happened. She didn't deserve to be targeted like that. Because of what happened, it is sad that the chances of them collaborating again is less likely :( I do hope they will have another drama as a cp again since I love their chemistry.

As far as Xu Kai goes, I love him. He's a great and expressive actor that pours his heart into playing the characters well so I will support his future works and look forward to his dramas in the future.

As far as hate for Bai Jue goes, at this stage, it is just ridiculous to me, for all said. Oh well, I guess some people just doesn't know how to appreciate and understand a complex character....

I am not entirely satisfied with that bitch Jing Zhao getting a light punishment, but when I think that she can no longer speak to her mother (Wu Huan), it makes it a bit satisfying, because she can't communicate with her mother anymore, and can only see her like that being crazy is a bit satisfying...although I wish Jing Zhao gets punish more on her end... I like to think she is stripped from her immortal status on her end.

Yes exactly, and you said it. This is why I always see that Qing Mu and Hou Chi are extension to Bai Jue and Shang Gu's love. They got that wish granted when they experienced this kind of love under a different identity, where they are not tied down by their responsibilities, and are free to love each other. Them experiencing this under a different identity doesn't mean it's not their sincere love as Bai Jue and Shang Gu, because they are extensions to Bai Jue and Shang Gu's love for each other. Without Bai Jue and Shang Gu, Qing Mu and Hou Chi wouldn't exist. The only reason they have their own conscious who makes them who they are is because (1) they don't have their past memories and (2) they are not tied down by their responsibilities. So they are more carefree to love each other that way. But Qing Mu and Hou Chi are still Bai Jue and Shang Gu because they are one.

Qing Mu and Hou Chi is the kind of sweet love we all want to see for them, but people failed to remember what Bai Jue and Shang Gu was like back then in the God Realm. If the tragedy didn't happen back then, I dare say, that they would have been able to have their own version of Qing Mu and Hou Chi sweet love back then, because they showed me they could. But if none of these tragedies happened, then the story would not develop into this touching love story IMO.

Those clips sure saved us from times of need 🤣 waiting for those episodes was a pain, but I am thankful I can understand the episodes in raws so I don't have to wait for English subs, otherwise the pain will be even more agonising 😭😭😭

Oh, definitely, the beginning and how the back story is developed is my favourite, those were the best build up before it enters into the 2nd arc.

Totally worth it! I may have my stance about the ending, hoping it to be more fulfilling, but in the end, ALP is definitely worth watching. IMO, I actually love ALP more than AOL. Both mains are more loveable to me when compared to AOL, but this is how I see it.

My only advise to you is, just pay attention to the details in the first arc, like what you're doing now, because it helps connects to the later story, and why the ML (Bai Jue) is doing all this on his end. And it will also help you understand/see this from his side of perspectives which enables you to see both sides perspectives better.

For me, I love the ML (Bai Jue) because he really has done a lot for Shang Gu, and he will always have my love and respect. I do love the FL in this one too because she's not portrayed to be naive as some of the FL in the other Xianxia drama's I've seen. Anyhow to me, both Bai Jue and Shang Gu is loveable, so hope you can love/enjoy both characters on your end.

In terms of ending, for these 4 dramas, ALP have the most unfulfilling happy ending, where viewers was left wanting more... So looking at ending side of things, I think I will go with ALP, since to me, the ending is what sums up the entirety of the story, and if the ending is a happy ending and ends in a fulfilling note, then it will make up for all the heart-breaks they both have been through.

All Xianxia have their own heart-breaks in their own way, it's hard to weigh which is more heart breaking, since it also depends on how much you're invested in the characters or a pairing. If you don't like the pair, you won't feel heart-break at all.

For me personally, I will go with ALP, because it have it's own heart-breaks, but the ending just didn't make up for their heart-breaks in a fulfilling note. I don't mind heart-break as long as the ending makes this up for me, but for ALP, the ending left me unsatisfied and wanting more in the end. I wish it end in a more fulfilling note, when compared to the other 3. To clear it up, ALP have a happy ending, but just not very satisfying in comparison. Although this is personal preference, since I've seen some people loving that ending.

I actually wanted ALP to end it similar to TMOPB, but that was too much to ask for, unfortunately...

I am now convinced the haters who bash Bai Jue really don't understand the story and have fast forward those dialogues, and explanations 눈_눈. Either that, or they're just hating for the sake of trolling. Their hate makes zero sense to me, because what they are hating on, have already been explained why it played out that way. Well, in the end, if you can't love, accept and understand, then that's your choice and your loss. I'm done. But I will still say this, thank you to those in here, who can love and understand Bai Jue, and see this from his perspectives, because you showed me that you can really see this from both sides perspectives.

And lastly, to those who says/thinks Bai Jue is an unloving father.... I whole-heartedly disagree with you. Episode 48 is there for a reason. It provided the answers to our questions and why Bai Jue did what he did, it didn't just provide us with these answers, but it also shows how much Bai Jue loves Yuan Qi. But then, if you can't understand the context presented in that episode, and the story as 'a whole', then yeah, we are really watching a different drama at this stage.

I actually time-stamped this, for the close up hug, we only got 33 seconds, which makes it even worst T^T. Honestly, after all they've been through, and what we've been through, I really didn't like how it ended like that. I wanted more, where the ending ends in a fulfilling note. I would have been happy/content if Yuan Qi was there, and he running up to his father, hugging him and welcoming him back, and Bai Jue smiled at Yuan Qi and pick him up into his arms and carry him, and then Shang Gu smiling at the two of them, well, all 3 of them smiling at each other, showing how blissful their time will be from now on, at least we finally get a family of 3 on the SAME SCREEN!! T^T But nope, we are robbed with that ending!! T^T

Tian Qi is indeed hahahaha, his character portrayal in the second arc really bump his character into my favourite list. I love his bromance with Bai Jue. I love him for being there for Bai Jue to give him the emotional support, and someone who is there who understands him. To me, Bai Jue, Tian Qi and Zhi Yang are more like brothers, instead of friends, because I love how Yuan Qi calls Zhi Yang 'elder uncle/first uncle', and Tian Qi 'Third uncle', because it shows that Zhi Yang is the elder brother, Bai Jue is the second eldest and Tian Qi is the youngest (third eldest), so while there won't be a second uncle for Yuan Qi 😂 Since Bai Jue is his father, but if Tian Qi have a child in the future, then they will call Bai Jue 'Second uncle'.

I am so glad to see Hong Ri return, even when people is complaining that Hong Ri can come back made no sense -___- And complaining about Gu Jun coming back makes no sense -___- well, for me, I welcome them back with open arms, since I love them. Getting to see Hong Ri back in his human form is a blessing moment <3 Also hoping for Season 2 with the same cast!!! And hope Season 2 will also give us some Bai Jue and Shang Gu moments, and ofcourse some Bai Jue/Shang Gu and Yuan Qi, family of 3 moments, well... one can hope, right? >.<
