I think you should just watch the episodes properly. You will get your answers if you do.

ep 47 really brought me to tears when Shang Gu & Bai Jue (Bai Jue is not honest why Shang Gu's memory was sealed…
It would have been so much better if we get an extended version of their bliss after Bai Jue came back IMO.

Ohhh, now that I think about it, back in the God Realm, when Bai Jue wanted to apologize to Shang Gu, and when he didn't know what to do/say to apologize to Shang Gu, Hong Ri actually helped him by writing down what he needs to say that will make Shang Gu feel better. Bai Jue took those notes on his palm, the funny, well, adorable part of it all is, Bai Jue actually read it word for word to Shang Gu 🀣 And then how he got embarrassed afterwards because Tian Qi and Yuemi was like "Is this something Bai Jue would say?" While Shang Gu was appreciating this moment LOL.

That scene is equivalent to the scene when Qing Mu picked a bouquet of medicine flowers for Hou Chi, and how Hou Chi laughed at him that those are flower medicines, and the reaction to Qing Mu expresses was so adorable, when he realized it was flower medicine LOL.

This is why to me, if some people go back to rewatch the first arc, and 'pay close attention', they would have picked out these Qing Mu traits from Bai Jue back in the God Realm. Not to mention the part when Bai Jue was jealous of Tian Qi back then too was nice to see IMO

Yeah, that's why we go back fo first arc for the sweetest scene 🀭
I agree, the first arc, before all the tragedy happened is their sweetest moments indeed, and you can also see traits of Qing Mu coming out of Bai Jue, like when he's jealous of Tian Qi, when he apologized to her, and not to mention the part, Hong Ri wrote down what he needed to say (on his palm) and Bai Jue actually go and read it out directly from it LMAO, that was so cute and adorable of him. I felt like most have really forgotten the moments in the first arc lol.

Wow, some hates comments in here I find are just 눈_눈 Well, you either love or you hate. In the end, that's…
And.... No one wants to see the person you love dies. His sacrificial love for her comes from how he wants to protect her from dying.

When one sacrificed itself for the peace of the three realms, you are supposed to sacrifice every being of you (soul and body), so if your soul is gone, then the chances of you being reborn is close to zero.

Bai Jue stopped the process back then when Shang Gu sacrificed herself, so even if her body is gone, her soul wasn't, that's why she can still be reborn.

If it weren't because of all this being their love trial, and Shang Gu begged the ancestors god to bring Bai Jue back in the end, then Bai Jue wouldn't have been able to return to her. Because she have waited 503 years for him, and he didn't come back or reborn at all, so it was a miracle in which the Ancestors Gods fulfilled for Shang Gu since that is her wish.

If Bai Jue knew about this, and didn't do anything and let her die, then there wouldn't even be a touching love story to tell.

To Bai Jue, he only wanted to protect Shang Gu and all he wanted was her safety, ofcourse before he sacrificed himself, he ensured that she can live on happily so she wont feel sad when he's gone, that's all and what he can do for her, because he loves her, loves her so much that he can't just sit back and do nothing so him taking her place in this sacrifice is showing us and her how much he loves her and is willing to take her place.

To be honest, I wouldn't have it any other way. I love what Bai Jue have shown me because of his sacrificial love for Shang Gu/Hou Chi so personally I don't hate the story for showing me this, because I understand where he's coming from.

Wow, some hates comments in here I find are just 눈_눈 Well, you either love or you hate. In the end, that's your loss for not knowing how to appreciate it. For me, I will always love Bai Jue, and appreciate his sacrificial love for Hou Chi/Shang Gu. Qing Mu and Hou Chi are extensions to Bai Jue and Shang Gu to me, their brief happiness is an extension to the life Bai Jue and Shang Gu want to have with each other, like Gu Jun said, them being together, makes up for Bai Jue and Shang Gu's regret, because it's a kind of life they wanted to have, and could have gotten if the tragedy didn't happen 60,000 years ago. I don't have any doubts that both Bai Jue and Shang Gu could have gotten their own version of Qing Mu and Hou Chi earlier, if the tragedy didn't happen back then, because they showed me they could but IF all that did not happen back then, then this series wouldn't have had a 49 episodes to tell IMO.

I love the bromance between tianqi and baijue, it seems like only tianqi understood baijue and what he was willing…
Me too! The bromance between Bai Jue and Tian Qi was what healed my heart when Bai Jue was being misunderstood on his end (T^T). When I can't get romance for my otp, I will go bromance XD (LOL). Tian Qi was there who gives him emotional support. These two really have come a long way, they are much closer (in my opinion) now when compared to the first arc. Those parts when Bai Jue have Shang Gu misunderstood him, and those words she said that have hurted him so much, I can't help but feel bad for him and want to give him a hug T^T [At times like this, I wish Hong Ri was still there for him, but he's not, at least Tian Qi was], since Tian Qi is the only one alive who understood why Bai Jue is doing all this. To me, Bai Jue and Tian Qi are more like brothers, than close friends <3

You asked what episode he turn back to be himself right? Unless you elaborate on it... I assumed you meant Bai Jue returning, and that is at the end of ep 38.. Not sure where you got the Netherworld from.

It was okay tho I'm not that invested in the leads story compared to other Xianxia story. Zhou Dong Yu act okay…
Xu Kai, even as Bai Jue, portrayed his emotions very well to me, especially with his eyes (micro expressions), I can feel his pain, his love, and his sadness. Most times, I felt like crying with him because he's just that good. So I personally disagree with what you said about Xu Kai there

Someone mention before tianqi happy ending is in another book
Shang Gu part was explained, because Bai Jue stopped the tribulation of chaos back then by temporarily sealed it, Shang Gu didn't need to sacrifice her 'every being' (soul + body), she sacrificed her body, but her soul was saved, so she was able to be reborn again. Ofcourse, her rebirth is still count as "Shang Gu", since Shang Gu original being is still there, but in slumber for all these years, that's why Hou Chi didn't have the memories of Shang Gu on her end. Bai Jue sealed her god veins because it was Shang Gu's wish before she died, she didn't want to be a god in her next life.

Gu Jun was saved, but it was not shown 'on-screen', instead, this was explained by Hong Ri, that Bai Jue saved Gu Jun "soul" which allows him to be reborn again, where he puts his soul inside the spirit suppressing tower (I think that's what it's called), and if he cultivate enough, then he can regain his immortality/body and come back.

For Tian Qi and Hong Ri, well, I can't explain it, so I will just gladly accept it, since I am happy they come back because I do love them on my end, I rather they are alive instead of dead.

The only bitter truth is Yuemi and Zi Han couldn't come back. If they can, that would have been perfect.

Technically Baijue decided to never reveal Shanggu about their past, so she won't grieve about his death. Then…
I don't remember Bai Jue saying that, because in the moment, before he sacrificed himself, he showed me he have no intention of wanting Shang Gu to remember on his end. But I have my stance to this perspective, to me, what played out is 'Destiny' wanted Shang Gu to remember, not Bai Jue, since he didn't want Shang Gu to feel the burden and sadness of her remembering after he's gone. But like I said, this is what I've gathered in the story.

I am basing this on the drama, not the novel. Although the novel, even before he sacrificed himself, he showed me he didn't want Shang Gu to remember her past, and he wants Tian Qi to hide this from her, so when he showed me that, I don't see that he wants Shang Gu to remember, since that will make her sad and defeats what he's been trying to do on his end, enduring all this and to have Shang Gu cut him out completely before he sacrificed himself.

To me, it wasn't Bai Jue's intention, but it was destiny that played out that way and have the memories returned to Shang Gu.

Do Qing Mu and houchi break up spoiler please
Qing Mu is Bai Jue, Hou Chi is Shang Gu, so when Qing Mu and Bai Jue became one, they are one. When Hou Chi became one with Shang Gu, and when Shang Gu regained her lost memories, then they are one. So if you look at it, Bai Jue and Shang Gu is the complete version to Qing Mu and Hou Chi, and when Bai Jue and Shang Gu got their happy ending in the end, it's the same as Qing Mu and Hou Chi getting their happy ending, because they are one and the same. For me personally, Qing Mu and Hou Chi never died, that's how I see it.
