If you're talking about in the drama, in terms of elements, Bai Jue is fire, Tian Qi felt more like thunder to me. Zhi Yang, I am not sure.

I do strongly believe it was not in Bai Jue’s intention to return Shang Gu’s memories, because that’s the whole reason he have to endure so much to the point of having her cut him out so she won’t feel sad/upset when he’s gone. So my take on the part when Bai Jue gave the bracelet to Yuan Qi, was for him only, because he said to him “I’ll give you a present”, he didn’t tell him to give this to his mother (Shang Gu). So that bracelet was meant to be for Yuan Qi not Shang Gu, it was the last present that Bai Jue wanted to give to Yuan Qi, so that bracelet can act like a connection between him and his son which serves like protection charm for Yuan Qi one day if he needs it, the same way it was meant for Shang Gu/Hou Chi back then. This whole bracelet suddenly cracking (which lead to the the memories being returned to Shang Gu) is destiny wanting Shang Gu to remember her past and what Bai Jue have sacrificed for her.

Bai Jue was determined to not have Shang Gu know about her past so she can live on happily. In the end, it was something (that he did not intend to happen), just so happens so they can push forward for their happy ending...Just remember, Bai Jue, didn't endure all that to have Shang Gu cut him out of her life completely, and before he go to sacrificed himself, he even made it look like she's in her dream, to tell her to not think about him, or dream about him anymore, so he have no intention for Shang Gu to feel hurt/burden when he is gone.

Even if Yuan Qi gives the bracelet to Shang Gu, since he have no need for it, Bai Jue did not intend for the bracelet to crack, and then the memories leaked out to return the memories to Shang Gu... This whole thing about having Shang Gu remembering is not what Bai Jue intended, it is all about 'Destiny' again, the same way how he never intended for Qing Mu and Hou Chi to be together, but Destiny got them together. This time, the return of her memories, is 'Destiny' wanted her to remember, which acts like a plot point to push forward for their happy ending in the end.

Was rewatching the drama from the beginning again, and when I was on that scene when Shang Gu sacrificed herself, and afterwards, how Bai Jue was left grieving for her death, and how he locked himself in his room, carving the wooden figure of Shang Gu, the first time (when I first watched it), I cried for him, and on my re-watch again, no matter how many times I've rewatched that scene, I still did cried for him again... Poor Bai Jue :(

I love them all, but if I have to choose my no.1 favourite, that would be: "Induction - Gǎnyìng" (感应) by Liu Yuning

It's good to be warned.. haha, I went into it without any warnings, but well, still stuck with it to the end, since I love Xu Kai in that drama <3

I AGREE. I am still bitter about this....We only got a close up of them hugging less than 30 seconds. I am still pissed about that on my end.... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

The drama gave us something, more i.e. a hug and in each other's embrace. The novel doesn't have that.

I am not so happy about how it ended in the drama though, I wanted an extended scene, but I will take a hug/them in each other's embrace over nothing at all..

The hug did not even last for 30 seconds for a close up shot.... 😒 Well, Gu Jun is implied to come back again in the future, Hong Ri came back. Jing Jian was reborn, so it's not so bad. Except, I wish Zi Han and Yuemi can come back too, then that would have been perfect.

Same, here, I am not hating on the actress too, but I just can't get that love feeling from her, so this pairing did lack chemistry in terms of romance coming from her side, not Xu Kai, because Xu Kai, I can get the love from him, which makes it less awkward, but imagine another actor can't express that love for her, then god, it will be the most awkward pairing ever.

Like I said before, episode 48 gets an award for making me want to 😭😭😭

For me, the FL failed to show me her emotions like she's 'in love' with Lu Si Cheng (Xu Kai's character). If the story did not say they're a couple, and if they did not do couple things, like kissing, I can literally take that she sees him as a friend. Honestly between the pair, Xu Kai acting saved this pair for me, otherwise, I wouldn't have liked it (lol). I don't hate the pair, I just don't love it the way I thought I will be. But I have no problems with Xu Kai's acting in that one, like I said, he practically carried the whole show for me! Although there are other side characters that is loveable too. That drama is a nice watch

Xu Kai definitely nailed it in those scenes, and how he expresses his emotions in his character 😭😭😭 I felt so sad for Bai Jue to be honest, especially the part after Shang Gu told him that she will never love him or hate him, and they will be forever stranger, that part when she said that to him truly hurts....He was trying to hold back his emotions, yet, after he left, omg, I want to give him a hug 😭😭😭 And no, you're not wrong, some of us felt the same too, how Yuan Qi figured out it was his father (Bai Jue) who disguised as "Feng Ran" back then, and took him out to play, although it was never confirmed he said he knows, but you can gather these details that he knew. I cried the part when Yuan Qi called Bai Jue "Father" 😭😭😭 That part was.....😭😭😭 And the part he went to Shang Gu, and made it look like a dream, where he told her to not think of him or dream of him anymore, and how he told her to take good care of herself, and before he left he told her "I love you. Good bye" <-- too bad Shang Gu didn't hear the last part 😭😭😭

That is a huge spoiler so I won't be spoiling it for you 😅, but you get the vibes when she shows you these signs loln

Oh nice, welcome to the club to us who's seen ep 48, I was so teary in that scene between father-son, like I am so thankful they gave us this moment 😭😭😭 and Xu Kai did a excellent job in expressing his emotions!!! 😭😭😭 and he even showed me that he's really a loving father in those moments too!!! The part when he wanted to hear Yuan Qi call him "father", just once, once was enough and when Yuan Qi at first express he can't say it 😭😭😭 and then later he said it while Bai Jue was leaving and then did you know that scene made me cried so much!!!! Bai Jue how he held back his tears yet he couldn't hold it back anymore, omg. Thats listed down as my favourite moment!!!

As for the ending, it is a happy ending, but not a fulfilling one to me. I am not going to spoil the details in my reply. You will see when you watch it T-T . I honestly wished we have ep 50 to wrap up the story in a fulfilling note, because Bai Jue and Shang Gu and us deserves it after all they've and us been through 😭😭

Instead of blaming Bai Jue for coming back early, you should blame Wu Huan, because Wu Huan was planning to kill Qing Mu, and she have every intention to, even at that time, if Bai Jue didn't rushed back, Qing Mu would have been dead. It was thanks to Bai Jue that Qing Mu was saved, although in the end, it was inevitable for him that he have to become one with Bai Jue, because it needed to happen at that moment. Bai Jue wouldn't have come back that soon, like he said, him rushing back have cost him, because he only regained 40% of his powers.

Xu Kai in Falling into your Smile is really great too. He practically carried the show for me in that one.

I didn't say that in that novel Yuan Qi and Bai Jue relationship is not so great. For the Yuan Qi's adventure one, I only read the last chapter so didn't read the whole thing so can't comment about it as a whole, but from what my friend told me, they didn't have any interaction that we wish to see in that spinoff.

This deserves a higher rating. It will be nice if it reaches 8.8 or 8.9.
