Can we international fan make a petition so that we can get maybe a little more episodes or something? 😣
That's highly unlikely because it is hard to gather the cast again to just film one more episode... sad really.... unless they have cuts that they opted out then all we can ask is a bonus scene to show an extended scene to that ending..

Thanks for the heads up, I am not fond of tragic endings for my fav character so I will pass on that drama.

I think you made some good points here, so you should post your original comment about Bai Jue's plan and your second reply about the destiny part in the "Bai Jue's drama perspective" thread I made. So it's easy to track back to later for reference.

I watch this drama almost 3 times and i am planning to watch it again.... every time it makes me cry .....like…
This is also my favourite drama too. In terms of the ending, I felt the same. Wish they had ep 50 to wrap up the story in a more fulfilling note...

this is very good drama. the only thing stuck my is the story line.everything is good but the story is just don't…
No one wants to see the person you love dies. His sacrificial love for her comes from how he wants to protect her from dying.

And when one sacrificed itself for the peace of the three realms, you are supposed to sacrifice every being of you (soul and body), so if your soul is gone, then the chances of you being reborn is close to zero.

Bai Jue stopped the process back then when Shang Gu sacrificed herself, so even if her body is gone, her soul wasn't, that's why she can still be reborn.

If it weren't because of all this being their love trial, and Shang Gu begged the ancestors god to bring Bai Jue back in the end, then Bai Jue wouldn't have been able to return to her. Because she have waited 503 years for him, and he didn't come back or reborn at all, so it was a miracle in which the Ancestors Gods fulfilled for Shang Gu since that is her wish.

If Bai Jue knew about this, and didn't do anything and let her die, then there wouldn't even be a touching love story to tell.

To Bai Jue, he only wanted to protect Shang Gu and all he wanted was her safety, ofcourse before he sacrificed himself, he ensured that she can live on happily so she wont feel sad when he's gone, that's all and what he can do for her, because he loves her, loves her so much that he can't just sit back and do nothing so him taking her place in this sacrifice is showing us and her how much he loves her and is willing to take her place.

To be honest, I wouldn't have it any other way. I love what Bai Jue have shown me because of his sacrificial love for Shang Gu/Hou Chi so personally I don't hate the story for showing me this, because I understand where he's coming from.

In Indonesian sub they translate it more accurate than the English version. Its so endearing to hear that. They're…
Ice cube is 冰块 (Bing Kuai)
Technically, 冰块 is ice cube, so it's not wrong to translate like that, but we all know that is referring to his personality being cold, and keeps everyone at a distant.

But when Tian Qi calls him 冰块, he added the word "儿"(er) in, 冰块儿 (Bing Kuai er) and it is not uncommon where they add the word "儿"(er) at the end of their name, that's actually an endearing way one will call another person if they are close.

If you watched enough Chinese dramas, you will sometimes see the word "儿" being followed by a character name.

And I couldn't agree more than what you said here!

Now how good it will be if those who don't understand this, can see it in this perspective too?

I read in the comments that english subs might be out tomorrow, although I don't know, since I didn't watch it in subs. Maybe check again tomorrow to see if it's out.

Last 3 episodes, especially ep 48 will be emotional :(

Yes, family, that's how I like to see them as.
That's good to know that the Indonesian Subs is more accurate for you there.

In terms of English Translation goes, I do find that sometimes the translations isn't translated word for word, so that's a bit sad for those who don't understand the language, because the endearing part is lost in translation. I can't speak about the different translation, but as long as the context between the two is not lost, then I guess, that's okay?

Yuan Qi calling Zhi Yang "First Uncle" and Tian Qi "Third Uncle", too bad the English translation doesn't translate it like that. But anyways, I do love the reference of 'First' and 'Third', here because it's like bringing forth a sense that Zhi Yang, Bai Jue and Tian Qi are like brothers. Where:

Zhi Yang is the elder brother
Bai Jue is the second eldest.
Tian Qi being the third eldest (well, youngest lol).

Ofcourse, there won't be a Second uncle for Yuan Qi, since Bai Jue is his father, but the whole reference of “First Uncle” on Zhi Yang, and “Third Uncle” on Tian Qi, it really is endearing to see it like they are a family <3 and Ofcourse if Tian Qi have his own child, then he/she will call Bai Jue “Second Uncle” <3 <3

This is my first Xu Kai drama, so I fell in love with him in this drama, then I went to watched 'The Legends' and loved him in that one also, and then Falling into your Smile (which is a modern drama), and I also love him in that drama. Xu Kai really is a talented actor, so I am looking forward to his future dramas on my end! <3

Hmm, I might consider when I feel like watching something new. I do love Xu Kai, so that already motivates me. But it will probably be a while before I watch it since I am still in the ALP world (and rewatching this drama LOL)

Un who is hei jue?🤭
Don't take it personally hahah. It's just the Chinese fandom to call him Hei Jue, because 'Hei' is the pin ying for 'black', and 'Bai' is white. So after Bai Jue's awakening at the end of ep 38, he wore black, so that's why some fans refer him as 'Hei' Jue.

Although to me, I see them all is the same person, and I will still call him Bai Jue on my end. Seeing him wearing black actually hurts me though, because I know what he's planning, and how much suffering/pain he's enduring just to protect Shang Gu/Hou Chi on his end T^T

Some article in Weibo make me remember that Bai Jue's plan actually :1. Raise up Houchi, get Chaos power, and…
^THIS!!

Although I see this whole "Destiny" thing plays in their favour in the end result for them to get their happy ending.

But for Bai Jue, yes, it was never in his intention to hurt Hou Chi/Shang Gu. He even lied to her that he's not Qing Mu, I do think it was his way to let her remember Qing Mu and look back on those memories as something sweet/happy for her, since now he becomes one with Qing Mu, he is determined to go through his plans, and the only way to protect her is for her to not finding out the truth and keep her away from the danger, that's why lied that he doesn't know her/he's not Qing Mu.

Bai Jue have also use indirect ways to make it less hurtful for her, but in the end, it just doesn't go his way. He is also hurting to have to do this to her, because he never wanted to hurt her or get her involve in any of this. It's like Destiny is playing with him, but all this 'destiny' business, I see it that while it doesn't go his way, however, in the long-run, it is push forwarding for their happy ending, because destiny wants Shang Gu to remember, so she knows what exactly happened, and then later, how it all played out, well, we know in the end.

I didn't make any comments in the FIYS page about that since I know I will offend many fans in that page, but I did word it in my review in there, well, just in a more 'lighter' note. I didn't read the novel to FIYS so don't know how their relationship develops further, I am guessing you mean 'making love' part in the novel? Cuz in the drama, it's just kiss.

Yes, I love the supporting casts too, and I think this is the first drama I know where I don't have any characters I hate XD.

Good luck with you when the subs is out, I won't spoil anymore with the later episodes, you can see it when the subs is out. For me, I don't like open endings/tragic endings for a pairing I love, so hopefully when SAHPH aired, and if I end up loving that pair, I hope it will be a happy ending. I have not watch Oath of Love, so can't comment on that.

But I am here, supporting Xu Kai!!! Looking forward to seeing more of his dramas <3 <3 He really owned the show in the drama's I've seen him. I am currently getting my friend to watch ALP, after he's done watching 'The Legends', so hopefully he will watch ALP after that, since he said he will lol. By the time he's finished with The Legends, all the subs to ALP will be out XD
