I think the stone only will work in cancelling out the 'seven stars soul seal', if FY didn't lost that final star he would have been saved from the power of the stone.
But just as the name suggests, I see that it is a seal to keep Jing Yuan from awakening, and for FY case, he needs to "die" for Jing Yuan to awaken.
Although on my side, I hope when Jing Yuan is awaken, he still carry traits of FY that I love(with their current memories as well).
so far we've only seen scenes of god arc from their past life....Do we have any spoilers or pics from their current…
I think if you see FY in Jing Yuan form with BS(Xing Yue) in purple that would be in their current life
E.g. the scene in the intro(opening) at 1.02 minutes from the opening song where there's that quote from Jing Yuan saying "I only wish to stay with the one I love, watching every sunset and sunrise, I want to be with you forever". That's just one of the many few scenes I noticed

Chong Zhao never cared for Bai Shuo feelings and what she wanted. He only considered his own feelings and what he felt was right.
He hid his identity from her yes was because he promised his master that he needs to keep their identity a secret, but can he not put in a word or two to his master and let her study in Lanling. But you know what considering Lan Ling is a bunch of hypocrites, I am glad Bai Shuo didn't study under them.
And the ML Fan Yue didnt just sit on the sideline and watch. While Chong Zhao trapped her inside a barrier in the temple to "protect" her, this was against her feelings because she wanted to help her father and the towns people, Fan Yue did helped stabilize the condition by giving her the temporary antidote. And when her father sent her away in the carriage it was also FY who helped teleport her to the scene so she can go save her father. And while CZ and Lanling was standing in her way when she wanted to go to her father, it was Fan Yue again who held those Lanling and CZ off so she can go to save her father.
The difference between CZ and FY is...for CZ, he never once considered BS feelings and what she wanted. He made those decisions for her without asking if this is what she wanted. FY on the otherhand respect her feelings and decisions and he actually believes in her that she can handle this herself etc. If I was BS, I would choose FY over CZ on my end.

Yeah when it comes to expressing and confession, Tian Qi is always more upfront with his feelings when compared to Bai Jue who have it all bottled up in him, but Shang Gu was the only one who can thaw that ice in him.
I think you can look at the comparison between Tian Qi and Bai Jue, both being true gods and their methods to protect the person they love is different.
Tian Qi will sacrifice the lower realms to protect the woman he loves from sacrificing herself for the peace and protection of the lower realms. Tian Qi original intention was even if the three lower realms was gone, they can just rebuild it but if Shang Gu is gone, then that will be the end of it. Tian Qi chose the woman he loves over the three realms.
Bai Jue will go through that extent to master the chaos power by having Qing Mu be his vessel to collect the demonic energy so he can merge it to form chaos so he can replace Shang Gu from sacrificing himself to protect her and the peace of the three realms. Bai Jue chose both the protection of the three realms and Shang Gu.
In the long run they both want the same thing, and that is to protect Shang Gu from sacrificing himself but they both have taken different paths to achieve the end result.
Personally for me, I wouldn't mind the ML leaving behind the responsibility of protecting the three realms for once. I would like to see ML free to love the woman he loves. I felt if there's someone Tian Qi really loves, he wouldn't mind living in seclusion with the woman he loves. Just like what Fan Yue said to Bai Shuo that, Demon King, Demon God, he didn't care any of that, he just want to be with the woman he loves. I think it is this comparison where it shows him expressing this makes me love him better on my end.
I mean I do love Bai Jue too, and I know that since Bai Jue was raised strictly by the ancestral gods, he will always carry that responsibility of the considering the protection/peace of the lower realms etc.
Yuan Qi in his own story didn't want to regain his True God status because he knows if he did he cannot live the carefree life he wants anymore (as we can see what happened after he got his God powers back).
Bai Jue is known as the God of War so naturally he will be stronger.
