I was actually following The Blossoming Love at the same time as this drama, but I kinda stopped when they made MXL "died". I just felt like the story lost its touched when the 2ML in that drama went crazy and obssessive... the whole immortal arc didnt appeal to me as well so I thought I will just watch it when it finish with the episode release. But from the sound of things, I felt like I will be disappointed with The Blossoming Love ending too...

I left The Blossoming Love on hold because my mind cannot stop thinking about MM.

For MM, I really hope we get a proper ending that they have filmed and IS INCLUDED in MM ending because honestly we NEED this for our sanity!! 😭😭

I get why fans want some form of connection back to the original story too. Since that is where their backstory started.

But from the writing perspective, for fans who never got exposed to their backstory and watch this as a standalone, they probably dont want to see Jing Yuan(Tian Qi) loving someone else in the past and Xing Yue(Yue Mi) being hurt by this unrequited love in the process.

To me, the change has its pros and cons. The change was done better for Tian Qi for me but cant say the same for Yuemi with what was portrayed in their backstory revealed as Xing Yue and Jing Yuan in the past. But I want to believe she did that because she wanted to protect Jing Yuan from the danger on her side in the past.

It is true that MM when compared to TLI has the least connection to ALP which is somewhat sad for fans and I get that, but in the end, I guess we can just take this like a standalone.

For me if the change is to my preference, I don't mind the change.

Novel or ALP fans know that this is a representation to the original characters but we can take this like an alternate universe(drama adaptation etc), that's what I did anyway when I said I took it as a standalone drama.

If there's one thing I didn't like about the english translation is they translate Jing Yuan as "Demon Lord" instead of "Demon God", when to me, when they said "妖神", that is Demon God, not Demon Lord.

Recently I told my online friend that there is only 10 (obviously it is 7 now) more episodes remaining and how I will be sad once the drama ends because I don't want to say goodbye to this drama 🥹🥹 my friend replied back to my message in another thread saying he can tell that I am obsess into this drama at the moment(because yeah, literally my facebook is all on this drama reblogs of clips etc), he said he is awaiting my acknowledgement once the drama ends before watching it.

I am like "I already acknowledged"(but haven't told him this yet) but it is true that the ending at the end will play a big part in my overall feelings!!!".

My friend wanted to wait until this drama ended before watching this to avoid chasing the episodes. I really want to recommend this drama to my friend to watch this and I am sure he will ask me how the ending will be like!!

So IQIYI.... please for the life of our sanity, give us and our favourite main cp the happy ever after and a safisfying ending, where I can tell my friend "it's all good you can watch!"

Fan Yue(Jing Yuan) and Bai Shuo(Xing Yue) really deserves this happy ending!!!

They need that happy ending in this current life time!!!
