But the amount of times I saw others minsterpreted FL is Female Lead instead of Fu Ling and when I read their response to the original person asking about FL(Fu Ling), I can't 🥲😅

I said the same thing that it is hard for her character to redeem herself for me since I also disliked and hated what she did to BS and when she spread the plague.

However in the end it is a matter if you can forgive her or not

For me, up to the recent episode that was released, I didn't think I will come to like her on my end but I did. So, without spoiling the story for you, just take it at your own pace and see for yourself for her character later.

From my side, I am not whitewashing her crimes or excusing it, however, I can forgive a character (depending what I am seeing) as long as the character can show me they are sorry and regretful, I do think they deserve a second chance though

I am pretty sure that 99% of the people in here when they used "FL", they meant Fu Ling and not Female Lead, so maybe others who reply to people who used "FL" should take a moment to read the question and not take "FL" as Female Lead instead of Fu Ling.

I think I've encountered a few where the replies may lead to misunderstanding for people asking the question...

I mean I was chasing this drama at the same time with The Blossoming Love(TBL), but TBL didn't make me feel the same as what MM is doing to me.

It's not healthy but it shows what a good drama can do to us! I truly wish the remaining episodes will NOT disappoint us in the end 🤞🤞

In xianxia, I don't want a love story where the ML have to shoulder that responsibility in choosing to either protect the three realms or the woman he loves

I want a love story where the ML choose to put the woman he loves above the 3 realms(or how many ever realms there is). I guess this is why Fan Yue and Bai Shuo love story appeal to me so much, because I see this as a breakthrough to the overused plot of choosing to protect the three realms and carrying that burden on your shoulder and cannot love freely the way you would want to without those responsibilities.

If there's one thing they stayed true to Tian Qi's character is, Tian Qi is someone who will choose to protect the woman he loves first before the three realms. He would go that far to just protect that one person.

But if I am going to say something about this in MM is that I am glad that we get to see that this is being directed at someone like Bai Shuo who can return his love equally. He deserves to be love. They both deserve their happy ever after at the end of all this.

Just like how the intro have this quote: "I only wish to stay with the one I love, watching every sunrise and sunset. I want to be with you forever".

Whether as Tianqi or as Fan Yue/Jing Yuan(in MM), he is really a romantic person in my eyes, where he will continue to protect the woman he loves above anything else. I honestly love his love for Bai Shuo/Xing Yue.

P.S. I am not saying this to belittle Bai Jue love for Shang Gu and Yuanqi's love for Feng Yin, but the difference I saw in terms of romance portrayed is that both Bai Jue and Yuan Qi love is shouldered with responsibility of considering the well being of the three realms as seen in their respective story whereas for Fan Yue(I believe Jing Yuan feels the same), just only wants to be with the woman(Bai Shuo/Xing Yue) he loves, just something this simple can be quite romantic and deep in a more meaningful way IMO
