This is Xianxia, so sadness is inevitable. In fact, I would even say we got more romance and comedy than we imagined. This doesn’t happen in Xianxia at all. So, I think when the angst comes, I would be able to take it cos I know their love is strong.

It’s okay, many people don’t like SOKP.

Ohhhhh…I have watched so many Xianxia. It has actually been long since anyone hooked me this tightly was Back from the Brink. The leads were pretty much devoted to each other and it was kinda funny.

LYF was good until it stopped being good. I do not like the fact I was getting not just second lead syndrome but third…I don’t usually have syndromes😂😂😂😂 I also hated who she ended up with. He didn’t do it for me in terms of acting and emotions. I feel it was pity love.

I hope so too. Not been this crazy about a drama since SOKP.

I also think so. I think she would understand when it is too late and offer up a solution to kinda help SJ. That is why I said she shouldn't just waltz back without retribution cos she was playing both sides when she actually shouldn't.

Hei Nianjiu annoyed me from the time he was swooning after Ruling after she took his heart. Uhhhmmm... Mr. Snake, I would be weary of anyone who is brave and strong enough to take my heart

Same. The communication is definitely the best part for me. Even though she doesn't know his full plans, she at least knows he is on a revenge mission. And she doesn't try to guilt-trip him with the whole righteous nonsense. You want to go dark? I will go with you. Don't just make me kill and let me have all the fun, cos this is a long vacation for me. The Ml also didn't deviate from his mission, and balanced loving up with his plan.

You get. How do you hear your master was attacked and his on the run, and your next reaction is where to sleep? That Snake literally knows how much SJ suffered and how far the 8 palaces will go to destroy him, and he didn't run mad with fear for his master's life.

They really did his character dirty!

This is why I feel they did wrong to his character. Dogs even protect you from things you can not see. SMH.

No one is saying she shouldn't save her clan, but she should go about it the right way. Her approach is clearly wrong, especially if we consider a few things:

- Sima Jiao has done nothing to her or her clan.
- The people she is teaming up with her the villains, and she knows this, making her decision worse.
- The people she is betraying her people she calls her friends. We can argue she met them recently. However, you can't deny the fact that they care for her, especially Mr. Snake. And if she wanna use them? She should go about it it the right way not team against them.

Her approach amkes her whole revenge seems so superficial whith everyone calling her an hypocrite (which she is). Do you know how bad that is? Many of the viewers don't care about her fight or wish for it to go well. They just want her gone. Yes, it is that bad. And the biggest victim? Apart from LTY and SJ, it is the Snake who trusted her wholeheartedly.

He is also gullible but I won't go into details about that since he annoys me more than Ruling ATP.

In Xianxia in general. They always avoid such intense scenes like hot potato. I am happy they did give us intense here and with actors I pretty much like.

He shouldn’t make it. How much stupidity can we take? I get he his innocent but he shouldn’t be gullible. Like he lived with the ML long enough to understand the human mind is unpredictable and he decides to just wear his heart on his sleeves. I am not against him like Ruling, but there should be a sense of awareness.

The production really didn’t do this bit well.

She is actually a pretty good actress. Watch her in I am Nobody.

The way everyone was drooling over the snake and my sixth sense sniffed him immediately. Was he cute? Yes. However, I hated how fast he moved to Ruling’s side with just one encounter. I would even be skeptical about someone who is able to take my Snake heart, making me vulnerable. However, he decided to jump to her and even stay away from his master. How fickle.

I knew I was going to dislike her from the beginning. I just didn’t know she would be really stupid. I wouldn’t even be angry if she goes all out like her sister. However, I hate the rat behavior. 🚮

This. The sister moved toward what she wanted, including planning the attack against FL. Ruling just acts like a rat, and they are the worst type of people.

No, seriously, Kudos! This is what I have been looking for in a Xianxia. If you are going to give us Angst, let it come with a dose of sweetness. Not Angst all through and when it is time to calm down, you hit us with bigger storms.

Also, he is a very believable character. Same thing with her. They don’t pretend to be what they are not.

Like? I knew she would annoy me from the beginning, I never knew it would be this bad. If you wanna kill Sima, you need to get behind the celestial folks. However, if you want to revenge for your people, get behind Team Sima. She clearly doesn’t know what she wants, making it hard to even empathize with her.

What makes me angry is that since she is the SFL and she prolly one of the mains, the show runners will whitewash her redemption. Like, they would put it in our face. After acting like a rat for so many episodes, they will just have her sneak back in to LTY’s camp. I want them to keep her the way she is already so she gets her retribution. Or if they actually give her a redemption, let it come with a bit of retribution. She can’t just jump around and waltz back. Or they make LTY cut her off for good. My girl does not deserve such friend.

I don’t know whether to pity you or laugh at you. I purposely didn’t watch the whole of Ep 13 (only watched the first half), leaving it for when I am eating dinner tonight and continue one to Ep 14.

11: It is one of those wholesome episodes. I enjoyed their conversation about the truth spell. Arthur Chen really brought the emotions cos I could feel what he was feeling when she told him how uncomfortable the truth spell makes her. You could see how he finds it ridiculous that he is doing that, but can't help it, cos he needs to know the truth. However, he still feels he shouldn't have done it. His acting there was so good. They didn't make him stoic and just sit to listen; instead, he dropped his head like 3 times, scoffed, looked at her...it was a myriad of expressions.

As much as I understand her, it was fun hearing her say the truth. Haha...how did that young man with a receding hairline think we would believe he ain't in his 50s.

12: Uhhhhmmm...what can I say? I dreaded watching this one cos I knew what was coming. Though I feel sad for Yan Huan, I think it is good that he killed himself. Sometimes, release is the best option. He is a ticking time bomb. If they stop him now, there is a high chance he would do it again in the future, and they won't be there to at least help or talk some sense into him.

Shi Qianlv is an animal. I need his retribution to hit him hard. I cried when Grandmaster came out of the mountain, bloodied. And his convo with Ting Yan. Ruling needs to go. Same with Snake. I never liked him, tbh.

Lol. The drama slump is so crazy for me right now. This drama came to shine the light on me. It ticked all the boxes.
- Fantasy costume drama
- Comedy
- Witty dialogues
- FL that I can actually enjoy (she doesn't need to be a strong FL)
- Powerful ML that is actually powerful
- Leads with great chemistry
- Sensual scenes, especially in this genre (it is hard to get good romance)

There are more, but these are the ones I can think of right now.
