Title Bad Buddy Spoiler
I want Season 2 and a marriage proposal!!! All that talk towards the end (from other characters, not Pat/Pran) about their girlfriends, engagements, etc... is making me want to see Pat make some stupid over the top sweet marriage proposal and then see the parent choke on it! Who's with me???

I think the parents did not know in the beginning, but they are their kids .... You know your child, and how they…

I think I'm that lone guy who doesn't get it. I thought this was one of the best things I've ever seen up to Ep…
I mean, two people having a normal relationship isn't fan service. It's not like Pat came out of the bedroom with nipple twisters on and Pran wore a garter belt and maid outfit. They just acted like normal people. Have you never been in a relationship before??? Normal couples have sweet couple moments. I don't like or want over the top drama. I want to see normal people dealing with normal issues in a healthy way and having a normal amount of romance. That is not fan service.

If this is the best GMMTV has ever produced, it didn’t set the bar high anyway. If it is GMMTV, it must be fan…
You are entitled to your own opinion, but clearly most other people don't share your opinion. Good luck!

Personally I think episode 5 is the best of the worst for what this season has been so far, which isn't exactly…
So true! Also, he always makes me think of a line from my favorite teen movie, "10 Things I Hate About You." All of the boys are obsessed with Larisa Oleynik's character and Heath Ledger's character asks, "what's up with this girl? Does she have beer-flavored nipples???" Same question! Why are all of these guys fighting over Wayu??? He's sooooo boring!

I completely agree with you. As a criminal justice major, I am constantly exposed to a variety of situations involving…
well, obviously some people will say yes we should avoid these things in real life if they are triggering for other people. however this is a television series, presumably people are choosing to watch it and not having it forced upon them. you mentioned that this is set in a mafia setting which is true, at the same time just because it's set in a criminal setting, morality doesn't get thrown out the window. people are still making moral choices, and if the choices that they make are awful enough, they may become unforgivable. I recognize that when all of the characters are criminals the viewer has a tendency to look at some of the more basic criminal acts as being not that big of a deal, such as possibly selling drugs or using violence to force people to pay money, but at the same time if we are going to connect with these characters and care about their romance, they still have to be accountable for their actions to some extent

I agree with every word here! I am frankly not that big of a fan of BL, I only watched few more popular ones like…
I am looking forward to the series as well! I hope that they deal with these topics with finesse, showing them as awful brutal things that really do happen and hopefully the consequences of those actions are also addressed

Regarding potentially problematic elements of KinnPorsche:

Stories can have problematic elements, but it is the director's responsibility to contextualize them. For example, as another commenter mentioned, sexual assault happens in real life. However, most of us recognize that sexual assault is morally and criminally wrong and we would expect it to be shown as something wrong in the story. A great example of how this was done *wrong* is Addicted. The whole kidnapping thing is shown as a cute quirk based in love and not the huge violation that it truly is. Or, Ohm and Toey's characters in Make It Right, their relationship starts with what is essentially a rape scene, to the point where Ohm has to take Toey to the hospital the next day because his anus is bleeding. This is presented as a sweet moment in a flashback with cute music playing in the same episode.

The best directors don't shy away from depicting real-world issues that can be very triggering for people, however, they do have a responsibility to show that these things are in fact wrong. The characters should show remorse, other characters should be angry or hold a grudge or be traumatized. BLs in the past have had a bad habit of showing *potentially* problematic scenes and completely ignoring the need to contextualize these scenes and show the viewers that we are supposed to feel conflicted. We can still like people who do problematic things, but we should have to wrestle with our own consciences, and figure out, has this character gone too far for us to still support them? Sometimes characters do things that are unforgiveable, and that can be appropriate as well.

Stories that involve crime, sexual assault, social problems like poverty, etc... should be shown in media, even in stories with heavy romantic elements, as KinnPorsche will undoubtedly have. However, what I will be looking for is to make sure that director (Uncle Tong from Bad Buddy!!! Who knew???) shows us these scenes in a way that makes us understand that these things require us to make a moral judgement. The director should not present these things in a way that makes us think the director sees them as normal or no big deal. The best media require us to care about complicated characters and, to some extent, take on their moral choices as our own. What would we do in that situation?

That is what I want to see in this series, and I hope it delivers, because I have been waiting a looooong time!

Ep 2 wasn’t good like the first one. It was slow and it was not interesting
I liked both! But I agree, the 2nd episode was more split between the 3 couples, and it did feel slower.

I'm pretty torn on the first episode. The line delivery at times is... Really forced. Mainly when speaking English.…
The delivery on the mandarin was not very good either, although, since they were supposed to be speaking it as a second/third language, that makes sense.

I did not have high expectations for this series, but the first episode was actually really enjoyable! Art and Mikey are completely adorable, the pacing is good (I hate BLs where it takes 5 episodes for anything to happen), the music was good, it all gave me a musical theatre vibe (especially the over-acting, that is sooo musical theater). Obviously, there were parts where the quality wasn't as good (some of the acting is low quality), but it all worked for me. I grew up in the era of low-budget, queer short films, so I am happy to excuse some bad acting as long as the overall product works, and, to be honest, I just really liked this episode! I can't wait for ep2!

I honestly wanted to smack White too when he was justifying capitalism, I felt exactly like Gram lol
Seriously, your brother is a leader in an anarchist collective that is fighting against privilege and power and then you start apologizing for capitalism and don't think your friends are going to be suspicious??? C'mon, White!

I think it's 100% him, we will see.
I can see it, but at the same time, why is he going through the charade of "helping" White???
He could have just never said anything to White at all.
