I’m not convinced that JDT stabbed BR in the head with the trophy wing. The reveals in episode 10 doesn’t…
To make what we saw in episode 10 more plausible is that: - JDT was near the scene, hence why and how EB heard the ringtone. - JDT freaked out at the sight of blood and in order to cover up his trauma, needed a change of clothes and CCTV erasing.
Whether this was pre or post BR’s head stabbed, remains to be seen because I feel like there’s another side to this we’ve not seen yet!
I’m not convinced that JDT stabbed BR in the head with the trophy wing. The reveals in episode 10 doesn’t match up with how JDT acted before:
1) JDT had to ask the twins whose necklace it was. If he saw EB that night, why would he need Secretary Do to do detective work to find out/ corroborate who pushed BR down the stairs?
2) JDT’s blood trauma is inconsistent- he didn’t freak out this time round when he stabbed BR and ended up so calm? I’d believe it more if he stabbed BR out of being triggered by blood.
3) JDT has no empathy for anyone or his kids- I’m not persuaded at all that he would go as far as to kill BR for his daughter. Sure it’s tiny more plausible that he doesn’t like the “poor people” to win but not for his daughters sake?
4) I swear I’m all the flashbacks, even when the adults went to the lockers at night, the trophy had TWO wings fully attached. How on earth did the wing end up on the stairs with BR? I doubt this is a mistake considering how immensely detailed the production team have been.
5) It makes “too much sense”- like it’s too convenient how it all leads to JDT being the culprit. I have no doubt he turned off BR’s ventilator in the hospital however.
So... either we are being shown ‘one’ version of events or the real culprit is someone else. I did think of Seok Gyung as she went in just before the confrontation started between EB & BR but would JDT go so far to cover this up?
Following the Penthouse worldview, I just don’t trust what we see at first- the culprits are never straightforward...
No. Pretty sure or hope it will now be about the wives and kids finding happiness. Plus the doctors wife hasn't…
ha yeah my comment was made way before they started going into flashbacks and ended on that horrible cliffhanger. honestly i don't have high expectations, i'm not sure if they want to write the women finding happiness- all we've seen is the mistresses and the husbands being in romanticised situations!
Hi! Actually I've only pick up this series to support them after hearing what happened too & only watched their…
oh brilliant, thank you for the link- that's super useful! i've watched the first two episodes, so technically i could brace through 4 x episodes to get to episode 7.
however i wasn't sure whether it's worth going through uncomfortably and having to go through a strange viewer's experience of casting changes.
i've also heard how people are enjoying NIW's acting and actually adding to the series! how are you finding the series so far?
can you get away with watching this series from Episode 7 onwards with Na In Woo or would you recommend watching…
i was waiting to binge-watch this but then the ji soo situation happened, and now i'm interested to see Na In Woo! (although I'm wary i might miss out on some story details...)
Does anyone know why the osts aren't available on Spotify??!!
i know 95% of korean artists' music & kpop was taken off as spotify and kakao had to negotiate contracts about music. however i think they've come to an agreement, so maybe it's taking some time for the OSTs to appear?
can you get away with watching this series from Episode 7 onwards with Na In Woo or would you recommend watching from the start? how's the experience watching a ML change?
scrub through the credits of the final episode and past the musical montage. the show asks us to 'please look forward to season 2. it will exceed our expectations'.
i think its ssr because how did ae gyo know about logan ?
my thoughts exactly! unless ae gyo and SSR had a meet up, which frankly is too convenient with the timing of SSR's 'death' at the end of season 1.
also the show has done a lot to emphasise how different ae gyo and SSR are, so i doubt it's a 'mistake' in characterisation that ae gyo is starting to show compassion. ie. the way it was edited in the preview how she would tear up seeing the twins.
it's slightly plausible that she may have a strong blood tie to SSR, but it's more likely that it's SSR pretending.
Daebak, based on next episode preview it seems like it is really Soo Ryun and the one who died in season 1 was…
I’m convinced it’s SSR too- my impression is that Na Aegyo had little to no maternal desire so didn’t want to raise her kids up. I doubt she would start to tear up seeing the twins. Also the show has made extra effort to show how different they both are, so Im inclined to think Na Aegyo wouldn’t have a compassionate bone in her body lol.
JDT must have gone through some horrific trauma and likely to be beaten up as a child or witnessed abuse/ gone through both. Not justifying his behaviour at all but he must’ve been desperate to tackle his trauma and projected in not wanting to be like the abuser he faced. However it’s backfired and he’s become the person he never wanted to be. I hope they go through more into how he became JDT we know because his background is the only one shrouded in complete mystery so far!
I feel like I’m this show, redemption and revenge comes at a price. So I wonder what it would cost for CSJ to kill or take revenge against JDT? Itll be interesting to see what the aftermath is, once JDT the big bad is taken down.
Also agree on OYH and MR friendship- like mother like daughters!
I know some crazy things have already happened in this season, but I can’t help but think this is a slow build up to season 3. It’s the calm before the storm and I reckon the pieces are coming together into an epic third act.
As much as HYC frustrates me, the way he and CSJ are drawn back together kinda makes sense. A fling vs. A more stable relationship. Well as stable as the penthouse offers ha
