This winter theme drama is perfect since winter is coming where I'm living too and whenever ML and FL gets closer to each other, I feel warmer just by watching them. Joseph muscular body is such an eye treat 🥰
I need another Li Landi's drama pronto! She has so much potential, I hope she gets bigger projects soon and more recognitions. I want her to pair up with all the handsome popular actors to create more sparks! I guess I'm what they call her career fan? Serious girl crush on her lol
Same, it is just not the same. Plus dramas with this type of ending tend to linger even longer with "what ifs".
Right. I keep thinking if only WZ just knock JC unconscious when he first found her up on that tree then maybe JC wouldn't have to suffer so much. And then theres what if Prince Qi was alive and JC would've grew up as a princess while everyone would be alive scenario and what if WZ had just been honest to JC earlier and ask her to help him find her Shifu and together they join hands in finding out the truth. What if they got married in YueLou and WZ was able to learn shes pregnant... Any of those things wouldve make a huge difference and it wouldn't make me love this drama any less.
My first impression is I think Ren Min look much prettier here but ZWY still look the same as when he was in LYF and AYTO. They don't even bother to get him a slightly different hairstyle than the previous two and his characters didn't seem to change much either. When I fast forward, it means im bored and this one just doesn't stand out in any way plus a false brother-sister turn to lover relationships isn't all that thrilling, in fact quite off putting.
Not gonna waste my time following with this drama, maybe I will come back to binge after this finish airing tho.
I'm liking the visuals of this drama so far and Joseph is always such a cutie hero in wuxia.
With c-dramas, I've learned that its more about the journey, not the ending. Being only a 32 episodes drama, this means that they won't unnecessarily drag things out either.
Actually, now is perfect time to rewatch The Starry Love. If Love of Nirvana gets you down, Li Landi's TSL will cheer you right back up. I almost forgot how much laughter each episode brings. My stomach about to explode all over again lol. Its still one of a kind for sure.
If you want to continue the angst, then Li Landi's Angel Falls Sometimes is another touching masterpiece. I think most RJL's dramas are angsty already, so you have a huge selection there too.
If you have watch all you can from LLD and RJL list, then I suggest watching dramas from their future co-stars like Ao Rui Peng who will be with LLD in Coroner's Diary and Tan Jian Ci who will be with her in Filter.
Episode 5 in and I seriously don't like how ML is treating FL. I don't care if SML is using FL as bait, but if…
Lol who said it was fast? Romance is very slow burn. FL didn't realize she was in love until episode 27. Before that, only reason she forgave him for all the harm hes done to her was because she came to an understanding that all of his scheming was for a meaningful cause to the point where his people was willing to sacrifice themselves for him so he can achieve it. Likewise, ML also wanted to protect his people, so when it comes down to a girl he just met who ruin his plans time and time again and jeopardize his comrades' life, he of course was ruthless. But later he also came to understand how gentle, kind and loyal the FL is although she was also naive about politics, so they have a truce. He goes all out on saving her life whenever shes in danger from that point on. Through many cases together, they start developing their bonds and feelings for each other.
Same. I'm rewatching LoN while trying to ween off it at the same time by watching other dramas. Still end up coming…
Lol as long as the story plot is good with great chemistry between the leads, I dont care so much about endings anymore.
Started LoN hoping for a HE while there had been many hints of SE but I continued on anyway. I still dont regret watching it because I love Li Landi and RJL acting so much here.
You just gotta prepared ur heart for the wringer though. And if theyre good enough to make me cry its one of the best stress relief
Guys.. wht u wtching.. i try wtch other drama.. but couldnt stay long.. coz my heart still here 😢😢😢 xiao…
Same. I'm rewatching LoN while trying to ween off it at the same time by watching other dramas. Still end up coming back here though lol.
Tried Love in the Desert - its sexy and charming but the lighting/color filter they use really hurts my eyes. I'm following it but not so hooked.
I'm giving Dashing Youth a chance. Originally didnt feel like watching the prequel of Blood of Youth because give me a headache to remember all the older characters with their younger version but starting off with a fresh mind does the trick
Meanwhile awaiting Snowy Nights to air. I like watching Joseph Zhang, hes such an eye candy. His drama will probably be my main focus for the next month or so if it starts strong.
TBH, despite the ending the way it is, for me I still find this drama to have very high rewatch value. I have been rewatching the drama mainly from Ep 1-39 cuz I miss our couple (skip Ep 40 bc hurt too damn much lol). Acting, story, OSTs everything is great, especially the slow transition from enemies to lovers (even from rivals to besties) was very well done with the best I've seen so far in drama land.
RJL has really made a breakthrough in his acting here, his facial expression has gotten much more stable, much better control with his emotions and the eyes plus micro expressions is just to die for. I've watch many of his dramas before, but never thought he was particularly appealing or as genuine until now.
I hope to remind people to not rate a drama low just because they have a SE or BE. That would not be fair to the actors whos just following the scripts that were given but still manage to make it their best roles yet.
Me listening to Love of Nirvana OST and bawling my eyes out thinking about the ending. Especially the lyrics of 寻常 (Ordinary) sung by Liu Yu Ning and å‹¿ (Do Not) just heart-wrenchingly made the pain deeper.... I can't stop crying... 💔ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
The ending is beyond disappointing, not to mention illogical. Now why would WZ after spending his night married to his beloved wife JC, decided against all possibility of escape, leaving her behind, a widow all alone? This is so out of character.
I guess from here on, a HE can only exist In my imaginations and fanfics....
This is why I love Li Landi. She can portray any emotions so genuinely and she always brings the very best out of her male co-star. RJL had never seem so appealing to me more in his other drama than compare to this one with Landi. I can't stop watching her and both of them. Chemistry amazing.
No one was supposed to know that Wei Zhao was Xiao Wuxia in Yueluo but his subordinates and all of them are loyal…
Right. Its a possibility. I feel ZW was always reluctant about doing something he has a bad feeling about or know he might regret it later such as in the case with luring JC's Shifu to YueLou and going with Madam Rong's plan. And Mr. Ping was always there to push and pressure him with the whole YueLou and his dad.
Not gonna waste my time following with this drama, maybe I will come back to binge after this finish airing tho.
Miss JC and WZ so much... this is gonna be a tough withdrawal...

The first drama ending that make me feel like I got stab in the heart for real becuz of how angsty the journey was. 💔
