Clearly, jealousy and all the authority/power trip gone to his head. He really **** up big time now with XY. Hence the title of this drama, one way or another, everyone loses someone forever lol
Me also like this actress. Shes like this nice, gentle older sister with always that sensible voice of reason and rationality. Also remind me of my eldest auntie.
Two powerful actresses in their own rights played the two main lead roles here. There's just so many layers in these characters who are opposites of each other, never truly evil, and they did an amazing job in showcasing all levels of complicated mixed bag of emotions. It totally slay
Korean seem to always draws the best out of contemporary dramas. Initially, I didn't think I would enjoy this drama, it was just out of curiosity for one of KHS highest rated drama after Faith but I couldn't stop watching after the first. Revenge theme are also compelling, once you start watching you just have to keep going to find out how the bad guys get their just karma and retributions.
"some"??it was a clear sign of his obsession tbh. He even rent out a whole new place so that he can keep that…
Lol you're right. Maybe I'm kinda bias toward Lin Geng Xin a little because I rarely see him played a bad role. If it was any other actor who play this character, I would've thought it was much more creepy right off the bat
Generally, I like Lin Geng Xin on screen but not liking his character here despite hardworking, gentle and considerate at first but then turn into a money grubbing, paranoid and controlling husband. Though I think there were some red flags at the beginning when he kind of stalked her and does a bunch of stuff behind her back just so he can be near her. Nevertheless, he's still a good actor.
Considering none of the princes are married yet (I think), he could be the oldest.
I'm just going base off of back in S1, Xian En said that YQM was "together with Nanqing's prince before he became the current Emperor and had a child". And there were also some flashbacks moments between the 3 old guys namely Emperor, Chen Ping Ping, Fan Jian and YQM when they were young fishing before that.
They're not related on the drama. In the novel they were indeed cousins, but in ancient China it was acceptable…
Now that makes alot of sense. Emperor and the dads probably also wants to give FX power and a happy life at the same time without getting him involve in the throne wars. Ironic how hes still risking his life either way but I guess if he was formally acknowledge as a prince it would probably be way worst.

I was thinking FX could be the oldest too because why would his mother fall for someone who already has multiple wives and kids? I would think YQM has a modern woman mindset. Not to mention she known the emperor as a young prince so she was with him before other women came to his life.

Thanks everyone for elaborating further. Of course, I understand that marrying cousins is a practice done throughout history around the world in certain countries. Its just I wasn't sure which logic the world of this drama go by. Because it seem to me all the princes sees Wan er as the younger sister in the family even when Emperor said the one that marry her get all these benefits, it didnt seem like any of them were interested enough to woo her. Then we found out Fan Xian is the brother to these princes... hence I wondered, hope that make sense
Something fun to think about, if FX gets instated as prince later on... so what # prince will he be in the order of princes?
Maybe novel readers already knows the answer. Boy I cant wait to see each of their reactions especially Crown and 2nd prince when the secret get reveal lol
I think the plot hole of this drama is if Gwi Joo was the one who save Da Hae from the fire, how did she survive in the first timeline before actually meeting GJ, before he was able to go back in time to actually save her? Like if she never survives the fire and died to begin with, all things that follow will never happen.
I just thought of something, Fan Xian's true identity is the emperor's son, so he and Wan-er are cousins. The emperor knows this and still grant their marriage? I think I still haven't really recalled some details from the first season.
With this type of drama, I hope the brother won't start developing romantic feelings for his fake sister who has his real sister's face. Cuz that kinda thing always weird me out even though they not blood related. You don't always need a love triangle to make a drama good. Director, please keep it platonic, keep it pure!
