This drama make me impatiently wait for each episode more so than compared to all the other drama currently airing right now like the two Chinese Paladins and other contemporary series.
I think ML acting still needs work (obviously, cuz this is one of his first main roles) but FL quirky acting more than make up for it and both of them is very charming individually as well as together. This drama also has a very nice cast so its a treat to watch plus it has good pacing and it doesn't drag like the standard episode length drama. In fact, I think each episode is too short!
I really like the lead couple so far. Ju Jing Yi as well, her acting seems better and natural here. Linsha is witty, cute and outspoken without being overly annoying. She has some really good lines too. I like how she help and look out for innocent Tian He even though she has some ulterior motive herself. Hope she won't end up hurting him later though maybe likely will
it because they used A Jin power of chaos when he was cultivating that the only reason why the flute worked on…
I also think so, theres many ways to continue their story even if both of them had forgotten they love each other. Some big event or another would've made them remember each other or lead them to fall in love with each other again.
Though with the current plot, I didn't know if they had mention why they cannot use that flute on A YIN. I had to ask to make sense of it all or else it feels like theres a hole in the story.

Sorry I'm still confused... So you're telling me, the flute only works on Gu Jin because they use his natural power against him while hes weak. I get that.
But do you mean after they used the flute on Gu Jin, it no longer work to remove affection threads from anyone else beside him? or do you mean the flute originally does NOT work on other people, only Gu Jin?
Quick question, wonder if I had miss anything or if anyone can help me answer. So to prevent A Jin from continue to love A Yin, his Senior brother gave his Aunt the flute to remove affection threads from A Jin's conscious. Why did they not use the flute on A Yin as well? Wouldn't it be less trouble if they both don't feel love for each other and no one will be hurt?
For those who haven’t watched Zhao Lusi’s new year eve gala’s performance Here’s the link of the 2 songshttps://youtu.be/InzfTTCLPtIhttps://youtu.be/x-dWnYZpBF4
Thanks! Not sure if its the make-up, ZLS look much more mature recently. Even the way she carries herself seem to be different. Ofc more beautiful and graceful
I had wanted to comment that at beginning of Ep. 21, when Shisan gave the speech to Ruyi while she drink the broth about her relationship - doesn't it remind you alot of that scene between Rouxi and 13th Prince where he also gave her a hearty talk and she drinks while listening...? Such a bestie moment
Yes we need them in a Mature Xianxia, Like Ten Miles of Peach Blossom. None of that babbling baby talk... 😩🤮
Yes! When I say XianXia, I was thinking of them being a mature couple like this one. Something with refreshing plot with normal, reasonable human interaction and intellects (very rare in dramaland)
I don't mind them being in a modern drama either but I think with LYN's face irl (without the ancient hair and thick clothings) he would have to play a younger guy role while LSS will play an older working female role. I'm kinda tired of such drama...
I prefer them on equal footings and fighting alongside each other.
Good job killing all our favourite characters. Best screenwriter of the year goes to Zhang Wei. Adding this to…
Theres no shortage of such dramas this year (i.e. Starry Love, My Journey to you)
When watching chinese wuxia or xianxia dramas often enough, I guess you get used to endings not meeting your expectation or where writer vaguely left it up to our imaginations. Thus I learn to enjoy the journey more, and such ending is disappointing but doesnt hit me as hard nor take away from how good the overall drama is. Regardless its still a 10 in my book
Did YZ and RY really have no time at all to consummate their marriage? I was waiting the whole drama for their bedscene lol tho guess it won't happen since LSS is married irl
