It was a double touchdown for me in Episode 9 when GJS protect YR and then stated in front of the crowd that capable women runs his household and then later when he whip himself, to get the Wang to apologize to his wife. Seriously, he was way too dashing. Tbh at first I didn't think he fit someone who train in martial arts but glad the actor proves me wrong. Once again I am impress by BJT performance.
Viki is so behind. They should have subbed up to episode 16 by now. I got impatient and watched on another site.
Viki usually focus on quality and try to subbed true to original meaning as much as possible. They rarely subbed c-drama episodes as they come out. Most of the time it's k-drama episodes that get priority and 100% subbed within 24 hours after they aired. Ofcourse it also depends on popularity and the amount of subbers/editors.
Ep. 40: God the ppl from the 9 families are such assholes. It was unnecessary for them to create a rift between Yang Hao and Li Cu. I'm so annoyed Yang Hao fell for it so easily, like he always have trust issues with Li Cu but Li Cu never did anything before to betrayed that trust so why can't he believe him or at least ask him to clear it up. I really don't like Yang Hao character, he keep blaming LC for everything but dude LC didn't want you to come because he knows it's dangerous. He complains that he has a grandma to take care of but then insisted on coming anyway then when anything goes wrong its always LC's fault. 🤦♀️
Kinda sad this show won't have the kind of promotion like other drama. Even though it may be a melodrama, Li Landi just gain popularity from the hit drama TSL. They could at least put out a teaser or something. Her company not doing a very good job promoting her
If you never watch J-dramas before you might find the comedy a bit exaggerated but thats just how the language itself and Japanese skits are. Theres also a mixed of what they called kabuki comedy so its meant to be over dramatic. They just have a different sense of humor than other countries so it may take time getting use to.
I watched Gintama anime a long while ago so was interested to see how the live-action movie is. Boy, it did not disappoint, made me laugh so hard even though I already knew about Benizakura Arc beforehand. They did not shy away from dirty jokes like the anime, which I absolutely love. Not to mention Oguri Shun is one of the best Japanese actor out there.
I wouldve like that they pick someone else to play Hijikata Toshiro though
This is a cute, super fast-paced mini-drama. Its not the best out there but not the worst either. Theres some chemistry between main leads though I feel ML is the better actor out of the two. A lot parts seem exaggerated but I think it was intentional.
I dont understand, they obviously had s*x so why are their clothes still on afterward?! They don't even have to show skin, at least show the white layer of undergarment and take those dangly hair accessories off so it make more sense!
For those who are looking what to watch, i recommend Oh no here comes troubles! Its very different from Starry…
I had plan to watch this, just waiting for it to finish airing. AvenueX also recommended it.
She said the male lead resembles Yang Yang, Wang Yibo and Song WeiLong depending on expressions. He also has similar ugly cry like YQ in TSL. I think he has an interesting face too, so Lol I'm looking forward to watch it.
The original episodes that supposed to be aired are 60...and now theres only 40 episode which mean they cut off…
From what I heard, they can still split dramas into 2 or more seasons but the condition is they have to wait a few months in between. I think TTEOTM production crew worried in obtaining another air time slot plus the hype and its popularity will died down during the wait-time so they decided to cut it and pack as much as they can in a season.
IMO, I wouldn't have mind waiting if it means better editing and pacing, smooth transition of plots and more in-dept character side stories.
I feel bad for all the side and support characters in this drama. None of them lasted long, none of them had enough screen time smh. They should've split it into 2 seasons...
I only watched the first episode and I find its kinda weird when I read that theres no romance at all in this wuxia drama. Even though love should be a normal thing, when theres none at all I feel that its kinda out of place.
Is this like The Untamed with many bromance and some female-male relationships/couples on the side? Should I continue watching?
Another wonderful taiwanese classic that I watched a long time ago!
Yes, if only Jimmy Lin and Yoo Ha Na continue their pursuit in acting, I think they would've reach new heights by now. Though since they both chose to keep a lower profile and put family first, I respect that as well.
So I've watched this many long years ago, and the fact that it still left a strong impression on me should prove something.
Back then, I had read the entire manga series MARS and was thrill when they adapted it into a live-action drama. Although if you compare the manga to its drama version, there was some parts that were censored out (i.e. sex scenes and other dark scenes, normal with asian dramas) and FL is more babyfaced rather than voluptuous looking. BUT, the acting did not disappoint and the psychological trauma /deep emotions was still very well portrayed. They adapted and followed at least 90% of original manga.

It is definitely a classic worth watching.
Yike, months of filming get washed down the drain...
