I hope nobody is pissed at Jiang Ci leaving briefly btw... She is a simple person, he broke her trust, she wanted…
Me not at all! Actually wanted WZ to realize she was gone and to feel more regret. I'm kinda mad that he said that excuse about wanting her to stay when she found out he hid her clay cat. I mean, yes we the audience can see that he probably means what he said but we all know it was not the main motive. Later on, when she look back at this, she might feel like he was just trying to play with her feelings instead and what he said was not sincere. The feeling of betrayal will hit harder the more lies he spun now but of course thats the direction of this story
I honestly don’t understand how Jiang Ci hates Pei Yan so much now. You can see the distaste on her face around…
Its because on top of manipulating her, he also restricts her freedom. When he needs her in his schemes, he used and manipulated her into to doing his bidding and then when he don't need her to meddle in, he treated her like some fragile wallflower that should only be kept in his manor. Of course, JC understands his manipulation and still let him do it before because it was her way of repaying him for saving her life. But I think the main dealbreaker was how he handles Ayan's case and tried to help Pei clan cover up the injustice. I was furious when he gave out the verdict to married off Ayan to the bastard who rape her. And honestly, why would she not dislike him when he made several attempts to force himself on her (or force kiss her) when she clearly told him she wants to leave.
Li Landi look so beautiful here. Finally, a hairstylist that make her look even more stunning. It seem like shes gonna play an ice beauty role, different from all her previous characters. I can't wait! Love Li Landi!
I'm enjoying the process of them going from enemy trying to kill one another to being attracted and falling in love with each other so far. This is good pacing and genuinely thought out in a way that make sense.
Omg this got me so excited that this drama just drop! C-dramaland have been so lackluster lately that I switch to gaming. Finally, Li Landi is back and something to look forward to
The 💩 CX is spewing about Jing to FL is coming across ungrateful. Now that his butt is nice and warm on the…
Clearly, jealousy and all the authority/power trip gone to his head. He really **** up big time now with XY. Hence the title of this drama, one way or another, everyone loses someone forever lol
Me also like this actress. Shes like this nice, gentle older sister with always that sensible voice of reason and rationality. Also remind me of my eldest auntie.
Two powerful actresses in their own rights played the two main lead roles here. There's just so many layers in these characters who are opposites of each other, never truly evil, and they did an amazing job in showcasing all levels of complicated mixed bag of emotions. It totally slay
Korean seem to always draws the best out of contemporary dramas. Initially, I didn't think I would enjoy this drama, it was just out of curiosity for one of KHS highest rated drama after Faith but I couldn't stop watching after the first. Revenge theme are also compelling, once you start watching you just have to keep going to find out how the bad guys get their just karma and retributions.
"some"??it was a clear sign of his obsession tbh. He even rent out a whole new place so that he can keep that…
Lol you're right. Maybe I'm kinda bias toward Lin Geng Xin a little because I rarely see him played a bad role. If it was any other actor who play this character, I would've thought it was much more creepy right off the bat
Generally, I like Lin Geng Xin on screen but not liking his character here despite hardworking, gentle and considerate at first but then turn into a money grubbing, paranoid and controlling husband. Though I think there were some red flags at the beginning when he kind of stalked her and does a bunch of stuff behind her back just so he can be near her. Nevertheless, he's still a good actor.
Considering none of the princes are married yet (I think), he could be the oldest.
I'm just going base off of back in S1, Xian En said that YQM was "together with Nanqing's prince before he became the current Emperor and had a child". And there were also some flashbacks moments between the 3 old guys namely Emperor, Chen Ping Ping, Fan Jian and YQM when they were young fishing before that.
They're not related on the drama. In the novel they were indeed cousins, but in ancient China it was acceptable…
Now that makes alot of sense. Emperor and the dads probably also wants to give FX power and a happy life at the same time without getting him involve in the throne wars. Ironic how hes still risking his life either way but I guess if he was formally acknowledge as a prince it would probably be way worst.

I was thinking FX could be the oldest too because why would his mother fall for someone who already has multiple wives and kids? I would think YQM has a modern woman mindset. Not to mention she known the emperor as a young prince so she was with him before other women came to his life.
