The way I see it, LBY knows about love, at least compare to CSS who is completely clueless. He was willing to support her future with another man and whatever that makes her happy, which shows how mature he is with love. Now that he finally has her hand in marriage, he is eager to make a good impression ( to her and her family) to make her love him back. He realized she was unhappy with his sudden proposal, so he wanted to express his care and love for her even more, hoping to prove to her marrying him was the right decision and ofc to earn her affection, hence he overdid it and she felt overwhelmed.

Every marriage/couple has to go through an adjustment period and this is just the beginning. Through constant communication (whether good or bad), honesty and compromise, they will egt to know each other, find their middle ground and learn to love each other properly.

They should show the scene they mention that happens after he piggyback her to her room. He probably lovingly gaze at her sleeping face all night after he coaxes her to sleep while she latch on to him or something. Or maybe she threw up all over him lol He doesn't care how uncouth she is and still love her, god he's a keeper

Definitely unconventional roles, something new and refreshing that they never played before, but I also prefer both of them as a power couple, strong and passionate. I'm thinking "Mr. And Mrs. Smith" sort of theme lol Maybe a modern action spy or gang police drama?

I agree it's not, it's 3 lifetimes of falling in love and tragically hurting each other. Some might even say that's toxic. (Love and Redemption shows 10 different lifetimes of that too) Theyre total opposite, their romance burn fast and dies fast or we can call it flickering romance? Lol

I do hope there's a happy ending. I think I saw some hint in the trailer. Anyhow all this angstyness would kill me so I shall wait for it to finish airing.

Lol maybe because I'm currently influence by Love like the Galaxy's slice of life, slow burn romance that this drama seem overly tragic and melodramatic to me. Not saying its bad but plot and some characters are just kinda annoying to go through while I'm on the LLTG's wagon.

I'm so curious about CSS's eldest brother. He was mentioned many times, but don't know when he will show up. Maybe we will get to meet him in Lltg Part 2?

In recent years, Xianxia dramas seem to promote romance between gods/demons like in human worlds but this drama revert back to the old, "Love is forbidden between gods" rule. I feel this plot is a bit outdated and induced too many unnecessary heartache over an emotion that all living beings should have the right to have.

I think I will wait until this finish airing to continue.

I really thought their relationship would mend after they slapped the hell out of the Lou 's mother and daughter (they were a badass duo btw) but when she condemns CSS that badly in public, all that goes down the drain and everything is ruin...again. I don't know where the writer is going with her character, its all over the place. If you love your daughter, be consistent and unbiased, teach/reason with her properly and at least protect her feelings. At this rate I don't know if I can expect any development between them mother-daughter, its dragging.

Low-budget drama that is good and light-hearted. Nothing too bad nor anything that stands out. My only annoyance is the ending theme song, don't know if its just me. The singer's voice sounded so shaky that it gave me a headache. Is it bad singing or bad audio quality? I just didn't like it. Had to skip over to the next episode before that song play.

Feel like every tragic side story throughout this drama prepared us for an even bigger tragedy at the end. Well, not all good drama needs to have a happy ending and I enjoyed this.

So far I only found this drama (8 episodes out now) in Mandarin dubbed which is a killjoy. I like watching it in original Cantonese voice undubbed. Its a Hong Kong drama afterall. I'll wait for it to complete airing first before I start watching

I love the female lead! Yes, she is average looking but is cute and adorable and that's her charm. The only thing I wish they had done was gave her a better/normal queen hairstyle instead of the two weird buns in the front that's completely unlike the other palace females' hairstyles in the drama. I think she also had a similar hairstyle in Song of Youth.

Bao Shang En is a new actress. I've actually been expecting works from her and the other new actresses ever since I first saw them in China competition show Ace Actress. She's talented and I'm glad her acting career finally started as her first lead role in this drama. She must've been very excited, thru out the drama, she laugh and smile very naturally also when playing Pipa. You can see that she was having fun.

I can't get over the way the actress of Yang LiHua's hair looks. Her dyed brown hair look so out of place with the fake black hair that it bugs me in all her scenes. Idk if it's the stylist fault or her own notion but it just seem so unprofessional.
