this is not even the main poster the main poster will come soon. Plus the name if u see is genuinely very witty…
yeah the working title was "Human from today" iirc, this was the first casting project announced of her after LR, i was so looking forward to it since then...these days some kdramas be like asking interns of productions to name the English title lol

Haha most cdramas don't have resources to hire a professional writer to make an original script, but yeah i agree that original scripts have their own charms and TVOA should be considered as a somewhat good drama. but as long as any drama makes good handling of the story and performers & productions do great,I'm okay with adaptations.some of my fav cdramas are indeed adaptations.

I'm torn Between giving it a 8 or 8.5.
Actors did great in TVOA, veteran actors were fine as usual but the young actors all did very well, immersed in their characters.the plot was good and solid in the first half, but I'm not a big fan of the 2nd half, one of those examples Where plot twists didn’t twist my brain but the story lost It's credibility to some extent instead, too much unbelievable sometimes. if i consider only the journey of the main character, The journey of legend is still my favourite from cheng yi this year. TJOL is somewhere Between 8.5 and 8.7 for me, rated it 8.5. TVOA is Between 8.2 & 8.3, will probably rate it 8.0

The conclusion is he didn't die in the explosion. As for how he survived, that's up to your imagination 😅😅 i saw speculations that it was a flour dust explosion only producing sparks or he Schemed everything beforehand preparing for Himself a way out or a fake corpse was set resembling him by cen weizong etc,so whatever you want to Imagine lol

yeah "我为良世当浮尘,天地自为我提灯" that was one terrific line 👏
Extra episode was meh for me...i was saying to someone yesterday here that the ending was not a surprise for me at all. i long expected that they'd let him die in the main story ending and leave an epilogue/extra episode of open interpretation as most viewers wanted him to live in the end.
2nd half could've been handled better and i'd prefer a definite ending as i care the least about a next season, still it was an okay watch.

just a cautious move from production team bcz cheng yi most probably won’t be in the next season even if they make s2. so the medicine will give XHA a new look by rebuilding collagens and past will also be forgotten ( new season new me feat. Liu zhi 😂) the makers of this drama are great at plastic surgery, ain't they?😂 Stabs and explosions don't work on main characters,It's understandable 🤷♀️
what's in the red bottle in extra episode ? ''that man wants you to do something" who is that man?? "here…
script readers said It's some kind of toad oil regret pill. Toad oil is used to heal damaged skin in traditional chinese medicine, (probably implying XHA's skin is damaged from explosion, although the hand of him we saw in the jail was totally unscathed lol)
that man must be cen weizong's master, someone big boss of him from Tiemo. "here is the payment" they're practically making a deal by giving him the healing medicine to make XHA do something (regarding tiemo's Internal affair most probably, cen weizong or his master is after the throne as the tiemo king is dead now)
In the ending credits, only the polaroids are implying the changed future, after that the pictures are assembled like whole drama's significant captures by director
He lives tho. I suppose you missed the special episode.
Watched that. It was kinda expected that they'd let him die in the main story ending and leave an epilogue/extra episode of open interpretation as most viewers wanted him to live in the end.
funny haha
