I watched it on-going for 6 months...i think makjang dramas ain't ever for binge-watches, just perfect for It's regular 2 episodes a week schedule, this drama stayed on top in tv ratings during It's airing period. I really loved many things including the family dynamics & the Main leads' storyline , it had typical makjang flavours and some cliches, but still enjoyable.I almost never watch long shows unless i find them worthy of my time,this one was one of the few worthy ones. i would love to recommend this to anyone

the script was inspired from sun tzu's the art of war...it has 6 categories (勝戰計 - Shèng Zhàn Jì,攻戰計 - Gōng Zhàn Jì etc) , each having 6 tactics, as a whole 36 strategies in total...I've actually found some of his strategies to be similar, most probably inspired from there, though i haven’t written them in details yet..the tactics are something like, "replace the real with a fake" "make the fake look real" "sacrifice something small for something valuable" "let the enemy burn himself" "Besiege Wei to save Zhao (attack a weaker point to relieve a stronger one)" etc...i think writer took 24 stratagems from there out of 36.

Tbh it was not in the neck but shoulder and carotid is not anywhere near there, so it missed the vital area. The question should be,how huben Army's biggest killer liu ziyan could miss the vital point to stab him 😅 & how could he move his right hand immediately after waking up in 2 days to stab forcefully multiple times like that, an injury there certainly would make someone's right shoulder and hand unmovable for days haha...Don't think much about these, Male Leads are supposed to have 9 lives in cdramas, It's not like we're seeing this for the first time here lol
