No, Huai An's cooking is not for tht "dog" but for his comrade😬 like his camaderies there😂
Don't know why he's a dog yet bcz i watched upto half of ep 3, but i saw the comments, it seems like he's really bad... i pitied him for a moment there for that bowl of rice 🙆♀️
He cooked the meal for Ye Zheng though xD He only gave him a bowl of rice.
Haha yeah but i was too excited to see him cooking that I paused the scene & wrote this comment 😂 discovered the actual reason of the feast the next moment🤣
I have a question about episode 3. I did not understand what was meant by the Chen Valley incident? What happened?…
My guess is, Liu Ziyan killed the boy bcz he couldn’t bear to see the little boy eating bamboo dustpan out of starvation (and it wouldn’t pass the censorship if he directly said that he killed a child, so it was a vague description)...That infuriated Huai'An father and most possibly He ordered to severely punish or execute Liu Ziyan for doing something forbidden in his army rule. Thus Liu Ziyan almost lost his life that day and decided to go to Yan fengshan's side defecting his brother
LOL Not Huai'An secretly kidnapping the deposed Emperor, keeping him on dungeon, and after a whole day of giving everyone cold death stares and randomly chatting with the current Emperor , he's now cooking vegetables and meat for the kidnapped Emperor at night. And Ye zheng, "i was giving him Food but he wanted Golden Milk pastry so i let him starve" lmao I'm seriously loving this a lot!
I knew this will air today as LOTM ended yesterday in IQIYI, i couldn’t think of any other drama to take up that slot, and came here to check!yaay! It's released!
So far, Rui Lin is a grey character in my books. He is pragmatic, clever and willing to to look the other way.…
That would be interesting to watch xD technically, Marshall jiu is supposed to be in the grey side in the end along with Ms Su, and Rui Lin is supposed to suppress that deed along with GPY. if things turn out opposite to this... ehem I'm really interested to see that xD
Has the Taiping Rebellion ended yet or is there still more to it? 🤔
Ended. Ep 23-24 mentions "Fall of Nanjing on June 16th after 10 days of massacre", that ends the reign of Taiping Kingdom , winning led by the xiang Army where Marshall Jiu is a General. (1864)
To touch a bit of historical incidents, Xiang army (also known as old Hunan army) was not any official imperial army of Qing court, it was unofficially established in 1851/1852 by Zeng Guofan (Marshall Jiu/ zeng Guoquan's brother), a powerful figure of imperial court and a military General). this whole huge military trope was established as a volunteer force and food & provisions of this army usually came From Wealthy businessmen of that era ( like this fictional Li wantang level merchants ) , arranged by zeng guofan thorough different provincial governors.(there is accusations that they were always underpaid and Hungry, specially after 1862 besiege of Nanjing)
After 1864, xiang army had become a Threat to the imperial court, bcz the purpose of them was fulfilled as the rebels of south were already subdued (with some remnants of rebels still existing here and there but with very small groups) As the Xiang army was huge and powerful, the Qing Imperial court feared if they stage a military coup anytime,it'd be a threat to overthrow the dynasty. So they pressured zeng guofan to disband the xiang Army. Historically, immediately after the end of taiping rebellion in 1864,Xiang army was disbanded by zeng guofan (he pursued his brother zeng guoquan too in this disbandment, as zeng guoquan was a bit of rebellious lol)
where Did they film Ningguta scenes? did they really film it in Ningguta,Ning'an??
Ningguta set for filming of this drama were built in primeval forest in Yichun City, Heilongjiang province . The actual historical exile place Ningguta (Now Ning'an) is also located in Heilongjiang province (northernmost and easternmost province of china)
Ning'An is located in Mudanjiang city,south-eastern part of Heilongjiang province, borders Russia in the east through suifenhe town...while Yichun City (where this drama was filmed) is in Northern part of the Heilongjiang province.also Borders Russia through Jiayin county.
"Even if someday we brothers truly become enemies, business is business.. i Won't ever harm you" "i Won't either" 🥺🥺 i keep getting surprised at the Actor doing Li Qin's role...It's not easy to keep up with Chen xiao level Acting, but he's really doing great.
I'm soo happy to see Chang Si enjoying Himself in the wedding, bcz in the book he never got see his daughter's wedding 🥺 Chang si is one of my favourite characters in this series.
I saw your comments and was so happy you were enjoying it! Oh to watch this for the first time 😭😭😭 I…
It deserves Top Rating, it deserved all the success and recognitions it got, it deserves everything 😭 This Made me crave for the other adaptation of MxTx, Eternal faith!! It's such a loss if we never get that tgcf adaptation 😭
I am so happy you enjoyed it! Ngl, it was like my second historical C-drama which is when I started getting into…
Nirvana in Fire!! i watched it many years ago, even before creating my MDL account, but i remember it left me with such a strong impression that i wasn’t finding anything better than that for a long time afterwards...Many years passed by and i forgot most of the plots of NIF now, but nothing really beat that special place in my heart being the best till now, until CQL ❤️
Huainan...Huai'An... Did he Change his name according to this place?😅
They filmed in -40°C, with sandstorm attacks, snows and freezing cold. you can guess snowy scenes were mostly real
