Yes, chen yucheng was betrayed by a subordinate of him And was captured & executed by Qing Army,probably by slow slicing (that word itself Horrors me so much 😑)... iirc, in this Novel, He was killed by sengge rinchen (the one in history) in a night ambush. Su zixuan later killed sengge rinchen using zhang pigeng and avenged him. Bai yimei became some kind of grand canal business/rebel leader for a year or more, then she also died.. it was stated that before dying, she entrusted their orphaned child (her and chen yucheng's child) to Gu pingyuan's care. in the ending chapters, GPY & Chang Yu'er had a child, i don't remember if It was their biological child or the child left behind by Yimei. i remember Yu'er earlier had suffered a miscarriage (they got married in the middle of the novel & really endured so much together)..

In the drama, They shifted the timeline a bit from the Novel. In Novel,when GPY escaped from exile,it was already 3 months after Xianfang Emperor's Death,he met Su zixuan for the first time after his escape so her motivation is indeed revenge in the novel.but in the drama It's 1 year prior Emperor's death when GPY escaped, so Let's see what her motivation really is in the drama.

Su zixuan is just novel & drama character and totally fictional,she's not any historical figure (unlike sushun). yes she was a rebel in the drama too ,mostly disguised as a man to cover her identity.she later was trying to seek revenge for her Father's execution.
