My mind is full of wangxian now 😭♥️

The most beautiful rain scene I've watched since a long while...Not much dialogues, just subtle emotions flowing with the raindrops...

"心安了嗎?" (Is your heart at ease now?)

"此心安處是吾鄉" (where my heart rests, there lies my Home)

what a cleverly written scene, well directed and perfectly portrayed.It's always the non romance dramas that give the most poetic portrayal of the leads' feelings for each other.

I'm reading it in parallel with drama episodes (as the novel story goes back and forth in present and flashbacks, and my books arrived pretty much late when i was at ep 32, my friend is helping me to find the parallel chapters in according to episodes,so i won't be spoiled ) It's giving me a different level of feels, I'm super enjoying it. Drunk Lan zhan is so much MORE cutttee in the book, & WWX returned the chickens lan zhan stole to the owner in the middle of the night 😂 And everything that happened after 🙊
All these details in the book is giving the drama scenes more impact and background, like LWJ while drunk was repeating what WWX said to him 16 years back (the graffiti in the wall lol,WWX thought he should tear down the wall haha)... when I'm reading i can't stop reading it, It's intoxicating how beautifully this book is written!

(I'll read it in chronological order after i am done with the drama)

hahaha i just watched LWJ's drunk scene episode, concurrently reading chapter 95-100 😭 i am done for. still processing. what Just happened. INSANE

I'm only on ep 4 of the drama so a lot behind in episodes, but i watched ep 9 after your comment, (seems like the story is now at the auction period of kang's properties), i just watched the scene you’ve mentioned, I think It's a loan ledger of Taiyufeng from 2 years back, several ledgers like that were shown hanging around like that, Taiyufeng most probably has all precisely recorded deed and loan deals and It's just the recorded (yet to be repaid?) loan ledger of 1858 probably?

Another thing that caught my attention while roaming around ep 9 is, in the jail Gu pingyuan mentions "the imperial court has already lost Jiangnan" which is most possibly a reference to 1860 battle of Jiangnan Between the Qing army and the taiping battalion which resulted to winning of Jiangnan by Taiping forces dated in May 1860, so the storyline now in ep 9 should be after that historical event.

In the Novel,around this time prince was going to suppress the Nian rebels with his army (but the military provisions were burnt so he demanded the merchants to pay everything) , i saw it was mentioned in ep 9 by the Prince that he's about to "go to shandong soon to suppress the rebels" (but 'Nian' wasn’t explicitly mentioned)

On ep 1 GPY's entrance scene,it was mentioned by him "I, Gu pingyuan was exiled in the 5th year of xianfeng Emperor's reign" (which is 1855)... he was exiled for 5 years, so the year we encountered our ML is 5 years From then,1860.This is 1860 now, and 10th year of xianfeng's rule.

southern rebels/Taiping rebels have already took Nanjing in 1853, and You're right about Ms Su's revolver handgun. when Ms su in ep 2 said she will carry the horses " to the South ", GPY realized right after that " You're a rebel" bcz Nanjing is situated in the south and that was the southern capital of Taiping rebellions back then.

During and after. Gu pingyuan was exiled during xianfeng years, marks the time of Taiping rebellion. The story covers his more than a decade long journey so at the ending chapters of novel, Taiping rebels were already subdued.

Xue yang didn’t appear in ep 33, but LWJ & WWX is suspecting him as of now, as the sword ghost is infected by yin hufu. The original yin hufu forged by WWX (from the yin iron Sword) was destroyed by him when he died, the other 3 yin irons were also destroyed by the clans after sunshot campaign.So this new yin hufu must be forged from the 4th one that everyone was looking for. i was very curious about this 4th piece of yin iron and suspected meng yao having it. but now it seems like xue yang had it in his possession since then.
