I'm satisfied with the ending bcz i read the novel ending and we all know drama just wanted to pass censorship.. but I'm really really sad that it has come to an end...i Don't wanna watch SE edition now, maybe will watch one or two episodes from time to time when i really start missing them in future.. For now, I'll finish the book first and watch behind the scenes and interviews..edits etc.
if i talk about only ending, it did give me a lingering feeling, i want more of the youngsters,jingyi & sizhui, Jin ling's night hunts with fairy, i want to know what wen ning ended up doing,did he ever revive the wen clan with wen yuan? i wanna know how many thousands of rules lan clan added in the future, in addition to "Disciples should stay out of wei ying".. i wanna know if Wei wuxian ever tasted the lotus pier's seeds with Jiang cheng again in yunmeng,maybe with jin ling this time. I hope Jin Ling ended up as the youngest ever clan leader in the cultivation world, breaking his uncle JC's record, with his mischievous personality like wei wuxian,hot temper like Jiang cheng, soft heart like Jiang yanli,and prideful attitude like Jin zixuan...I hope Nie huaisang's heart is at peace now and he settles down his clan like his big bro once did. i wonder if zewu jun will end up taking the place to give lectures in Lan clan's lessons as Lan Qiren will surely get traumatised sooner or later, tolerating Wei ying with Hanguang jun :D It's amazing how these once teenager cultivators who used to make trouble in Gusu while attending lectures of Lan Qiren are now pillers of the cultivators and became seniors that'd Never fail the juniors like the previous generation. And lastly, I hope they draw portraits of Yiling patriarch with more care now, with handsome facial features :) and the stories should be told for generations how he went far enough to protect some lives of innocents,so that people cultivate "true conscience" like him & Lan wangji,who also didn’t suffer any less.
I've FINALLY completed watching 😓.... the last scenes of the last episode kept piercing my heart with suibian and zidian, i teared up like Jin Ling multiple times even i couldn’t believe my eyes. All bcz my Heart wasn’t ready to say goodbye to them... 50 episodes of a wonderful journey ends Today, 6 years later. Took me long enough... After watching so many dramas of different industries for over a decade, no dramas lately felt 'Personal' to me anymore, that was the exact reason why i started this anyways,and I'm purely satisfied with what i felt throughout. What an experience! what an excellent storytelling, what a brilliant portrayal of emotions! A story of love,loss,brotherhood,trust,betrayal, friendship, longing, family, yearning, and Tears of happiness and sadness.

I would love to meet you guys on another drama's comment panel in future! this drama will forever stay in my mind and I'll surely come back here forever though 😂 I'm not yet done with the book but by far i can already tell how greatly this adaptation kept the essence of the original novel. Well received. This drama is Airing on CCTV-8 & IQIYi, both datas are fine ( Dramas that are aired on CCTV are high regarded in china as that means it appeals to the overall domestic audience more than web dramas)
From TV ranking, Kuyun data shows LOTM is on Top of the list since It's airing day,having average Rating of 2.5-2.8% till now, peak Rating hit 3.2% on premier day (Considered as a high Rating.. for example, this year's blockbuster hit in china "This Thriving Land" was getting 2.5-2.8% Rating for most of It's running time too,finally hitting 3.0-3.3 % on the last 4 days of airing,peak Rating hit 4%, highest and only drama to do That in 2025)
IQIYI Heat index broke 9000 , It's got yunhe S+ Rating so a commercial success as well.It's on TOP of yunhe daily views chart since Dec 03 till Now, with 26-28 M daily views. Basically Data's are saying It's doing well.

Haha i just noticed in ep 14, when wangji first sang his composed song to wei wuxian in xuanyu cave, WWX asks "soo nice to hear, what's the name of this song?" LWJ answers him "Wang-Xian" (but wei wuxian was in the verge of losing his consciousness so the words LWJ said was "muted" to the viewers, implying WWX didn’t hear the name (censorship issue, huh?)... but if anyone notices the lip reading, It's definitely "Wang-Xian" (not wuji)

Nah,this one's case is different, it was very high level production since the start (Zhejiang Huace film house).. pre production had enough time so filming didn’t take longer. (60,000-square-meter set has been built for this drama with 550 sets prior to filming, 8000 custom designed costumes were made (when most of the other historicals just reuse costumes), There were more than 1000 crews involved.. For higher level productions,pre production and post production takes longer time than usual, rather than core filming period (another reason,most actors don't overlap Their Other schedules when they are under big production regulations)

there's some absolutely GREAT older dramas (not THAT older,just from 2018-2021) that are really really good,i hope you try someday! tbh,Very few 30 episodes dramas kept That OG cdrama essence From back in the days...(some of the 40 ones kept)

It's hardly believable that they shoot for only 30 episodes, they filmed for more than four months.. what i usually see,30 episodes dramas filming periods are usually shorter than 40 ones (like 3 months and some) while 40 ones take usually more than 4 months... idk exactly what to believe!
