omg yes! I was thinking the same. I'm also kinda confused cuz aren't protagonists supposed to be "good"??…
In a lot of C-novels the protagonists are petty and cruel and do the exact same bad things as the villains, only they're supposedly doing it to the villains so that makes it okay in those novels.
There are so many of counterattack of the cannon fodder type stories and demon wang's concubine/princess kind of stories where the protagonists are scheming, selfish, commit crimes, disregard civilians, exploit social hierarchy etc to serve their own purposes.
It's just a matter of how justified their personal grudge is and who wins. The same story can look a lot different from a different perspective.
I completely forgot but we still have that weird conversation between Hye Joo and La Ik by the river that hasn't…
I'm guessing drugs. She was abroad where it'd be easier to access them. Also if she came back to Korea with drugs in her system but her CEO dad had the cops cover it up, then it'd be a risk for Prosecution to find out.
I just started watching this. Idk why Vengo Gao's character is so stuck and hung up on his friend from the past. On one hand he tells the other ML how everyone dies and parting is inevitable and yet he's so stuck on a guy he befriended that he interfered with the past and still continues to look for his shadow.
Why doesn't the concept of a doppelganger cross his mind? People can even find unrelated people that look just like them in their lifetime, why doesn't Bi Zhi entertain the idea of similar faces across centuries?
I don't understand why the fire led to a wild goose chase for artifacts and why they got strewn through different time to begin with.
Well more like 17th century, as that's when spectacles 👓 became popular amongst the wealthy in Joseon.
Joseon Dynasty lasted from 13th to 19th century however spectacles aka eye glasses (which FL's brother is wearing) only arrived in Korea after 1592. They were seen as a symbol of status & prestige and started becoming popular in 17th century amongst the elite & wealthy.
Therefore we can guesstimate that the story is set some time in or after 17th century.
He's a decoy. He's meant to distract people from thinking about realistic reasons for childrens' disappearance.
The show doesn't really give any reason for why the Snow Man acts on the days he does & whether his sighting was intentional on the ultimate perpetrators part or accidental.
For a data nerd, he doesn't mention that the conditions only apply to males interested romantically in Mijeong, it doesn't apply to animals or females. It also doesn't seem to affect males that come in contact with her for longer than 10 minutes that only know her platonically. Her dad's death doesn't really match the hypothesis, it's an exception caused due to the tragedy of their circumstances.
The summary says "She’s used to the loneliness now, but from time to time, she recalls a boy, Lee Dong Jin,…
Thanks.
I don't mind spoilers & have already started watching it. The movie is paced much better than the drama. The drama doesn't seem to have enough material & is a bit draggy
Honestly, even at the last moment, the person she care about most with Strongest emotions is SML.
Exactly!
Her grief at his sacrifice & death is palpable. Even her relief for his freedom of choice & freedom from everything is expressed in such a compatriotic way.
Her feelings for him were the most lasting of them all. She didn't care whether he was fellow divine artifact Fate or an old mortal acquaintance Nan Xu Yue.
Whereas she cared so much about which version of the ML it was & so focused on just one part of his journey.
It really doesn't feel like the leads were true soul mates even though they kissed & got together in the end.
Writer bruh I reckon got tired with all the mind games that they decided to give up on the last arc.
1 sentence could've wrapped up everything nicely : "All forms of me love all forms of you"
It'd indicate MXL reconciling with her versions of A'zhu & CP & acceptance of XXC/ZM/Mo Zhun as one.
But no instead they gave us recency bias from MXL where even with memories her feelings don't return, & even with revelation of truth & absorbing XXC memories ZM doesn't love MXL.
Like bruh at this point I think the FL caring a little for the SML was her truest sustained feeling.
The universe decided it was not yet time for XXC to succeed. Otherwise, how can he have gone back again for the…
I get it was written to untie the knots in XXC heart & for all the revelations to happen. It makes things click for him & the audience but I just don't think it makes sense for the character of the ML at the height of desperation to think of indirect methods to save his lover, instead of changing the direct catalyst.
Why does it feel you want him to rewrite the novel and make new drama lol
I haven't read the novel, but I'm only suggesting opportune times to save her from a logical perspective, based on what the drama has shown so far.
Save her at the crux of death or save her from her whole tragic life trajectory instead of in between at different moments when all the events that lead to death are already in motion.
The show was being so consistent throughout but then in ep 28 suddenly the 1 day time limit of time travel goes boink in the first attempt at change?
Is it because by trying to stop HXW he was technically saving the world & not directly MXL?
If stopping the villain that wants to sacrifice the person you want to save counts as direct action then why wasn't he able to stay back in time for a full day? If they'd showed XXC chased or followed HXW for almost the whole day I'd get why he ran out of time & had to go back. I just can't swallow that even without fighting him for a long time he ran out of luck.
The reason for failure at first attempt was just that the world & space time is unstable? That feels too vague & hand wavy.
Why didn't he try to go to the moment where MXL swapped the jade talisman? He can re-swap the jade without her knowledge & then save her. Then he'd die & she'd be saved.
Or he could've gone back to the moment when she was born & saved her? Then find a foster family for her, or at least teach her the way of spiritual cultivation?
I did love the way they tied the Xuanling tree, the revelation about who Da gege was.
But I'm still so miffed that he didn't think it through better.

2021 invented a lot of new things and also changed some character settings.

My Only Love Song where FL travels back in time to Goguryeo era.
Splash Splash Love is a 4 episode kdrama where a high school student travels back in time.
There are also many time travel & isekai cdramas, if you don't mind venturing outside of kdramas.
Therefore we can guesstimate that the story is set some time in or after 17th century.

I loved his whole character growth & redemption arc in this. Tragic but heart touching.
