I can't believe they're gonna have BoA play an evil ex fiancé! Also wow I just realized that BoA is a year younger than Park Minyoung but she looks older.
Even though she's gonna get a lot of hate for this role, my beloved BoA, still my No.1.
I've seen 5 episodes of this & I still don't know what country they're in. Why & how are there so many Chinese people in one town that doesn't look like a tourist hot spot?
I get there being participants for competitive sports, but it still feels like a stretch to see 2-3 Chinese restaurant running folks. I'd buy it if it was a case of diaspora in a neighbouring country of China, but here it feels like all those people are there specifically to propel the love story & nothing else.
No that good tbh. The dialogue delivery is flat, the demon is not devious enough, general smarts are lacking in…
To each their own, even humans who have secrets to hide do a better job with security measures, let alone a being that's lived for over 200 years. That's what I mean by lacking smarts & not being devious enough.
Sunwool foundation is an arts centre & he has other employees besides Secretary Ha & the performer Ha Young. His office isn't pass coded or secure so it's a wonder that nobody's trespassed/ accidentally ventured & seen something before.
Till latest episodes he doesn't remember his life as a human (except a few snippets), so that time doesn't have much bearing on his personality or moral makeup.
Being a human doesn't mean one can't be cunning or evil; so the argument that he's not devious cz he was originally just a human does not hold much weight.
In my book, they were a couple. Does anyone know if they were a cp in the book?
In the translation I read they were quite ambiguous with each other. Their whole life vibe was old married couple, & there was no scene of Mu Mu taking Dou Bing as pretend girlfriend to a dinner.
is it really that good? i watched 2 eps and felt like dropping it... does it get better later on?
No that good tbh. The dialogue delivery is flat, the demon is not devious enough, general smarts are lacking in the script. If you want to watch for beautiful outfits & good cinematography go ahead. It has some cool sparkling moments but overall it doesn't get better.
Does anyone know if the FL really played the instruments or was it just acting? I also wanna know if the leads sang the osts themselves? Cz the ML's voice is different in the 2 songs he sang so far. I wish they'd keep the voice consistent when singing is the character's usp.
Really enjoying this so far, the drama makes me feel so giddy.
What was the motive for epi. 19? This drama was written by a MAN. Holding hands while teaching embroidery , wasn't…
Even before that, in their society wasn't it forbidden for a non related man to enter women's quarters, let alone their room? I know Wu Lian had a village keeping quiet for him, but didn't the parents sending their daughters in ensure that nobody entered the girls hostel?
Wu Lian had male servants, so wouldn't the parents at the time need to be reassured that the girls dormitory couldn't be accessed by man servants or outside men or whatever? How did it not raise eyebrows for the naive girls that their teacher - a man - freely came in & out of the female student dwelling?
I think it's cute how her name sounds like voice 목소리/mogsoli. It's a bit on the nose but tongue in cheek at the same time, makes it hard to forget. Reminds of cdrama I Hear You where the FL Zhao Lusi was named Erduo aka ears 😂
Also, I don't get it. What are they going to do in 1987? What are they going to perfect?
Maybe stop the murders since they know who the real criminal is now. They could possibly catch him red handed in their last go & reduce the number of victims.
Math ain't mathing here... She learned Arabic in her 4th life in 10th century... but when Seo Ha met young BJM…
Mortality rates were high in the past, & life expectancy was low. The average was around 30-40 yrs, so ppl got married early & had kids early & worked early & so on. So it's not unreasonable if she died young in a couple of her lives.
This show is so weird. They didn't even upload the full performances of all the trainees on YouTube, & the videos on naver are region locked. I call bs on global voting, how is anyone supposed to vote before seeing their full performance? Just say its only for Koreans & go from there.
If its truly global then contestants should be able to perform in any language, there shouldn't be problems with on the spot interpreters either.
The Thai duo they said were famous, they never said what they got famous from. I imagine a BL drama but seriously it wouldn't have hurt the shows to show a poster of the drama or something.
The editing of the show is weird. The standards for performance & judging aren't the same for everyone. Some were allowed backtrack while some had to perform totally live.
I did like how all 3 grades got some camera time. I think 2nd grade got screwed, 3rd grade caught more attention cz of the way they were presented.
I dunno what the deal was with revaluation. They didn't tell us who dropped & who got promoted, its hard to make out faces among so many people.
I love the pacing of the drama & the solitude when they're in Qining, but when they're in Beijing/hometown the vibes don't translate as well. The snow & cold landscape make for excellent avenue for the introspective quiet vibe just like in the Director's previous drama Crush but this show moves from place 1 to another & in an urban city the same long pauses & slow pace don't work as well in my opinion.
Even though she's gonna get a lot of hate for this role, my beloved BoA, still my No.1.
