The array didn't fail. Their death's were just not instanteous coz of their high cultivation. Remember the Phoenix…
Ah I see.

Thanks for the reply.

The drama is unfolding beautifully so I'd like to avoid spoilers.

You're right, I forgot about how the phoenix lady 6000 years ago was dying slowly & still had time to climb celestial stairs to ask the God (of chance?) to grant her wish.

It all harkens back so well.

The rich old Fu couple also died somewhat slowly so it's great that the drama is consistent in these details.

Those with greater power die slowly, while those who aren't as strong drop dead quickly.

The book is finally going to make an appearance? I have been wating for this moment. Sidenote, it was so hard…
Same bruh same. I had to slow down playback to 0.25 speed & had to rewind like 5 times to catch everything in those few seconds.

No wonder HXW was so shocked. I'd be shaken & dizzy 😵 too if I had to read something that quick & comprehend that the world I lived in was a lie!

Title The Blossoming Love Spoiler
Omg ep 26! The ending gave me goosebumps.

The whole trio array failing is super ironic but how did it fail? Why is He Xianwo not dead? Why is NXY not dead? If all 3 doors were death doors & only XXC was protected by Jade talisman then shouldn't the other 2 men also die along with MXL? When the Chaos pearl who is supposed to be eternal can die, how can 1 human & 1 quasi immortal human not die?

The way it unfolded OMFG! So yeah HXW is a piece of shit but seems like what he talked about killing in order to achieve equality & fairness - that part mirrored the reality of 10,000 years ago. When he was young the Human Emperor Zhao Ming tried to protect all humans from being exploited by Celestial beings ; it mirrors the way Humans treated Spirit beings as inferior & enslaved them because of their powers.

Now humans are the oppressors but seems like back then humans were suppressed & killed by Celestial beings.

It speaks volumes now that for 26 episodes the show never referred to Zhao Ming as anything other than human emperor who committed evil deeds. The show never called him dark lord or Demon evil lord or anything because all along it wasn't true!

I wondered why in this story there was no mention of reviving original supreme demon lord to defeat/overpower humans since ZM was imprisoned to everyone's knowledge. It makes sense now. The demons probably don't want to revive him because they either don't remember ZM, or just don't want to promote someone who can lord over them.

HXW The person that did remember him also didn't want to free him because he envied ZM's supernatural faculties, wealth, glory & fame. He had his memories altered because fate was rewritten & the whole fabric of time was fabricated!

It was Zhao Ming who cancelled the human sacrifice to protect human beings, the truth was that he'd worked all his life tirelessly to benefit humans & make his subjects flourish. Just like how XXC worked tirelessly to protect everyone. The soul sliver mirrors the og soul's intentions, unintentionally!

The Book of Fate rewrote all motivations & deeds of Zhao Ming, it completely rewrote the narrative to make him sound evil.

Now I don't know where the original Chaos Pearl A'Zhu fits into this. The way she treated Emperor ZM was similar to how MXL behaved when given disillusionment water, & I'm suspecting the dude in cream white robes beside her may have been a past incarnation of NXY.

If the Celestials tampered with her emotions or memories OR somehow controlled her to betray Zhao Ming & trap him in Dark Abyss then that'd be so sad.

But godamn, where did all the Celestials go? Where are all the Gods? They changed the fabric of history & disappeared?

It seems like Dark Abyss was used as a prison 10k years ago. So were demons still there at the time or did they develop later?

Why is the mention of demons suspiciously absent from the tale of what happened 10k years ago?

Do the demons even deserve to be eradicated if they're born out of negative emotions of human beings? Isn't their existence more natural than human cultivators that go against the way of the heaven to artificially acquire power & prolong life?

Idk what to think now.

I'm on ep 21 & XXC definitely has a bdsm kink. First he handcuffs her, then he's like I know the one being harsh to me is you 😂

She planned to frame him for her murder but she made a misstep, not taking the laws about concubines into account. It was her oversight that foiled her plan even before it could succeed, so in the end her sacrifice was for nought.

The drama is going to end soon, but I am still puzzled on how WL got away with the murder charge that Rulan desperately…
This is wayyy later, but it's because she was his concubine. A concubine had the position of a slave or servant, & a master killing a concubine was akin to someone disposing of their property - it was considered a domestic matter & not a crime.

The moment Rulan became his concubine, all hope for justice was lost.

I saw someone saying that romance is not the focus of the drama. Is it true? Compared with “one spring night”…
The Korean title of this drama translates to 'Graduate'. The romance is overall a sub plot & this kdrama is more about Korea's study & hagwon culture.

What if, only what if:Remember, the serial killer was caught buying some sleeping drugs from a common friend right?…
No the person he buys the animal anaesthetic from is supposed to be sm1 engaged in animal husbandry who has previous records of illegal activity.

It can't be the CEO bcz of the anaesthesia connection. It could however be him in timeline 1 as RSJ had refused to sign films & was overall being uncooperative with the management's desires.

as harsh as it may sound i really hope that she will have the accident again, so that in the future she lives…
Twinkling watermelon had that. Even though the ML went back in time, his father still ended up deaf. Unfortunately however in that drama the chaebol wealth fixed everything in the end so it was a bit of a let down, but still the positive life with disabled representation is there, especially with the mother & family dynamic.

The original source material was so weak that even with some more fleshed out supporting characters & new incidents/plots, the actors had little to draw from. Even though this was a improvement on the unbearable novel, unfortunately ultimately it wasn't that well written or paced.

Just okay for time pass, even if you skip a lot you won't miss much.

I voiced my opinion few times that I thought Song Ha Yoon was the best actor in this series, but I also started…
Park Min Young did some stellar acting in her previous roles. Queen for 7 days is another one in which she displays a wide range of her abilities.

In the chart posted above it says that the sister is her half-sister in the book and has a crush on LYY so perhaps…
I remember that too. I went through mental gymnastics trying to sort their relationship thinking : is that his step mother? Is he her step brother? Cz she didn't say the word tang di or biao di (tang is paternal side & biao is maternal side). I was so confused. I was sure I hadn't missed context clues, nor was there any mistranslation.

The show just didn't think it important to explain with a line or two.

LYY's brother was probably the smoothest introduction, & for him too the show at first made out as if LYY had no family in the world. I remember that implication when his friend said he stayed there for him cz he had no one after parting ways with his club.

The sister really did come out of nowhere lol

Hard agree. I thought she was a random jealous relative, a cousin or something cz she seemed irritated when the family waited happily for YG when she was late.

It wasn't until the ladies were in the car & all the scenes happened that I realized oh they're actually sisters, not just relatives.

Pretty shitty of the show actually. In 15 episodes they didn't have time to throw in a line that YG wasn't a lone child? I remember in the beginning episodes too they made it seem like Meng Xiaotian was YG's real brother, twin maybe with the way YG said only 15 minutes older than you comment. I thought maybe their parents had separated since they had different surnames. But when Meng Xiao Dong arrived that's when it became clear that he was her cousin.

I thought so. With the way the sister was acting I could tell she had a thing for LYY in the past. Everything she did was like a bitter reaction to rejection.

THAT'S BoA????? Good grief, I didn't recognise her. :(((((
I think BoA has had some work done since early 2000s, it's quite apparent that she's made some tweaks that SM makes all their girlies get. So I can see why she'd look different to you if you last saw her a decade ago.

But she's looked the same for the last 5 years at least.

I don’t know BoA, but she looks so old tbh. Even though she might be younger from other casts but she doesn’t…
My bad, she's born in 1986 just like Park Minyoung & the 2nd FL.

Yeah she looks more mature than the main cast, but she's a good looking woman. I agree though that they should've cast someone else to match the apparent age of main characters.

Her styling is different, also there's a glowier + smoothing filter used in kdramas that makes her look different from her idol look.

I'd like to think she sells it. She acted her part well so even if you know her you won't cop on to how she's THE BOA.
