To each their own, although I'm thinking you're probably correct on this one. The only thing I can think of that would make my theory correct is that the present-day girl with his past lover's face is just a coincidence and she's not actually her reincarnation. But that seems a bit far fetched. I'm a huge hopeless romantic so I personally really love the whole "soulmate" idea

I've kind of just come to terms with Korean humor at this point. Sometimes it lands for me, sometimes it doesn't (especially the over the top silly humor which we seem to have the same opinion on). I'm starting to think it's more of a difference in sense of humor across cultures rather than a target audience issue... For example, my friend's 50-year old mom adored Vincenzo but I could not get behind the humor, but that's just a sample size of one haha. I can see how someone who's seen more works featuring vampires could find an issue with certain adaptations, my vampire knowledge only extends to Twilight and some otome games, so I kind of eat up all the vampire content without a concern for originality :)

I don't see the problem with making vampires different in this drama? Mythical creatures have been known to be changed in different adaptations. Zombies for instance always change, whether it be the origin, behavior, intelligence level, etc. Don't see why vampires can't be reimagined to fit a different plot line
