I agree. I am a big fan of Charlie Zhou and was happy to see the him give pointers on singing. I think it helps…
It really is, but I've been impressed with his mentoring. He gives constructive feedback, that can genuinely help the contestants with their singing, without seeming mean.
Also watching him dancing was fun. He's humble about his dancing.
There is a lot more story. The characters start out younger and there are some differences. For instance, The Devil Phoenix's back story is different. But they have the same spirit. I would watch an episode just to see if you like it or not.
I loved the story so I am enjoying it. But I am not a fan of the type of animation style. If I hadn't already watched the drama I wouldn't normally watched it because that. But the story won me over.
The episodes are short, 20 mins with a lot of recap but there are 144 episodes. So be warned.
I loved the drama. It was an easy watch. I'm glad I waited till it was almost done. Kudo to those of you who watched it as it was being released. Now I am watching the anime.
Is it just me or is this year they are lacking something? Like positivity. Don’t get me wrong it’s great and…
It's not just you. I've commented on the same thing. Chuang 2021 has been more fun and felt more positive.
What we will need to wait to see is how the contestants progress. What I liked about last years YWYS2 was we really got to know the participants. Whereas Chuang 2020 remained mentor focused to the very end.
I also think the mentors on YWYS3 don't seem to have much chemistry so far. Weirdly they have the most dynamic mentors (Esther and Lisa) in their own rooms, whereas the "serious" or stern judges are sitting together.
Nope. I would agree. So far I feel like it's missing the positivity from previous seasons. The judges on Chaung…
That's a tough one. There are so many good dancers, but can quickly do choreography and sing? The girls last year had 2 days to master it in the A group.
I've been watching idol survival shows for a few years and this is the first time I'm feeling comfortable not…
I agree. I am a big fan of Charlie Zhou and was happy to see the him give pointers on singing. I think it helps that most of the judges have been contestants themselves.
I think it helped that Lay was an all around performer and from a boy band. He also didn't seem mean. I know it's…
I really like his style of mentoring in Street Dance of China S3.
On Youth With You, Lay's critic's didn't bother me. I mean he was really obsessed with balance. But I'm not a dancer so I don't know what he means, but it a least sounds constructive.
here’s my two cents...i feel that lay being the pd/judge although harsh, it was necessary. but i felt that lay’s…
I think it helped that Lay was an all around performer and from a boy band. He also didn't seem mean. I know it's only been a few episodes, but these group of judges don't seem nice. Chris, I'm sure is a great artist, but she seems to be to be more of a judge than a mentor. I would say the same about Wilbar.
Mentors act more like teachers, judges are really there to critique the performance. For now it seems more like the boys are in a long job interview.
What I liked about Youth With You in previous episodes was the positivity and spirit of training and helping the contestants with their performance.
I think the producers are reacting to the criticism from previous seasons about their not being enough strong singers, or too many popularity contestants (the Esther effect) in how they are doing this season. But I think it's at the cost of the show.
I loved and pitied Bai Li too. But unfortunately my mandarin skills aren't fluent enough to understand exactly how she ended.
From what I understood, Ge Bi and Bai li learn through the help of Luo Zhi that the rich guy was Mo Han's uncle (or cousin but I am pretty sure it was Uncle).
Ge Bi is shocked to learn that his girlfriend is manipulative and they break up. Bai Li is extremely hurt again. In the aftermath, she says she only wanted Ge Bi's happiness. I don't really know how to take it. I wished she had seen how awful Ge Bi was. I wish she had expressed something more.
In any case, she does seem to move forward professionally. She graduates from university and I think becomes a writer, with a published book. Bai Li and Luo Zhi are still very close.
I don't know if she is in a relationship or not. I couldn't tell from their conversations.
I thought they're looking for idols that can sing, rap and dance, especially during live? Some trainees showed…
I agree he should have been a B. I think because of the next challenge where they have to only work with there level they want him to work with A dancers. But he’s going to suffer if he can’t dance.
I don’t know why but I find myself disagreeing with this years judges a lot.

Also if you scroll up there is a section called "Where to Watch Douluo Continent". You can click on the logos. It will take you to their pages.
Otherwise you can do a search on Youtube for the "Soul Land" for the anime.
Really loved the bunny and Tan San.

The judges on Chaung 2021 have been more playful and helpful. But it's only been a few episodes. So it can all change.
But I wasn't into the Media Challenge on YWYS3. Especially when the "Media" had nothing to ask some of the contestants.
I think Chaung 2021 was smarter going straight to the performances. So that we could watch the talents and get to know them.

I love EXO too.
