We went through this a gazillion times already. But, reminders. Prepare for the worst ever. Once this airs, 99%…
I am not sure how this ancient Chinese Noona romance is going to work... Seriously... However, they were able to make it work for “Something in the Rain” Maybe, it will work for this one. Wouldn’t that be sweet!
His skill is footwork/running. So, that string array was the perfect challenge for him. But, she’s the fighter. That…
Her acting abilities in this drama are not what I am used to. I, actually, find Yibo better than her. And for me, that is a long stretch from her past performances.
Anyway, with their astronomical fanbases, they both can away with anything.
The complexity of his character was beautifully written. And Darren Wang certainly did it justice.
Most definitely. Anyone with acting chops like these... Gets all of my votes. And his unconventional looks are certainly a breeze of fresh air, different from all the cookie-cutters out there.
Hands down!!!- Best OST selections of 2020- Best character portrayal of 2020- Best ancient Chinese man hairstyle…
Since, I am not one to be bound by traditions; I find every single OST in this drama very eclectic. Sometimes, exactly like Lord Bo’s Mohawk hairstyle, the inclusion of a modern touch can do wonders.
I can't seem to find a drama similar to this ;// it's too good❤️!
The Wolf is one of those unique dramas where it is obvious there is a lot missing, in terms of montage. However, it is still strangely good.
I would love to watch the original, untouched version without all the last 3 years of changes.
As for a drama similar to The Wolf, check out Colourful Bone with Thomas Tong. His Lue Ying’s character had a very similar upbringing, like Lord Bo. He also was given the same type of concoction to increase his strength and agility but the side effects were the deterioration of his body and a shortened life expectancy.
My greatest gripe with this drama aside from the cheap looking sets is the confusing character relationships.…
It’s like Legend of Chusen without a clear storyline. I love that we have a heroine here, instead of a hero... But the lack of clarification is too much.
My Honest Opinion after 20 episodesCould have been way much better. Like if it was some 16-20 episodes I wouldn't…
Exactly! I am still not getting a clear and distinctive storyline; as a result, those past episodes still have a messy-feel to them. I hope; there is a storyline somewhere...
Also, the constant chitchatting, at any inappropriate time, is getting annoying.
I swear my attention span is getting worse lately because I am loosing interest way faster than before. Or Those dramas with a cookie cutter and generic concept are getting worse.
I wonder if it is the reason why a very few numbers made my list this year... - Joy of Life - Love and Redemption - Cross Fire - And strangely enough, the Chu You Wen/Lord Bo character from The Wolf (Let me be very clear... The Chu You Wen/Lord Bo character... Not the drama)
May I dare to say that we might have a newer version of “General and I” here. - A maverick prince who is supposedly not blood related to the royal family, yet heavenly handsome and capable - Prince Xue Rong as Chu Beijie. - A 1st daughter who is savvy at strategy, war tactics and political turmoils, yet beautiful and elegant - Fu Yu Zhan as Bai Pingting. - A very likable second lead couple. - And my personal favorite, “La pièce de résistance,” no stereotypical, irritating, intrusive, second lead love rival.
I might really enjoy this one. Hopefully, they don’t dumb down the girls, halfway through.
Yeah you're right with bad subs. I even started watching a few with raw version as long as I know the story line.…
You are right... Unlike South Korea where they never shy away from the foreign brands; China tends to use domestic brands. However occasionally, I have seen some PPL from foreign brands. Like, Coca-Cola, Heineken and Budweiser red lager.

Wait. Didn’t they show pizza in Ever Night 1? I have not watched the 2nd season; it will be funny to see. Product placement in Asian dramas is the reverse of “Finding Waldo.”
I won’t divulge it for you, in regards to General and I. It is so blatant; it will be one of those moments “What the hell!!!”
Seriously...
However, they were able to make it work for “Something in the Rain”

If you get my meaning;(
That Mohawk hairstyle synced so well with the rap lyrics from the opening OST.

- Best OST selections of 2020
- Best character portrayal of 2020
- Best ancient Chinese man hairstyle of 2020
However, after 3 years of systematic and obvious changes...
- Worst drama title of 2020
*I call this drama, the best example of a PR 101 course.
Did I say ditto before?
Ditto, again!!!
You have captured every character perfectly.
A very objective observation.
He is young; he still has time to get those muscles’ definitions together...:)
I just wish that he had aimed for Mo Ran’s sculptured physique from the original novel.
Hahaha
Good grief, people go to great links to take pictures...
However, it is still strangely good.

Like, Coca-Cola, Heineken and Budweiser red lager.
But the restaurant brand red logo reminded me of Pizza Hut’s logo.
Again, I don’t know about eel pizza... These pizzas usually get the honor of having everything and anything on them.
