And that’s a drop.
The cutting, the chopping and the editing are so abrupt and crude; then in turn, the storyline itself stops making any kind of sense.
Following the Chinese entertainment’s regulations, those reductions of episode are doing a ravaging job on those dramas...

It’s hard to develop any kind of attachments to any of the characters.
- The Female lead is over the top intrusive with a bizarre hybrid personality/soul.
- The Male lead was in love with his sister-in-law and showed no decorum about it.
- The Emperor’s character is a slimy snake with an insecurity/inferiority complex.

*No, no... This is a drop for me.

Cross Fire with Lu Han and Leo Wu.
It is on my very, very, very short list of best dramas this year.

I always thought that Cheng Yi was a good actor.
I found him very captivating and mysterious in both the Noble Aspirations and the Lost Tomb’s series.

But I do agree with you about his full potential has never been put on display until now, with L&R.

To me, Cheng Yi has always been a good actor. He just never had a chance to display the beautiful range of his acting skills until L&R.

As for these 2 that I mentioned above. I always had unfavorable views toward them. Until this year, that is...

Indeed, It is a magical love story told so beautifully by a not-so-famous lead couple.
But good grief, they both were so convincing.

My biggest attraction to this Xianxia drama was not only for the lovely romantic sides of the storyline but also how they tackled the numerous social and governmental issues... That are still being applied even in our modern and non-fictional era.

*This year, I got utterly impressed by 1 actor and 1 actress:
- Lu Han
- Crystal Yuan

I wish and I hope for L&R to receive huge success in South Korea.

Agreed, agreed and agreed some more.

These are 3 different dramas with couples with different personalities.
I don’t want to compare them. I don’t need to compare them.

All i can say is which one that I favor the most. And that is only and solely based on my personal preferences.
Love and Redemption had a clear, distinctive and linear journey. I was able to witness the growth, the development and the evolution of that young couple into two mature, well accomplished and self-sufficient individuals.
And I loved it for that!!!

It would be really nice to watch them collaborating once again.
I really did enjoy both of them.
Their chemistry and their synergy were natural and intimate without any superfluous additives.

Some viewers are saying that they were not passionate enough when compared to the lead couple from 10 Miles of Peach Blossom or even from Ashes of Love.
I will say to those viewers that kinship and intimacy do not have to be extravagant, exaggerated and over the top if they are expressed well, in a natural way...
Also, it is a matter of preferences and nuances.

At least, a small relief.

I am greedy. I wanted them to get all the acknowledgements under the sun... The full package.
The entire cast earned a well deserved success without any tainted incident.

I am downright infuriated by this complete BS.
I apologize for my language.
So many stupid and less than average dramas were released this year without any incident.
Why all these BS have to happen to them? At this precious juncture of their careers.

This is so frustrating and so upsetting.

Finally, a great Xianxia drama with a stellar cast. It even changed my unfavorable views toward Crystal Yuan’s acting skills...
And all these nonsenses are happening. Why?

I am so damn tired of the dirty exploitations and the showmanship/ownership from those production companies and those entertainment agencies...

Poor Cheng Yi.
This is such a beautiful made Xianxia drama.

No chemistry whatsoever between the lead couple. Just nothing. Even the love triangle is bland.
Plot holes all over the place. Very confusing storyline.
No connection with and no attachment to any of the characters.
This is one of the bad ones, yet again.

Seriously...

He can’t even correctly promote his best work, yet because he has other simultaneous releases?
Why should he suffer from the consequences of bad management? It is their fault that they are releasing them so close to each other.

Ridiculous... All the outrageous nonsense that come with those production companies and those entertainment agencies...

About the actress's alleged breach of contract with his company; which actress is that?
