I am not sure when this was filmed... But to be that desperate for bear rudimental female lead actress; this must have been filmed during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Because I am still going through the “Si Feng’s After Effects” from watching Love and Redemption... Watching those silly side-storylines is a million times much harder, now.
The overacting is killing me. It is very distracting.
And why this lead actress, Fair Xing, is mimicking Tan Songyun aka Seven’s trademarked persona? More than distracting, I find her copycat character very odd.
I don’t know... This might also be a drop like many, many others this year.
To each his or her own:) I loved this way more than Ten Miles of Peach Blossom. I guess that's the beauty of being…
The reason that I think L&R is also better than 10MOPB is the difference in characters between the 2 female leads.
There was ZERO maternal tenderness, instinct and affection with Bai Quian. Ye Hua was more of a mother than her. She was fierce and she was in love... that’s about all.
Compared to Chu Xuan where there are so many more layers to her character. She is so much more natural, tender and loving. Even when she was lacking her 6 senses, we could already discern that softness in her. And she kept that softness throughout the storyline.
I'm also a little worried about this drama. I'm afraid Cheng xiao is not that good at playing the female lead.…
In “Dance of the Sky Empire,” it felt like, Wu Jia Yi did not want to be there. Her synergy was off, her chemistry was off, her acting was off... everything was off with her character. I don’t know if it was the directing or the role but she was not her usual responsive self, at all.
Therefore, Xuxu ended up carrying the whole show by himself. His character was an emotional wreck with too much unreciprocated emotions.

Oh, I am not worried about Xuxu’s acting. For an eye-candy, he is overwhelmingly and surprisingly talented.
What I am afraid of is that he will have to carry the entire drama on his own again, like he did in “Dance of the Sky Empire.”
That is so unfortunate that Rachel Wang is not the female lead. She is so good at conveying emotions with her eyes. Her and Xuxu could have been so perfect and good grief, more convincing...
As for Cheng Xiao... Hemmm... I get worried for the drama she is in; whenever, I see her name.
I love Xuan Ji! She's one of my favorite female leads!
I think episode 1 or 2.
The other turn-off factor for me is about the male lead. The fact that he already had a girl and kid just do not seat well with me. I am a more unconditional-love kind a girl... I hate flip-flopping love stories.
Same reasons for which I dropped “Royal Nirvana.” Of course, the constant violence against the female lead was also unbearable to watch.

I do agree with you. I don’t think L&R and AOL are similar at all, aside that they both are Xianxia. I don’t get why almost everyone is comparing them... As you said, everyone has their personal standards...
Because I have always loved the lead couple so I did tried Ming lan. To give both actor and actress the respect they deserve; I think I tried it 4 or 5 times. However every single time, I was asleep faster as if I was watching a gulf tournament. Ming lan Is unbelievably dull to me.
Among the tomb raider’s genre, Mystic Nine is also one of my favorites. *Fyi, Cheng Yi is also in the most recent released series. I am still waiting for the full completion before I start the 2 seasons.
This drama is not the greatest but it is definitely better than a lot of nonsenses that got released this year. Maiden Holmes is enjoyable and simple. Nothing is over dramatized and the editing crew did not ravage the storyline. Thanks goodness!!!
I am intrigued about this new comer, Zhang Ling He, he certainly has potential. He is also very easy on the eyes;)... That is always a plus in my book.
Specially, the voice dubbing they used on the female lead.
The synchronization is way off.
A few episodes in, I am not really keen on any of the characters but the storyline is interesting enough... So far.
But to be that desperate for bear rudimental female lead actress; this must have been filmed during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Female lead actresses were scarce then...
Watching those silly side-storylines is a million times much harder, now.
It is very distracting.

Whenever that is...
I have been waiting for Wolf too... Whenever that is too...

Shame!
Love and that...
Love and this...
Love and something...
But man! Was I surprised by this one.
I love L&R way more. The evolution of their emotions feels more realistic to me.
N P?
