Smart and constructive points. Not the usual irrational litany of the delusional fanbase. However the use of cheng_????…
The same old rhetoric... You have used this delusional and irrational litany, over and over again. It has gotten old.
First it was rational; however now, it is just incomprehensible. At this point, we all can’t make head or tail of your juvenile charabia. It is like reading the comments from an underdeveloped adolescent brain. For me, it is enough. To Ping Ping, Fighting!!!
Ancient Detective is the 3rd intelligent historical thriller that caught my complete interest this year after Joy of Life and Under the Power. Beautifully well made production and very enticing cast. It has that old classic martial arts movie’s vibe that I grew up with. It makes me very nostalgic. It is a most undeniably must watch.
Smart and constructive points. Not the usual irrational litany of the delusional fanbase. However the use of cheng_????…
It is unfortunate that you took my comment as preconceived prejudice. That was not my intent. I do not have to agree or disagree with your train of thoughts; however, I did understand them because they were rational. As for my presence in the comment section, I love the drama and the cast for the most parts. Why should you be upset about that? We are all biased to a certain extent...
And yes, I am coherent enough to understand that your cheng_???? was pointed at me. I am rather straightforward myself.
Anyway, Thank you - The FL’s fanbase seems to be working really hard.
we take constructive criticisms for our rookie actress FL, this is her first drama and she worked hard, experience…
Smart and constructive points. Not the usual irrational litany of the delusional fanbase. However the use of cheng_???? was uncalled-for since it had been redacted.
Haha, when in doubt, characters in C-dramas who dress in dark robes despite their entire sect dressing in white…
Not just his dark robe. When the Beidou head master’s chamber “kindly” declined their request in episode 1, I was already suspicious of both of them. Then the head master called Wen Gecheng, “the man of inseparable manifestation and obscurity” If this was not an insult... I don’t know... It surely was not a compliment either... I hope Lu Ping will join that sect later on.
Ahhhh She was a gymnast... Now I that explains why she looks short and stocky. She has a mesomorph body type.
This is why these irrational fanbase are classified as delusional... Where exactly did you read or see HATE? We suggest that she needs formal training, further experience and more exposure before tackling anymore lead roles. As of now, she is lacking. This is not HATING; this is an educational assessment. Coupling her next to a number of talented young actors like, Arthur Chen and Xu Kai, is not doing her any good. It only showcases more her inabilities. Pal, she needs acting training - good hard work acting training.
It is good. The story is really engaging. The cast is really likable. The overall texture is very bande dessinée…
I know right. She has excellent potentials and aptitude for acting. She is certainly going far. I will be keeping my eyes on her for now on. PS: These little sisters’ characters of AC are always so interesting...
Hmm... is this good? I wanna see this for Arthur, but I don't know about Cheng Xiao yet since this is her first…
It is good. The story is really engaging. The cast is really likable. The overall texture is very bande dessinée (BD); I think it was done intentionally. I find it different, interesting and outside-of-the-box so to speak. As most viewers, I came for Arthur Cheng; however, I found 2 new favorites - Deng Enxi and Jerry Yu. Their characters are so adorable. As for the FL, it is easy to ignore her.
Ahhhh She was a gymnast... Now I that explains why she looks short and stocky. She has a mesomorph body type.
I was not referring to her lines’ delivery but her entire performance delivery. It is extremely placid. As for the voice dubbed, I never take them into account in regard to Chinese acting performance. With the multitude of Chinese dialects; it does make sense of the usage of standard Mandarin in voice dubbings. I cannot vouch for Deng En Xi or the rest of the cast; however, from what I remember Arthur Chen does not use a voice dubbed since he is classically Mandarin trained.
Ahhhh She was a gymnast... Now I that explains why she looks short and stocky. She has a mesomorph body type.
Acrobat, gymnast, traditional Chinese dancer or whatnot... She has the right body type for them. A mesomorph body type. As for her acting, she needs a lot more training. Obviously, 2 weeks were not enough. Her form and facial features are too rigid. Her delivery is extremely placid. And I concur with you, her wardrobe and hairstyle did not do her justice at all. One thing that I observed with the film industry; there are 2 types of rookies. Ones who are genuinely talented from the get go. And ones who learn their craft over time to achieve deserving success. She might be part of the latter.
Yes. If she had talent, it would have been easier to forgive....
I think I can understand why the viewers are getting pissed. This year along, beside Song Zuer and Na Na Ouyang; Cheng Xiao is the third rookie who has gotten an undeserved female lead role. These 3 should be cultivating, nurturing and most of all getting trained in acting before playing any lead roles. Don’t get me wrong; there are many natural and genuine talented rookies out there like, Xu Kai, Arthur Chen, Wayne Song, Wang Yibo, Chen Xing Xu, Karry Wang, Rachel Wang... among many... However, Cheng Xiao is not one of them. She might be a good musical entertainer as her fanbase repeatedly pointed out (I will take their words for it) but not yet an actress.
