That is true. That is why I said… PS: If they had continued with the storyline from season 1 and had kept the same production value… I would have also agreed with Leo that Liu Hao Ran could have better suited for his replacement.
Indeed contrarily to some, i very much enjoyed season 1 with Leo. Also, it could be because I am very much biased and favorable when it comes to Leo.
Either way, because the production value for this adaptation is pretty much nonexistent and the storyline doesn’t follow the first season… I am actually OK that neither Leo nor Liu has their names connected with this mess of an adaptation. I just wish that they didn’t call this mess a sequel because it is most definitely not.
why did Tencent give Leo a hard time, as far as I know, he's had no controversies and only has praises for his…
Yeah… I do remember back then that there was some kind of conflict going on. I have to go back and search for it again. I can’t fully remember. But I do remember that Leo recommended Liu Hao Ran from Nirvana in Fire 2 for his replacement. I remember that I was sad about it; however, I thought that Liu Hao Ran was a pretty decent young actor.

No Leo didn’t. After it was confirmed that Fights Break Sphere 1 would have a sequel… Leo recommended the young actor, Liu Hao Ran, from Nirvana in Fire 2 for his replacement. It was all over the news back then… Where did you get that information from?

Although both leads are my favs i just can't carry on anymore. Chemistry is just lukewarm. ML got forced into…
Oh Prince Bo… Oh my… I loved his character. Contrarily to you, I actually never thought that he was manipulative. He was actually the only character from “The Wolf” that I fully loved. First, he was under the impression that the FL manipulated him until his fall at the beginning of the drama. And later, he was doing everything he could to protect her against his crazy adoptive father… Even, playing the sadistic villain to keep her safe. The FL character was the one that I did not like at all. I even thought the female fighter character that Bo survived in captivation with, was a better fit for him.

Not for me. Whether if it was the FL or the ML written that way… Neither of them would have done it for me. I just don’t like manipulative characters. Example: “Good Bye, My Princess” The ML character had the same unlikable characteristics as this FL… I had the hardest time justifying his persona.

That is why I utterly adore “General and I, “The Song of Glory,” “Lost Love in Times” and “The Princess Wei Young.” These are the female lead characters that I love. They are strong, intelligent and they have magnificent strategic minds. They don’t repeatedly manipulate people and their feelings for their own benefits. And their male leads counterparts are just as strong. They are no pushovers.

As I said, I understand what their characters were trying to convey; however, I am not convinced by them. Usually if they don’t grab me by the very first episode… It is a drop from me. I only gave it 8 episodes because solely for XuXu. Call it that I always try to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I understand what they were trying to portray but what I get is childishness. They were doing exactly what we have seen in a million of other period dramas… They were playing at wars and politics… But to call it strategy… That is pushing it. Sun Tzu would be screaming “What the hell!” inside of his grave. Not as great as “Nirvana in Fire” nor “Joy of Life…” “The Blood of Youth” is a perfect recent example. That is what I call strategy. Not this one.
Me too…I gave it 8 episodes, solely because of XuXu… Then I got tired of it. For me, the so-called impressive…
Actually, I sincerely like watching XuXu. It is not his acting at all. Of course, there can always be room for improvement… Recently, it is his project’s selections that are not good. I feel the more popular he gets, the worse his project’s selections get.

Yes. I really don’t get the writing. The screenwriters suppose to make us fall in love or at least intrigue by the main characters… Not get “What the hell feelings” about them… I simply don’t find both of them likable. The ML is a pushover and the FL is a… Well, I will keep that one for myself. I was so excited about this production. Finally, we were going to have a second “General and I” or “The Song of Glory.” Two main leads bouncing off each other with overwhelming chemistry, intelligence and dynamic quid pro quos… What I got is bizarre and boring.

Finally… I seriously thought that I was watching something different from everyone else. I do not find that they have chemistry at all. I don’t know if I make sense… Their chemistry feels like acting… I am not convinced by it. As much as I love XuXu, I just cannot see what everyone else is seeing.
Someone help me understand- does she manipulate his feelings for him for a while cause I can see this becoming…
Right around episode 8, I also lost respect for both of them. The ML… Is he 16 years old in grade school? Why would he get so shaken by his feelings for her to the point of messing up that bad. And I find his character abundantly way too nonchalant for the situation that he is in. The FL… I love a strong, independent female character with the added sharp strategic mind; however, I find her incessant schemings more childish and more low-rated than structured and intelligent.
Watched from 1 to 10 episodes, then skipped to 13 then to 15, then skipped to 31 (coz reviewers said to watch…
Me too… I gave it 8 episodes, solely because of XuXu… Then I got tired of it. For me, the so-called impressive strategies that the 2 main leads were coming with… Were not impressive enough but rather boring. Not sure if I would go back to finish it.
In terms of intricate strategies… I will wait for “Nirvana in Fire 3” and “Joy of Life 2.”
That is the 6th or the 7th drama that I dropped from XuXu lately. I do feel bad for him.
Wow… This kid got the goods… Have seen him in many, many, many productions before but in “Castaway Diva…” He truly impressed me. He reminds me of a young, Nam Da-reum. Can’t wait to see him in the future.

I am not impressed at all with the initial episodes. Xuxu’s character felt a little annoying to me and I am not convinced by the FL’s (Strategic mind/Expert martial artist) persona. Looks more like one of those fluffy/low budget productions… Strangely with a veteran/seasoned side cast. We have a gazillion of them that are released every year. I wish that it was less comical but more serious. The comical relieve between the 2 main leads is rendering the main characters to be not convincing enough for their portrayals.
As much as I love Xuxu… I have dropped at least 6 of his projects in recent years. I really hope that he improves his projects’ selection.

I am having serious “Ever Night season 2” flashback…
“Ever Night 2” without Arthur.
And now, “Fights Break Sphere 2” without Leo.
Some things should have never been changed.
That is a massive NO for me.

If I see anything similar with better acting and better writing… I will definitely let you know.
