Not only you, even his own boss, Vicky Zhao, mentioned during the interview that she was surprise to see ZZH acting…
I am little bit mad at Zhang Zhe Han. If he can be that fluid with his acting capabilities; then why, has he always been so rigid in his previous cinematographic projects?
Anyway, whatever he has done to improve... It is surely and undeniably working.
Both lead actors look the part, it was as if they jump out the novel itself. With it comes to visuals they fit…
I completely, totally and %1000 agree with you. A year ago, they thought that their standard, their benchmark, their rival was The Untamed... Little that they knew, Word of Honor would utterly pulverize that finished-line. LOL
*WOH was like, “You guys will probably need to go back for more and new retakes and longer editing... If you want to compete with us.”

Contrarily to the popular understanding of Arthur Chen, as a young actor... Immortality is going to be his real breakout. Not his character’s depiction in Ever Night 1; although, it was really well executed.
If AC can pull off the intricate complexity of Mo Ran/Mo Wei Yu/Ta Xian Jun’s characters... I will no longer be skeptical about his acting skills.
I think that was a beautiful fitting ending for our 2 lovers;). Wen Ke Xing was willing to sacrifice himself for Zhou Zi Shu. And Zhou Zi Shu would have done exactly the same to save Wen Ke Xing. The only teeny-tiny complaint that I have... I wanted to see scorpion-boy perished, killed, annihilated and disintegrated into thin air... Well in his case, into the cold snowy air. Of course, nothing personal.
*Simon Gong looks good in anything... Black hairpiece, white hairpiece, fully made-up with excessive red makeup and in a vast array of colorful robes. Anything they throw at him, he remains strikingly handsome. *As for Zhang Zhe Han, aside from being gorgeously handsome with his strange mix of Greco-Asian features... I did not know that he had that kind of acting range. I was pleasantly surprised by him.
After Word of Honor and Killer and Healer... Immortality has some very big shoes to fill.
Oof! Somehow I made it through... Did I almost drop it? Many times along the way. Until the end, I really did not feel a strong, deep connection, friendship or bromance between Prince Chong Li Ming and Ayi. Chong Li Ming was always the one, showing all of his emotions (Ayant le sensibilité à fleur de peau); however, I could never really read Ayi’s attachment toward Chong Li Ming. I am not sure if was the actor’s lack of skill or it was the way the character was written... I was prepared for everyone to die, except Wagner. Wagner was an unnecessary casualty.
*All in all, not the worst turn-of-era, Qing to Early Chinese Republic drama. However, the complete change of concept from the original storyline and the strange adaptation were rather hard to swallow. Although, the choreographed fighting sequences were excellent. *Also however atrocious the writing of his dramas might be, no viewer or fan of Z. Tao can stay upset at him... With that glorious honey-colored skin of his;)
I've watch it & I'm not satisfied with it. A good watch but not great no matter if its bl or not
That’s amusing:) I think that I watched maybe 10 minutes from that 1st episode of My Roomate Is a Detective, before I dropped it. That was most definitely not my cup of tea. Hahaha...
I agree. There is no doubt that these two care for each other deeply. They are so protective and supportive of…
Agreed. So far, I love everything; even, the cute fluffy cat... And I am not even a cat person. Lol
My only complaint is for the choreographed fighting sequences. They could have been better. However, I understand their budget was not as extensive as for Word of Honor and The Untamed.
Fyi: The choreographed fighting sequences better be on-point for Immortality... With the colossal budget that they got from Tencent.
Although it might air after March 29 ( when the sword and the brocade drama ends) , everyday is really a torture…
This one is on my list of dramas that I do not want to talk about... I love love love love Wallace and Seven but after watching a couple of episodes, I was like... WTF!

The only thing that I loved about The Wolf was Lord Bo. The rest was... “What was it about again?” LOL
After 3 to 4 years of editing, censorship and surreal fanbase... They completely changed the original storyline; however at least, they managed to showcase the very in-depth complexity of Lord Bo’s character.
What? Produced in 2018? Why does it take so long until it finally aired
Censorship... Because of a mountain load of censorship. Also Mango is not as influential as Tencent. You can imagine the under-the-table bribes were not that sufficient for an early release.

Word of Honor and Killer and Healer were never on my radar, at all.
What a great surprise!
I am always happy to share the good insights...
Hopefully, you will enjoy it until the end.

But welcome to the world of the Chinese film industry...
Where standards, regulations and protocols are just for the imagination.

She keeps on sort of confessing to him but he keeps on pushing her away.
I think I described the storyline, as a drama that has everything and simultaneously a drama that has nothing... no depth.
Anyway, I am glad you enjoyed it; however, it was not my cup of tea.
Because I dropped it after a couple of episodes so I will take your words for it.
I did forget those.
Dong Yoon is literally going to play an animal:)
Lol
