Then I guess i should just drop this drama T-T I was on-holding at watching ep 11-12... TT-TT i feel so disappointed…
With the last 4 episodes of that drama, I am categorically certain that the scriptwriter was downright coocoo. That scriptwriter should take a sabbatical... A very undetermined extended vacation... And never to return.
This novel was so long and so extensive...If I remembered correctly, Moran was drugged/poisoned when he first…
Talking about Chu Wanning and Mo Weiyu... This is my only complaint about the original novel. Wanning and Moran never consummated their relationship, ever. Yes, they had plenty of intimate moments; however, all the forced, drugged and subdued consummations were done by Taxian-Jun.
Call me crazy... The character that I love is Moran (Mo-zongshi/Mo Weiyu). I only pity Taxian-Jun. I hate that he got all the intimacy and at the end, he got to share a body with Moran. Seriously, WTF!
PS: I am assuming that everyone here, in this short discussion, has already completed the entire novel. If not, I sincerely apologize for letting the cat out of the bag.

Yeahhhhh... I thought that I remembered it correctly. So cute - That was Wanning’s first kiss, ever. Well, in that lifetime. Again, more like... different world.
Sooo .. thinking about the Butterfly Town Arc .... if Mo Ran and Shi Mei kiss, then ... wouldn't that mean, that…
This novel was so long and so extensive... If I remembered correctly, Moran was drugged/poisoned when he first kissed Wanning... thinking it was Shimei. Right? So technically, in neither lifetimes, he never had any intimate relations with Shimei; besides being spellbound obsessed with him.
All of the usual suspects... I mean all of our usual actors and actresses in one setting. We have not seen BinBin, in a very long while now... Looking good in modern clothing. Would he finally get the girl, this time? It seems that he had already lost the girl, 10 years earlier:)
Initial Impression: This is a very slow slow slow slow slow crime drama. My issues with some of the main characters: - Ma Shang, as a very competent national security agent... He is way too jovial and way too ebullient for my taste. - An Jing, as the leader of her team... She should stop her annoying lover-boy from making those constant snarky remarks at Ma Shang; every time he gets a chance. - Du Meng, his total insecurity, inferiority and inadequacy complex vis-à-vis Ma Shang... Are turning him into a total jerk.
Ok that's it I am in love with the actor who is playing mo ran.... Come onnnn he is gorgeous. He is exactly how…
Yes, this kid is indeed perfect for the role. In the novel, when the author was describing Moran... It’s like he was describing Arthur Chen with every single physical detail. Even their mannerisms are weirdly similar.
I was trying my best to push through the finished line, no matter what. However by episode 21, Ning Yi’s extended captivity (with that unconvincing little-girl-bandit-commander) segment seems utterly useless, irrelevant and boring as hell... to an otherwise, smart and amusing original storyline.
*Sorry Guo Qi Lin, this is where I pause. Halfway through, this interesting storyline has become as dull as ditchwater. PS: They should have given Ning Yi’s master more screen-times. She is the most interesting female character in this whole satire.
It is funny that you say that because I couldn't get into JOL or Tiger and Rose, I dropped both. I find this one…
Interesting... I am an avid fan of Nirvana in Fire 1 so it goes without saying... That I also love Joy of Life 1. When it comes to intelligent writing, great intrigues, intricate strategies and wonderful cast... That is exactly my cup of tea.
On the other hand, I dropped The Romance of Tiger and Rose. As a parody, it took top marks for its exaggerated ridiculousness. As for myself, I believe in fair equality between couples. I hate when either side acts as bigots.
I find My Heroic Husband rather interesting to watch because it is a hybrid of the two. Also because both parties are fighting for equality and representation with a substantial layer of satire.
This drama is a crossbreed between Joy Of Life and The Romance of Tiger and Rose... Ning Yi (in Guo Qilin’s physical form) is the copycat character of Fan Xian from Joy Of Life who ended up marrying into a patriarchal household that views a man-concubine as a lesser citizen, like the Han Shuo’s character from The Romance of Tiger and Rose. Nonetheless, I love that the character, Ning Yi, kept his modern savoir-faire, his wits, his intelligence and his boxing skills after his transmigration.
This is an interesting drama. Indeed, it has the usual stupid family rivalries and the unrequited love clichés... However, it is an intelligent semi-comical fluffy pseudo-historical cdrama. Well... That was a mouthful. I was wondering why do I feel this production has a similar intelligent vibe as Joy Of Life? It is because Joy Of Life and My Heroic Husband have the same producer, Cao Hua Yi.
Among all Cho Seung-Woo’s projects... Horse Doctor is my favorite. Then again, I love medicine. It is a medical Sageuk; you might like it. PS: The actress who played the FL; on the other hand, you might not like.
I still think that the Sigma mastermind dude from the future is in fact Sun. Sun always had an affinity for gambling;…
Yes, These are simply speculations. We have to wait and see... Me, I am more interested with the first individual who made the first journey successfully back into the past.
I still think that the Sigma mastermind dude from the future is in fact Sun. Sun always had an affinity for gambling;…
It is really a matter of personal prospective... I find Sun irritating and obnoxious.
If the Sigma dude is really Sun; then, there must be many more factors that came into play... For him to turn into that coldhearted future self. - Unrequited love - Envying Tae Sul for his intelligence and his success - Greed for power - I ruled out family death because why would he still want for the uploader to be built if this will cause a nuclear war, as a result.
Hm. Back to square one as regard Sigma though I still entirely rule out a relation (direct or indirect) with Sun.…
I still think that the Sigma mastermind dude from the future is in fact Sun. Sun always had an affinity for gambling; hence, his first Lottery winnings with Seo-Hae’s help. Sigma dude came back with an awful lot of gambling tips and successful stock-market prospects from the future.

So not so “pure” after all.

However, it is interesting to see some of the root-creations for our modern medical fields (Fictional or not).
I am not sure if it is Eddie, either.
Eddie seems to me to be the usual opportunistic push-over.
Well, IDK...
All of the senseless killings and fightings turned the tragedy in that drama into a comical parody.
Horse Doctor is my favorite.

But a cool idiot savant:)
