Ok... That piques my interest. I am definitely curious about the next episode.
I was getting bummed out with the Wuxia/historical cdramas that are currently airing. After Douluo Continent had finished airing, I had either dropped a lot of them... Or forced myself to watch a couple of more episodes, mostly because the main actors or the main actresses are a few of my favorites.
It is refreshing to have one that grabs my interest with just the first episode.
Oh! Wallace has already a packed harem full with first wife, concubines and kids... Not my favorite scenario for my darling Seven... Hmmmmm... I don’t know... yet.
*I don’t like this specific voice-dubbing; they are using for Wallace. He is way too mainly and way too mature for that youthful voice-actor.
Because of Jason Koo, I sticked it out for 2 episodes... However, comedy lines and ebullient characters do not agree with Jason Koo. He comes out so unnatural that it is hard to watch. Also, did he loose a lot of weight? He is already a skinny guy but his face looks more emaciated than his usual-normal self, in this fluffy drama... Even with all of his leaned muscles.
As for Connie Kang, there is really nothing special about her character, Ling Long... Because her acting is so-so, I am not sure yet if I like her or if I don’t like her.
PS: Sheng Hui Zi, the actress who is playing the character of You Rou... Please give that girl a burger or something; she looks so anorexic that she is literally livid as a ghost.
@Hermine Voltaire I don't like to talk about chemistry, i just think there are good scenes, stories and actors…
Exactly! I felt the same... Good synergy and then... BOOM... We are eating ramen, we are pregnant and we are taking wedding pictures. Too forced. It does not feel genuine, anymore.
Reminds me of that episode in The Wolf where the main couple was suddenly working hand-in-hand in the forest and cooking together. Just too forced.
I agree with @YiYi & @Karimalamr. Give it a chance & watch it from start to finish. You will have different take…
I completely agree with your comment.
I instantly liked the FL at the beginning and then I completely got annoyed with her shortly, later one. Therefore, I had to drop that drama. I am not sure if I will ever go back to finish it.
Still, it's not the drama's fault that you did not feel the chemistry~ A lot of people here noticed it even in…
Of course, based on the writing from early on... I knew the writer was building up some kind of chemistry between the 2 main characters.... Regardless, I feel more synergy rather than chemistry between them. ZiO certainly shows more romantic attributes toward Gu Reum because his character is very expressive and vulnerable, in a childlike-way. However, the vibes that I am getting from Gu Reum are more platonic than romantic.
>>What bothers me the most is that I can not feel or see any chemistry between ZiO and Gu ReumAre you watching…
I probably will:) Meanwhile, I can’t see the chemistry. Fyi: Not everyone has to agree with everyone else’s perspective or opinion. That would be the making for a very dull world.
This new mother... This stubborn-gullible to the point of stupidity detective... Is a colossal IDIOT. Why would you use your own cell phone to call the police station? Wow!
They packed way too much in one single episode. From “I can never trust you” To “Let’s run away together” To “I give you 3 more days to deal with your dying sheep” To “Omo! we are pregnant” To “It’s a girl” To “Even-though, you are my baby’s daddy; I still have serious doubts about your innocence” It’s only episode 8 and I am already exhausted.
*Regardless how surreal this storyline might feel like... What bothers me the most is that I can not feel or see any chemistry between ZiO and Gu Reum. I don’t feel any romantic connections... What I feel between the 2 of them is a good synergy not a romantic chemistry, at least from Gu Reum’s side.
I heard the second season is planned but different actor so im not really looking forward to it anymore, thats…
As long as they don’t replace Leo Wu with Dylan Wang... I am ok with any other young actor, out there. *Rumor has it that Leo had recommended Liu Haoran to play Xiao Yan in the second season. I think Liu Haoran could play that role, well enough. He was solid in Nirvana In Fire season 2.
Oh that’s fantastic. That’s marvelous. Now, we have 2 great series that are unresolved... - Fights Break Sphere season 1 - Douluo Continent season 1
Should I put both of them on my list of “They should have produced a second season by now; however instead, they are wasting production money on stupid-fluffy-weirdly Wuxia dramas...”?
That piques my interest.

Do you have a link where I can read it in English?

But the Dylan’s fans will never agree with you.
