3/10? Seriously!I am not one of his frantic fans but 3/10... come on... that’s ridiculous. How much can you…
Wait, he was on a sabbatical last year? Didn’t he film Joy of Life season 2 last year? They didn’t change the cast, right? I am already used to his character from JOL season 1.
Oh, I hate when they change the cast as they did for Ever Night 2...
Anyway, I am not one of his intense fans but still... Is he ok?
FYI the person who worked on Avenegers Infinity war, Hunger Games etc is the CGI director for this. If there is…
Wow! So this CGI director dropped the ball on this one.
As you said; it could be budget related... Or I am still not sure about the exact dates when this drama was film; it could also be some ramifications associated with the global pandemic...
As I tried to explain to someone else; I am not interested on how well known the people who created the CGIs are. I am only interested with the finished product.

We have Antis everywhere; not just in China. I never got on the Xiao Zhan’s bandwagon; however, that is not a valid reason for me not to enjoy a good drama if it happens to be a good one.
This is one of my favorite genres where the young warrior learns about himself, grows with his powers, joins a sect or what-not and strategies to take revenge for an injustice. Legend of Chusen, Ever Night and Fight Break Sphere are a few of my favorites. Hopefully, Douluo Continent will join that list.
Agree with your statement about the CGI, but I think that's because I've grown accustomed to the qualities presented…
I completely agree with you.
Even with those minor sub-quality issues, I am still interested to watch the second episode. As I previously said, Fight Break Sphere had these same issues; however, i very much enjoyed the series. I will keep my eyes open on this one... Hopefully, I don’t drop it as I did for Legend of Fei:(
The cgi is not horrible at all and have well known people working on cgi so yeah not true.
So your definition of great CGIs, like the ones shown in Ever Night, Ninja Assassin or 300... Is solely based on how well known the people who create them are? Interesting... Thank you for the insight.
Way too early to make an opinion. The CGIs are horrible; however, they also were very subpar in Battle Through the Heavens, aka Fight Break Sphere and I still managed to love the series.
I'm very hopeful that AC will execute this role to the utmost of his abilities. He admitted TXJ was the most challenging…
Yes, LOA was definitely a peculiar production. At least, both entering and exiting OSTs were nice. I have been going through the final chapters of 2HA... ever so slowly because so far, there are still no trailers and all sorts of rumors about new suppression on Chinese BL are going around so I am not in any hurry to finish my reading.
*On a side note, I knew from the very start that there was a reason why I never liked that character, Shi Mei/Shi Ming Jing. After I read the secret behind Mo Ran/Mo Wei Yu/Ta Xian Jun’s incomprehensible madness... I was like, “I knew it... I knew it... I knew that something felt wrong... Now, I know why that specific character had always given me the creeps...”
He made Mo Ran go completely crazy, psychotic and downright insane... just so Mo Ran can look bad in front of his shizun... There is jealousy and jealousy. This is a whole different level of jealousy!
Arthur Chen needs to... No, let me rephrase that... My boy has to destroy that role (Mo Ran / Mo Wei Yu / Ta Xian Jun), like nobody’s business. I need those bragging rights!!!
*I am itching to say “My kid is that good; after his superb performance in Ever Night 1... The Legend of Awakening was just an unfortunate fluke.”
Come on AC... This girl, here, needs those bragging rights!!!
I am hopeful that this will be Leo Wu's most memorable drama since his Nirvana in Fire breakout role.
Leo Wu’s most memorable and recent drama was not NIF 1... It was Cross Fire from last year. He destroyed that role, like nobody’s business... in all sorts of good ways:) Check it out before the release of The Long Ballad.
Strangely, for a Wuxia drama titled with his name on it; I don’t think that Darren Wang got enough screen-times…
:) I watched the first 2 episodes. Now, I am waiting for the drama to be at least 3/4 completed before I continue. *The general character got all my attention, already.
I was waiting for a big comeback from Zhao Liying; unfortunately, Legend of Fei was not it.Her acting felt as…
I feel you...
I stopped paying attention to LOF around episode 20 or so. Now, this has become another “IKEA White Background Noise” drama, for me. It’s playing in the background while I am building an IKEA desk to work from home.
*I love your metaphor... It is like going to a really expensive restaurant, just to waste money on a really bad dish.

The production was cheap and way below expectations. For the life of me, I could not find any chemistry between them. Even in their romantic scenes, their chemistry was more or less platonic.
LOF has the same feel as the Legend of Awakening. Expensive casting but their executions were simply flat.

Not that you wrote anything contradictory to what @nadineb and I were discussing.
We only referenced PA in regards to LOF because both of her female characters are strong and infallible. characters. However, the executions of the 2 dramas widely differ, in terms of productions and emotional attachments to the characters.

I have heard and read about the plagiarism controversy. I think the whole world have, by now... We do understand that we have a better chance to have a remake of Addicted instead of a Princess Agents season 2.
What we are saying is that regardless of the plagiarism, the production of Princess Agents was well made. And Zhao Liying was stunning in it.

I still haven’t read the novel. I should, right? Whatever anyone’s opinion on that subject, for a plagiarized work... the televised script was very much well written and the actors and actresses did a great job.

How much can you possibly assess just from 1 episode?

She is done!
I hope these 2 poor children stay as far as humanly possible from her, their biological families and the 2 biological parents’ respective environment.
There are plenty of infertile parents in this world; who will welcome these 2 little treasures with opened arms.
I might come back to it but not now.
