Why would he recast he was succesful with this cast and they alredy played 2 seasons... I was pissed about that 1 change for season 2!!! They brought in a new actor that is kind of loved, maybe they thought he will bring more fans, but it does not work for this role, I actually thouth his expresions were stifffffff compared to the other actor in season 1.... I hope they are smart enough to know that changing the beloved cast would ruin the show, didn't they lear with Evernight???!!!! True, they are not, but at the same time, their relationship is not normal. Sei lost his family and has only himself. While the other guy, for some reason, said he couldn't give him a relationship and that he never wanted one, but he still cared enough for Sei to call him his best friend and wanted to somehow be there for him. Despite all the issues he has and how much he struggles with contact, he does care for Sei. When Sei fell in the bathroom, he got scared, but when the touching became sexual, he became angry. So, the only thing I could think of regarding his affection, is that it's brotherly love. He is okay with being close and touching when it is a type of pure affection, but in all the other interactions, he seemed angry and disgusted by the idea. I also think that he may want to make Sei happy and be there for his friend, but he just does not feel the same way, which could stem from some trauma. The reason I say I don't think he romantically likes Sei is that the other commenter is right; he could watch, to give Sei some satisfaction, but he is not willing at all—anything sexual is off-limits. They could have talked about it then because he knows Sei likes him, so talking would just give Sei peace of mind (knowing the guy could at least romantically like him back). He can be possessive because he seems to be close to him and somehow he works from home and has no other person around. So, he seems to lean a lot on Sei. Also, I experienced something similar before, I had a friend who was possessive of me and did not like me getting along with others, it's not romantic or sexual, and obviously, it's not healthy. So they were best friends and the guy is ok with that, he likes having someone there, that way he is not lonely, and he feels accepted (even if he has a lot of fixations). They do make sex seem unimportant (as in, they encourage meaningless-mindless sex) and they do this as mainstream information. That was why in one of my comments I mentioned that I think this was a type of mistake by this actor (he most likely did not want to make this public) but that in the West I do see people of influence sexualize their art, sexualize themselves in exaggerated ways and being celebrated for it (I thought others did worse things with intention, while this post I think it was unintentional, or in the worse case a lack of thinking seriously).
