can we delete this since this just gives false hope? this was never confirmed. i'm so sad
actually, the writer said she was working on the story, it was pretty sure, the couple even appeared in a Japanese BL to promote the idea of a second season.
It was even explained how they planned to undo the ending.

Title Hikaru no Go Spoiler
Does anyone know where to find a DVD set of this? I'm seeing listings on Ebay, but I'd prefer an official source.Thanks.
I don't think there is one, I searched for an official DVD version for multiple Chinese series and there were only unofficial versions... I was told that China does not tend to cater to other countries...

If this is "draggy" I wonder how many of you would get through Breaking Bad, which is one of the slowest dramas…
You are right this drama is good, I studied scrip writing and I can say that the story is not bad would have loved a longer series with time to dive in on each period of time, focus a bit more on the side characters and dynamics ( The Untamed made use of the flashbacks to say the story and still managed to keep the secrets hidden) but I expected certain things as I imagine everyone that watched Asian dramas did. There is a kind of an unspoken rule, but usually Asian dramas that are based on folklore, mythology and supernatural creatures or demons, have a sad ending and a dark vibe (this project had the elements).
It managed to keep the viewers questioning the events, I even noticed people that still did not unde the actual events or misunderstood them.

Title Bed Friend
I don't know why, but "Uea is a very private person who hates casanovas, while King - is a casanova" made me laugh…
Yes, the entire description made me laugh, and the use of "They don't like each other but begin to have a particular "relation" for some reason."
They don't know why, we don't know why but for some reason things happen :))

guest appearance would satisfy me
The novel Heavy Sweetness, Ash-like Frost by Dian Xian. At first, the producer wanted to do all 3 love stories with the same cast but he realized it was close to impossible because the actors were in demand... so the other 2 stories were made separately...
So I figured this project is new and has nothing to do with the book

the First Japanese adaptation was a low budget movie tbf, it's one of Toei's failed movie franchise project.
True I gues they tried to creat something out of the hype of the manga, but it came out a mess, I think I saw it on youtube for the first time years back :) but I watched it :)

I saw all the projects that were created around the manga story, it was interesting to look at how each country…
The Korean Boys Over Flowers version was loved but was so dramatic, the production tried so much with the hair and clothes that it made people think "less is more" :)) The storyline has the classic Korean signature all zigzagging and yes-no-yes-no feel to it, left the viewers asking themselves if there would ever be a character that knows how to communicate properly. The main girl was in no way close to the original version, she did not know how to stand up for herself, she went with the self-sacrificing card too much.

Meteor Garden Chinese version had a youthful feel to it but like the Taiwanese version, it had a different ending. Also because I saw all the other versions, this one gave me the sensation that it was not finished, or rushed.

F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers is by far the best, for now, there is no surprise there, they had the original source and all the other projects at their disposition to analyze.
They decided to keep the main story but also build upon it, they worked well at the character development, everything flows and has continuity, they created very believable characters, and even more important the viewers can understand the flow of their decisions and how they got where they are. Goya is the most accurate version from my point of view in depicting the original character as a live-action version, she is strong and she does fight the right way.
I am happy that the production team decided to use this story and highlight some social problems and other parts crucial for ones development and addressing them properly (social status and bullying, transformation, and coming of age).

I saw all the projects that were created around the manga story, it was interesting to look at how each country interpreted the info and how they each put their own spin (with the specific vibe of the country) on the story.
The manga and the anime (1996-1997) are generally the most loved; people obviously compare the live-action projects with the original source.
The first project, the Japanese version gave me the impression that the acting was exaggerated and looked comical, people generally complain about the transition from paper to live-action describing it more like cosplay than acting, and I felt the movie Hana Yori Dango1995 kind of did that.
Meteor Garden, Meteor Garden II, and Meteor Rain (Taiwanese) had crazy success because of the first season people were talking about the chemistry, and because they had the second lead syndrome by the second season the story changes from the original source. I think they were trying to milk this project as much as possible, and because the main actress and the second lead were dating in real life, the chemistry was crazy on-screen, the fans were supporting the couple they made the second season... and changed the story. It left me scratching my head, thinking the entire first season had no purpose because everything that happens/and was said by the main characters felt unimportant/insincere... People said this project was more like a melodrama and could be enjoyed if the original source was forgotten. As for Meteor Rain, they were milking it and milking it, only one of the stories was inspired by the manga the others were original, this project felt a bit unnecessary.
The Japanese TV series and the movie was brighter, the acting was good but the interactions were a bit strange, the chemistry was better in other projects compared to this one, and I think it was because of the way the girl was written (she was not "aggressive" when she was supposed to be, but kind of acted mean when it was not necessary. Things changed in the movie, the chemistry was crazy there. The drama was not bad for its time.

You meant The Wolf? What was the original concept and trailer?
I saw a warewolf story in another Chinese project but it was a low budget project so the efects and story was a so-so :)
Well I did complain about The Wolf a bit, I mean the FL was portraied week the guys were always saving and helping her but at the end scene she was so strong an capable... it did not make sense for her to die when she was shown the strongest, when the entire show she looks week and she keeps geting away. Was she strong or not? Like the post production was a bit messy and it felt like plot holes. Attention to detail is important but the FL was not consisten, sometimes I wonder if Asian writers can write strong FL, they keep falling in the demselindestress thing almost every time.
I saw dramas in which the girl is strong can beat 5 guys at a time then the guy comes along and she sudenly can't beat 2 girls and need help... how?!! How does that make sense? :))

You meant The Wolf? What was the original concept and trailer?
I think so too, also I think she did not think her project will be that loved because it was first filmed in 2016 or 2017, the trailer was out in 2017 and some short clips, the cast was not that well known and the main guy is not from main land China but from Taiwan, so they did not expect the project to have alredy a fallowing... but I remember I saw the first trailer in 2017 and the show was suposed to air and it was crazy people talking in the coments waiting a lot of international fans loved the trailer and the actors.
I was so into it because I do like folklore and legends I grew up with them because of the country I live in, always stories with creature and so on :)) So I was fascinated to see a Chinese drama take a western element and makeing it their own... so I waited for the series to air when they anounced it, but it was posponed then 2018 came and they set another date but it was posponed again, people in the comment section were going crazy going on Chinese youtube chanels asking in eng if in China there are news about the drame :)))
In 2019 the same, people started to lose fate, I was just going in every few months on forums and to find info and finaly in 2020 at the end the show was out and was even streamed on youtub with eng subs:)) They announced they changed it from the original version because that was not approved and also they called in the actors to film some extra parts, and they just eddited everythnig., but after the show was out people were sad the girl died after suffering so much in the series... and in an interview the writer said she regrets not changing the ending.

You meant The Wolf? What was the original concept and trailer?
Yes :) He was a warewolf and his army was riding wolves, there was some other clips from the show aired and the vibe was diffrent. If I remember right in that period of time dramas that had western influences/ inspirations, or were mixed with other culturs were baned... The drama was not approaved so they had to reedit and was changed. After it aired the writer said she regreted not changing the ending.

Yes :)) The Wolf :))) Sry for the wrong typing.
The concept was darker, and he was a warewolf, it seemed more supernatural, his eyes were shining red, even the main song got changed.
I am curious if someone saved the original trailer and if it can be found. :)

Maybe, around late 2023. My guess
Hope so but since they baned any BL and any "pretty boys" from TV...
