don't get me wrong, i'm a fan of historical dramas . i love all the casts ... but i've been skipping a lot in…
I loooved the first episodes and also really like the ones after the mortal arc but have to agree - Mortal realm had a different feel and felt draggy, was too much like other dramas and this is , as a whole, quite an original series so I felt the difference quite strongly there. It's ok though , it picked after

Omg totally disagree about the Ariel part lol she has a right to freedom like every being, leave her alone 😃.…
Yes, narcissistic parents can be the worse abusers, they teach that wanting your own freedom is "selfish" and make sure people blame the victim. Disney portrayed it quite well for an animaton, even without doing it on purpose I suppose...

Is this the best adapted drama from Jiu Lu Fei Xiang so far in ur opinion ? Has any of her other novels had great…
Omg totally disagree about the Ariel part lol she has a right to freedom like every being, leave her alone 😃. Every kid puts their parents behind at some point and that is how it should be in life in order to have a life on your own. She had to sacrifice so much because her own parent was sooo controlling, didn't leave her any chance. Shes trying to fight for her dreams and keep sane, dont judge.

Little Mermaid is also my favourite, not just Ariel
I am little bit out of topic in this feed but anyway..haha

I want to watch something newer with Rong Hao as the main main actor. Not like a supporting role. Some angle when…
He is so charismatic and mature, definately has the main guy vibe but maybe in a more "serious" drama. He is a little bit like younger Chen Kun

I binged the entire series up to most recent episode over the weekend after finishing LLTG. I don't normally bother…
Exactly, Love and Destiny was the last great xianxia for me and this one is just magical, cant believe it exists lol <3

Oh, pls I thought I'm the only one who feel so sad abt being paired with another actress. Finding YD and YY's…
Exactly, a needle in the thread...if his parents' story is soooo good and i important, why not make it a separate drama buuuut I don't agree with it being a huge part of this drama, if it takes more than 1 whole ep. Im dropping this show. I had higher expectations, especially hearing about the Demon third life imagining exciting things that are probably not happening...
On Immortal Samsara: Part 1 Aug 17, 2022
I'm not interested to see ML paired with another FL in the same drama, even if he plays his father. We already don't have enough screen time for the main love story.
I will skip over their episodes, yes, hes attractive there but...no, it's strange lol

Some of you here talked about the Demon arc before and I thought it was about YY and YD next life but...did you actually mean that the whole third life thing is not even about them? Because, wow, that would be massively disappointing if true. Thought YY would be the demon :(

can anyone tell me the motive behind the kidnapping??
He gets his kicks from killing vulnerable people(the only ones he can "control"), unfortunately there are many losers like him that fake being humans. No way to be justified, there is no logical reason of course , I think because we all have heard of such cases the writers didn't specifically mention "the reason"(hes not mentally ill be ause he understands what he does, probably a psychopath though) I mean, is there a real reason for these things? He must have had a sick fantasy since little and achieved nothing in life so he started acting on the things he imagined..

Not yet. Most likely, next week. I think the one episode today will wrap it up before entering into the mortal…
Yes, this arc they stretch out on purpose and it doesn't have anything ro offer anymore, some episodes don't have anything happening, too draggy.

lol I shouldn't have read the comments before giving my take on the last episode... but okay. I hate how people…
Agree that the motive of the criminal is absolutely not needed. And while I find the drama faulty with many things, I am praising the director for choosing to portray the case as it is and it should be - victims are inportant, not the perpetrator. Their "reasons" and "understanding" then would NOT prevent a future case like this. While psychology is important to find the culprit and investigators do use the help of psychologists as gar as I know, I believe that's not whats most important for this crimes - what is is understanding HOW to protect people in danger of such crimes, the most vulnerable - children, elderly, prostitues and so on. It's the society's responsibility to change some of its ways of thinking and learn to help victims.
Psychopaths will always exist, we son't need to know the problems they had with their mothers be ause it's not the upringing that's the sole reason for such decision - people have will, they do things because they want to, you'll never guess who is the next murderer even you make a background check of people from their childhood - it's not what most concerns investigators too, let alone the family of victims. As if it is so inteiguing to learn the waya of a loser on this scale(most often these "people" are exactly aociety's losers). As if by changing a part of his past he wouldn't turn this way, as if family trauma truly breeds criminals - no.

There are genetics, there is also upbringing and then there is personality. I think there ahould be more attention on the traume of the victim, on their personalit and life - to remember them as i dividuals. I am also tired of uneeded "morbid fascination" - it's literally not even practical to have this information.
So it's good the series concentrated on the people at the center of such crimes and their life, not the life of an insecure man-wanna-be that goes after little kids. Like wow, isnt that "interesting" :) not even a bit

I can't why they got to do Yu Mo like that whoever thought of those bangs are evil they did him dirty. Yan Dan,…
I think the actor of Yu Mo somehow doesn't suit ancient/historical dramas, his look is too modern and it's a contrast to the world and other actors. Maybe the styling is part of this..

So you are telling me, Dahyun was near a street tent/stall and instead of staying put where people are around,…
Yes, it was such a wrong move to choose small alleys instead of a main road or just stand where you are. Really baffling, especially coming from a grown person that was stalked so often before.
In Korea don't they have a space for pedestrians near main roads, do they get to places only by using the back streets? I guess they don't because FL is always alone in those small streets, so it's just her :)

I'm not watching immortal samsara but I believe that it's Xianxia, so having a lot of CGI is so normal, it's completely…
Totally agree. LLTG is all about realism and the colouring and editing is completely on point with that.
IS has another aesthetic and this earthy grading would not sit okay with it.

Has anyone here ever seen The Rise of Phoenix? How does it compare to this drama?
They are veeery different. As others said - LLTG is a coming of age story(and we're coming to the romance part). Rise of Phoenixes is a political story on a grand scale coupled with a tragic but beautiful romance. The acting in ROP is on another level than most dramas which is okay, doesbt mean other dramas don't have good acting, just that ROP has Oscar worthy acting because of the main actors who are more mature and have more experience and exceptional talent, especially Chen Kun. If youre in the mood, definately check ROP out because of the cinematography and mostly probabably the best character on the small screen - Ning Yi, absolute pleasure to watch his story, that acting and characterization was true art.
LLTG is great but again, very different, I didn't expect these two dramas to be compared. What they have in common is maybe only that they are Chinese historical shows.

Seriously…… the scene where he sentences Yandan is like a masterclass in subtle micro emotions!!!!
Yes, totally! Also...when she was collecting lotus dew and he was there..in a moment, as they were talking, he just made a step forward and his whole face went from normal YY to in love YY, he showed such gentle but strong intent in the way he looked at her, at his subtle but obvious way of showing his feelings when he asked her to act out the play for him again and made a promise this time he will be there.
He hid nothing then and if YD was more experienced with relationships and reading emotions, she would see his feelings right away, I replayed that small.moment, it meant so much. He was clearly saying "Im here now and won't leave you", and so much love in his eyes...aaah...too bad those things happened after and he couldn't keep his promise.
On Immortal Samsara: Part 1 Jul 25, 2022
Cheng Yi is a very expressive actor - he so clearly shows he is in love, just by slight changes on his face, I don't remember him being this good before , here he is a natural

Omg this is so messed up and sad...Think we'll have to endure tomorrow and this hopeless arc will be over, it's…
Just to add - the song at the end credits is so painfully beautiful, epic and delicate at the same time, it really touches your heart...every time it comes up in a scene I know it's time for crying ;(
Also, the first accords are like the music from Titanic, that eery beautiful sound of a distant lullaby(from a flute, I think?), so otherworldly and sad sometimes...
