Don't worry it's a very happy ending in the novel for everyone :) Though Priest (the author) has a knack for making things painfully angsty up until she can lol, but just be patient and you'll get a happy turn-around :)

As for GCC and Chu-ge, the appearances of their pairing in the novel and the drama are pretty much the same, but the dynamics are different? Not explicit romance "i like you" stuff, but definitely not brotherly love like in the drama lol. But yeah, their pair is stil very cute nonetheless so I think you'll enjoy it a lot! :)

The drama has a very different premise than the novel though so it might be confusing, but the dynamics of the characters are pretty much the same. It's a very, very good read though. Enjoy! :)

Thanks for explaining! I knew it, in the earlier scenes where she had dinner with the LSY-CYM couple I somehow felt this weird vibe from her, plus I thought her glances towards CYM were very questionable

The last episode I saw was the 7th I think, when Chen Yiming confessed to Li Siyu about being fired at work, but then I saw a new spoiler of him kissing Siyu's friend that lent her money in the earlier episodes?? What happened? Please give spoilers ._.

Hello, I watched it on YouTube with English subtitles (China Zone channel), but I think it's region-blocked in the US. So maybe you can try the WeTV app instead, it's another official distributor of the drama and with English subtitles (it's called "Tencent Video" in some countries afaik). Hopefully it works in your side :)

If all else fails, you can try third-party websites like DramaCool, but it's not a legal platform so you might need to have some ad blockers installed.

I was actually planning on binge-watching this but it's so real that it's almost heavy. Like my weak heart can only take up to, idk, 4 episodes max per day lol. Which goes to say the drama is doing a great job on being realistic, because as a working adult, each scene (esp Chen Yiming's, man Zhu Yilong is a phenomenal actor) just hits me like a pile of rocks.

It was perfect, but I just hoped that Lin Shu would have at least returned to the Capital before dying and have a peaceful death in his home surrounded by all the people he cares about and not, you know, in a ruthless battlefield :( But yeah I get the parallel, he's going back to where he (his second life) came from :(

Nonetheless I can indeed see that we are attacked here for no reason once in a while, and it feels good to see that The Untamed has such dedicated fans. I hope that we all get to have a healthy environment where we can enjoy and discuss the dramas we love in peace :)

Both NIF and The Untamed are legendary and I personally love both, so I hope we can praise one without bringing down the other :)

Generally yes, I liked the novel more than the series, though there are some things that I liked more in the series. ZYL and SW gets extremely cute in the novel (think backhugs, sweet kisses, pet names, etc.) so yeah you won't be disappointed :)

My favorite OST of all-time is for Cheese in the Trap. I read the webtoon first before the drama was even announced and it's all I can ask for the music; it really captures the melancholic/mature/cozy college setting well.

Runner-ups for me are Goblin (same producer/director as CITT afaik? so looks like they really know their music lol) and The Untamed.

Just finished this drama and wow what a ride! The main leads' acting and chemistry are so good, and the characters of Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan are beautiful I want to watch it again. If we have someone like them irl the world would be a much better place.

I'am also pretty satisfied with the ending tbh, yes it will break your heart but it's hopeful and not completely sad :)
